Capital Remodeling

They don't even deserve 1 star. We are into month 10 of a kitchen remodel with Capital. They have had 3 crews in, all incompetent. The first didn't level or measure when installing anything, drawer pulls installed just by sight. New cabinet faces had to be reordered. They left one evening and didn't cap the water line for the refrigerator that had just been removed and it leaked and flooded the kitchen. The cook top was installed but not under the hood, it was about 2 inches off with a gap behind the cook top. Just mistake after mistake. Last straw, in an effort to align the hood and range, they pulled out the hood and tile and moved the upper cabinets to where they should be. When they reinstalled the hood and chimney, they bent the hood (but said nothing, hoping we wouldn't notice). The replaced the hood and came to reinstall it and bent it again, left a bunch of crooked tile and brown grout all over everything. We'll need to hire a new company to come repair it all. They'll tell you that they'll fix something but then screw up 2 more things. It's the worst remodel I've seen and when we had another contractor come in to help us, they were open-mouthed shocked at how shoddy all of the work was. I mean, we have miles of trim covering up screw ups. They also had to replace a door on the refrigerator because their "design" that eliminated any space between my refrigerator and oven ensured that when you opened the refrigerator door it would hit the oven door pull. Just incompetent all around. I have albums of pictures but here are a few.

When our sales person Scott showed up at the door to talk about our potential window replacement, I asked him to keep it short and not too sell me the window during our conversation. I already knew I needed new windows, everyone is going to claim that their windows were the best and I should buy from them. I didn't care for the fancy props or to hear about the bells and whistles. I used to build and remodel houses for a living before I joined the Navy. The only thing I wanted to know was why should I buy from Capital Remodeling and how much it was going to cost me. What got me to close was Scott respected my request, albeit it was a rude one, and we got right to business. The conversation instantly became two-way. This was a relief because, more often than not, it's the salesperson trying to convince you to buy their stuff with sales tactics. I'm not very receptive to being manipulated. The windows are local, along with the folks that repair them if I had to make a warranty claim. No random subcontractor hired by a corporate company. The warranty is lifetime and transferable if I chose to sell my house and the qoute for my window replacement was $7000 less than other contractors I received qoutes from. The work was done quickly and efficiently and communication was fluid both ways. I would be happy to recommend this company to anyone who needs a window replacement. They will be first I contact when I decide to make further renovations.

Capital remodeling did an outstanding job with my kitchen. They also was great at keeping me updated with any changes or additions. The people I worked with were very professional, caring and honest.

Very professional, knowledgeable, courteous & the installers were also very good. Job was completed on schedule and cleaned up as if they were never here.

I had windows replaced in my home. The installers arrived on time and knocked out the project quickly. They were courteous and respectful of my home. They also cleaned up so well it was as if they were never there. I love my new windows and had a positive experience from the very first meeting with the sales rep. I highly recommend Capital Remodeling and look forward to completing more of my home improvements with them.

I highly recommended Capital remodeling, because I order my windows two years ago with them. The time I signed contract with them, after six weeks they installed my windows. They did a good job with my windows and after my windows was installed, I noticed one of them it's have a cracked and I show it to the contractors. One of the contractors gave me a number to call, which I did and the person who I spoke to told me we will replace it, and within two weeks it's been installed. Am very happy with my windows.
