Donnally Architects is an architecture firm located in Seattle, WA. We focus on residential and small commercial projects, both new construction and alterations. Our goal and our practice is to provide experienced forethought as well as reassuring guidance to our clients, many of whom are facing this process for the first time.

Donnally Architects remodeled the daylight basement and outdoor patio in my West Seattle home. The lower level of the home went from a dark and dated pine paneled wood theme to a stunning mid century modern space. An entire wall of dark paneling was removed and replaced with a full wall of windows (floor to ceiling) bringing the outdoors in, along with lots of light. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for great design principles and qualify craftmanship.

We hired Donnally Architects to help us with a remodel in our 1911 home. The project included adding a master bath and remodeling the existing bathroom on the second floor. We had no idea how to apportion the space and incorporate the features we wanted. We even consulted with various professional friends. It took Bruce Donnally to come up with the perfect plan! We appreciated Bruce's keen architectural eye and his tireless attention to detail. At one point during construction, the contractors installed the door to the new bathroom off center in the new wall they were building. On our own, we might have been inclined to overlook that flaw, but, Bruce intervened on our behalf. The wall was re-built and the door installed in the proper place. I mentally thank Bruce everyday for not allowing that mistake to stand. We love our master bath. It's perfect in every way, thanks to Donnally Architects. JGR

Bruce Donnally was hired when our house was severely damaged by water. Where I saw ruined floors and soggy dry wall, Bruce saw possibilities. He turned an 80's eye sore into a contemporary gem, all on a modest budget. Bruce is both innovative and resourceful, and helped me to select materials and finishes that gave the clean, sleek look I wanted, without breaking the bank. Because Bruce has so much hands on experience with construction, his plans and ideas can be easily translated into reality. I found him to be open minded, extremely knowledgeable and a delight to work with. His communication skills are exceptional and more than that, he is a very astute listener. Thanks to Bruce's creativity and experience, our house is not only more beautiful, it is also more functional.

Having worked with Bruce on two projects, I am happy to recommend him to others who wish to create a lovely and practical living space. Bruce worked with us to customize a newly built condo of 1800 square feet before we moved in. Having his insight into the ways to utilize wasted space gave us additional closet spaces with built in storage, pantry, two office spaces and beautiful living room bookshelves and fireplace surround. Also important to me was integration of TV, cable boxes, audio and speakers, internet and all wiring needed and put them in a place convenient but out of sight. It is important to think these details through before the drywall goes up! Finish details included wenge wood, stone and metal used in unique ways. Bruce acted as liaison between different trades to insure orderly progression of work and worked to the budget. A very pleasant experience.

My husband, Evan and I are very happy to recommend Donnally Architects. Bruce is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. His strong design skills and attention to detail are certainly some of his greatest assets. His designs are unique and creative, and, in our case, designed to fit within our modest budget. We're extremely proud of the finished product!

Bruce is one of those professionals who cares. He cares about his work and he cares about the people he serves. We own a small apartment house in West Seattle and were facing some difficult decisions about a restoration project. Bruce's counsel and support were excellent. He always kept our needs in mind and shared several conceptual ideas that proved invaluable. Aside from being a consummate professional, he is a wonderful guy.

Commented: Bath renovationThe countertop and tub sills are all 3 cm natural stone slabs with a honed finish. I believe the stone is a variety of limestone.

Commented: Can you advise what external panel materials are used here?The Parklex still looks great. I believe a 4x8 sheet is about $350, plus shipping (from Spain).
