About Us

Hendo Contracting was founded in 1979 in Elmont, NY by the present owner, Bob Henderson. Bob started his remodeling career in 1974 at the age of nineteen. After apprenticing for two years, he worked as a sub-contractor for several businesses, establishing a name for himself. After living and working in Queens and Long Island his entire life, Bob and his family decided to move to Rockland County in 1985. It was at that time that Hendo Contracting was established in New City. Although the company has grown, their same business practices still apply: attention to detail, quality materials, respect for your property, and fair pricing. Referrals are what built Hendo Contracting into one of the most respected remodeling companies in the area. That's why our motto is, 'The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more.'

His honesty quality and workmanship are beyond compare. He's tops. My family and I have used him on many jobs throughout the years on 44 Third Street without reservation. He's always been professional, honest, timely and always backs up all of his work. So when you think of a project to be done professionally and right. Think Hendo contracting.

Hendo is currently working on my house in New City, NY and I couldn't be happier. The team is excellent. Beginning with the staff in the office to the guys in the field, they are honest, hardworking and trustworthy. My house is starting to look better than I imagined and it is because of the high level of workmanship and expertise the entire crew has. My family couldn't be happier with our choice of contractor. Literally, I had neighbors drive by and tell me Hendo worked on their home and I made the right choice! Their reputation is impeccable and I would definitely use them again and recommend them as well.

Hendo contractors were a pleasure to work with! Kenny was always available to answer any questions that came up. The work crews were very professional, and took great care to keep things clean and neat during the construction. Kenny’s suggestions along the way were always spot on and helped us save money where possible with no cost over runs or surprises. I would unconditionally recommend Hendo for any contracting project. They will certainly be our first call for any future work.

We hired Hendo to replace our roof. Its been a little over a year and we've not had any issues whatsoever. The work was done promptly and price was fair. Roof looks great. He did our folk's roof also around the same time and they are also very satisfied.

We called Hendo Contracting to repair a leaking roof. They set up a date and time and they showed up at that exact time, a rarity with other contractors. The repair was completed in under an hour at a very reasonable price and just in time. The next day we had a heavy rain and not a drop come into our home. We couldn't be happier.

Jack and his crew just did a whole new roof and gutters on my ranch-style house. They did a terrific job, and even with the additional cost of replacing the 17 pieces of rotted decking and fascia they discovered after removing the old roof, they came in way less than my other quotes-even using the same materials. They sent me photos of everything as they went so I had a great sense of what was going on (I was out of town for the majority of the project.) They were quick, courteous and totally responsive, and they will be my first call when I need more work done on the house!

We found Hendo Contracting after seeing their work in our neighborhood. We were halfway through a project that needed to be redone due to poor quality by the previous contractor. Hendo completed the job beautifully, on time and for the amount we were quoted. They were professional and a pleasure to work with for the duration of our project. I would highly recommend them.

Hendo Contracting replaced all my windows. He quoted a fair price and his team had the job done in two days. They were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. The windows look great.

Bob Henderson (Hendo contracting) was awarded a renovation project at our house. He had the best price out of the four other contractors. He showed us his references on projects he had recently completed and the workmanship. We were impressed and upon finishing the project were very happy. The project called for new windows, new vinyl siding, and new deck.

We hired Hendo Contracting in Fall 2015 to do a remodel of the front of our house and a complete re-siding - including cedar shakes and cultured stone. Hendo's incredibly diligent, detail-oriented and speedy crew transformed our home in a matter of a few weeks. And it was a big job, with loads of odd little corners. Bob and his sons were also a pleasure to work with as they directed everything - always responding to emails/texts/calls and heading any issues off before they became problems. They also coordinated with an electrician and a great crew from Moose Tracks who put in a new garage door. Often at the end of a job, there are loads of little things that need addressing and then fall by the wayside...but that was never the case with Hendo. The work was immaculate. And now we officially have "curb appeal"!
