Barry was absolutely amazing to work with. He is highly skilled and professional, and brought f passion, creativity and dedication to our project from start to finish. He was a true partner in our project, which was a significant renovation of a 100-year old Tudor home in Queens. We gut-renovated the kitchen and four bathrooms, restored the fireplace, finished the basement, installed central air, stripped the hardwood floors throughout, painted, and did a hundred other smaller tweaks to our new home. The home was in terrible shape and the renovations, while extensive, were completed ON TIME AND WITHIN BUDGET! Barry helped us pick out the perfect tiles, cabinets, appliances, tubs, etc. and he ensured that our vision was executed just as we imagined. Because he manages the contractors, deliveries, etc. all we really had to do was pick out the finishes and relax as he executed. Because he is a skilled architect, he was able to conceive of the perfect, functional layout for our somewhat small kitchen, demonstrating infinite patience as we tweaked and re-tweaked the layout. Barry is a true collaborator, helping not to just execute a vision but to shape the vision. He brings the perfect combination of skill, creativity and project management to the table. He is also just a fun and easy person to work with. A stress-free renovation, imagine that! In short, you couldn't be in better hands than Boneau Design. The process was stress-free, and our home looks stunning.

I've done multiple projects with Boneau Design, ranging from my first NYC apartment to my Williamsburg loft and my dream family home in Bed Stuy. What I've really appreciated with Barry is his highly collaborative approach to understanding my aesthetics and the way we will be using the space and then built recommendations around those ideas. Across all our projects together, Barry was involved ahead of us purchasing the properties to analyze whether they could fit within our renovation goals, do schematic design and give renovation budget guidance to provide a truly holistic view of costs ahead of the purchases. His hands-on approach created trust and resulted in spaces that felt highly personal to who we are and how we live, were of the highest quality craftsmanship and maximized every aspect of our space.

We used Boneau Designs for a gut renovation of a master bath and an update of another bath in our prewar apartment.
