Brian did a fantastic job with building and installing our living room shelves and kitchen leaf. He had great recommendations based on the initial ideas I had for each space, and he was very careful and thorough with installation. Would definitely recommend him!

Through a recommendation of a student designer working at the furniture store, Brian Scono was recommended as a craftsman who builds built in units and furniture. I replaced an old tradition oak built in bookcase for a a more contemporary unit. From start to finish Brian was there for me to make the final choice of finish to hardware etc. I was very please with his workmanship and his willingness to do extra work that I had neglected to consider like dismantling my complicated audiovisual unit and moving the former bookcase to another location. When everything was finished, the entire unit was fabulous as one can see from the enclosed photo.

As a designer specializing in renovations that require high-end, historically appropriate interior finishes, I have Brian at Opus Woodworking on speed dial when I need mantles, built-n bookshelves, and the like. He delivers beautiful work on schedule and on budget, and my clients are always thrilled.

We hired Brian to build some bookshelves and a stand for a piece of artwork as part of a home renovation. He listened to what we wanted and provided an alternative approach for the stand, which we ended up agreeing with. The shelves are beautiful, and were installed with great care and attention to detail. We are thrilled with the results. He was a delight to work with, and we are already planning another project with him.

Brian created three separate live-edge pieces for our newly built home: a built-in peninsula in our kitchen, a built-in seat for our mudroom and a bench for our entranceway. We love them all! The finishes on all three pieces are really beautiful and durable, and we get so many complements from our guests. Brian came to our home and did the install and made sure the pieces fit perfectly in their space. If we need more pieces for our home, he will be the first place we’d go.

Brian is more than a carpenter, he's a furniture designer as well. His finishes alone sold me on the quality of his work. He cares about every single detail and is extremely professional and thorough. I can't wait to work with him again!

We originally hired Opus to provide us with solid wood floating shelves and wine rack at a bar area in our new office in Columbus Ohio. The work turned out exactly as we had designed. Working with Brian and his team, we could not have asked for a better partner. He helped us with some of the detailing and the end product was perfect. They are extremely easy to work with are very responsive and know how to help you make your vision a reality. In fact we have repeatedly asked them to complete additional projects for us including building a plinth for a beverage cooler and facing it with a finished metal base and providing metal base on a conference room table. I would and do recommend them to anyone who asks me.

Brian completed a number of important projects for our new townhome, including (1) the installation of floating shelves in two bathrooms, (2) the installation of asymmetrical shelves on either side of our gas fireplace, as well as floating, soft-close cabinets (for which he matched the paint in our color scheme), (3) a steel and wood mantle for our fireplace, and (4) a fun metal-and-leather shelving system in our second (rooftop) kitchen that I had shown him on Houzz which he duplicated perfectly (and that our neighbors also copied because he did an amazing job!!). His prices are very reasonable, he is trustworthy (we gave him an extra key to our home so that he could come and go as he pleased while we were at work during the day), and he cleaned up after each day's work. Plus, he is easy to talk to and really understands the vision of his clients. He is A+++ and I would *HIGHLY* recommend him!!

Brian/Opus Woodworking was recommended to me by the architects who designed my condo and this project. Brian executed the design for the fireplace, seating/storage, and display shelving for my unit. His work was impeccable. His choice of materials and the craftsmanship were outstanding. He has done some smaller jobs for me and they have all been done with the same attention to detail. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending him.

Absolutely spectacular workmanship! Not only an excellent woodworker but a good eye for space and design. He has completed three major jobs in our house, and we will hire him again for the next one!
