We have been working with Carol and her team on various project, big and small, over the last 7 years. Not only every single out turned out to be a stunning masterpiece of design that brought just happy smiles on clients' faces, but most importantly it was always a pleasure to be a part of such amazing collaboration! Carol's great ideas, attention to details, innovative but timeless solutions, patience in listening to the clients and taking into account vendors input; combined with her warm smile and kind words always made it an enjoyable experience for all. I was the owners representative for a custom home in Gallatin, New York. Working with Carol was extremely gratifying as our clients needs were fulfilled and her creative solutions added to the overall experience. In the end a beautifully designed home with attention to detail as well as a thorough knowledge of construction separated CKA from the competition. I would gladly recommend her for another project without hesitation!!

Nearly thirty years ago Carol designed our house in Bedford, New York. When our needs changed, we engaged her again four years ago to design a smaller home in Pound Ridge. And three years ago, we built a house in Florida that, although not specifically designed by Carol, was very much inspired by the house she designed for us in Pound Ridge. So she designed two and inspired the third! Not only is she an extraordinary architect and project manager in whom my wife and I have total faith and confidence, but among professionals with whom we have worked--attorneys, accountants, landscape designers--she is by far the most creative, responsive, and responsible. We recommend her for any project and ,as we have done before, would be delighted to share our experiences with potential clients--including seeing her work.

We are nearly 95% complete on our first project with Carol Kurth Architecture (CKA) and it has truly been a pleasure working with Carol and her team. Some projects require more love and attention than others, and that is exactly what we have felt during our first experience building for CKA. Carol and her project architect Christine have displayed a true mastery of their craft as our first project together has unfolded. Information is passed seamlessly, details are thorough and the builder’s insight is at the forefront of each development made on the job. Additionally, Carol never misses a project meeting and makes it a point of visiting the jobsite as frequently as possible, monitoring the work for quality and to bend the ear of our trusted tradesmen for insight as the project develops. Her personal involvement and dedication to our client throughout the construction process has contributed greatly to ensuring we deliver the finished product that both she and our client expect. We look forward to the next one (and the one after that) as we work to continue and grow our new relationship with Carol and her team. We could not recommend Carol and her team more highly.

Carol and her team designed a weekend house for us from scratch, with a challenging site and an unusual aesthetic incorporating our interests in both soaring spaces and casual comfort. The result is spectacular, not just to us, but to everyone who has seen it. Truly beyond our dreams. Her firm is responsive, friendly, precise, and meticulous--not to mention the ability to understand and our own taste and vision and transofm it into something extraordinary to live in. Our gratitude is boundless and we would recommend Carol and her firm without hesitation..

As a designer at Leicht Kitchens, I have had the pleasure of working with Carol and her team on several projects. Each project has its own unique sensibility that Carol works hard to achieve, by creating well-tailored and thought-out designs, which offer her clients extremely functional spaces, while at the same time always keeping them design award-worthy! I would recommend Carol and her team to anyone looking for an fun and enjoyable design/build experience.

Carol and her well honed team offer the highest level of design and architectural services which covers the spectrum from a single room redo to new construction (starting with plans and permits) to complete renovations (nyc apartments and private homes). My experience covers that wide spectrum and I cannot say enough about the attention to detail, knowledge of products, materials and building codes as well as an aesthetic sensibility that that not only beautifies a space but does not lose sight of functionality. Carol's depth of experience is evident in the many photographed projects and numerous industry accolades and national awards she has received. Carol's body of work serves as a powerful testament to the effort and energy she expends uncompromisingly for each client. Her vision, once implemented, makes a powerful statement yet reflects a client's personality...and stands the test of time. Her office is incredibly well managed and there is a level of integrity and care that is maintained throughout the process...be it 3 months or 3 years. My most recent project was a NYC duplex renovation and interior design--it is breathtaking!

Commented: what is the stain color of the wood floors?The stain was a custom blend on Oak. You might want to try some samples of Minwax on your floor with your floor finishing company. We often mix two stains 50/50 to create custom blends. Good luck!
