Barbara Kaufman has been a joy to work with on furnishing my ‘new old townhouse’. Her sense of color, design and attention to detail are remarkable. Barbara helped me avoid costly mistakes with purchasing furniture and accessories that would not work. She saved me money by leveraging existing furniture and accessories that would work. Barbara listened to what type of ‘look and feel’ I was trying to achieve and designed some truly incredible pieces for me. She custom designed window treatments, master bed, console table and wool rug that are all remarkable. She modernized my art by changing the frames. She tied my entire home together with color and proportion. I love my ‘new old townhouse’. It is unique, interesting, fun and it is me. I appreciate Barbara’s talent and personality so much that I am having her modernize the community that I live in. The community was built in the ‘70s and needs lots of work. I trust that Barbara will transform the community into something spectacular.

Barbara has been working with us for 10 plus years. She has taken care of every aspect of our extensive remodel. Her vision and attention to functional detail has culminated in our beautiful home inside and out. Any time you do a remodel as extensive as ours, anxiety and indecision reign large in your mind. Of course,dreams must also be balanced against cost. Barbara has gently and deftly led us through all of these difficulties to create a home far beyond our dreams. We often laugh about our many episodes of panic and indecision that were answered by Barbara with " trust me!" And she was right every time. We have a gorgeous home and a true professional we can rely on for further dream projects. Without any reservation I recommend her to my closest friends who can count on her expertise and integrity to create what they are trying to achieve.

Barbara created a brand new kitchen for us, using a variety of counter surfaces, a very unusual eat- in table, and cabinets that were so user friendly, and clever. A cabinet that hid my step stools, and a cabinet for the mixmaster, etc. excellent appliances, all placed for easy access and use. Very very satisfied with the design and the outcome.

I have worked with Barbara Kaufman for over 30 years. She has helped me redo my living room, dining room, bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen was the most recent. We gutted rearranged appliances, made room, room, room for all the dishes and cookware I've accumulated over the years and continue to use. The thing I like most about working with Barbara is that she never tries to impose her taste on the customer. She listens and understands what "feel" and "look" the customer likes and then works within those parameters. When she thinks something you want will not work, she lets you know and then shows you how it might work by making a few changes. Barb is the first person I call when I need decorating/design advice. She always comes in on budget!

Barbara Kaufman helped us design and decorate an 11 year old home we bought. Her thoroughness and expertise allowed us to end up with a dream home. Her design ideas and the contractors that she used were excellent. She was reliable and attentive to our needs . I highly recommend her.

Barbara Kaufman is able to design, remodel, repurpose and more with such creativity! Her eye for color is incredible. We have worked with her over the past twelve years, in two different homes, and will continue to! She has done everything from designing furniture to meet our specific needs, extensively remodeling one house, designing and building another one, landscape design, and more. Barbara is easy to work with, has the patience of a saint, and gives every project - large or small - her full attention and creative energy.
