Connie Raines was great to work with. She heard and understood what we were trying to do. She helped us transition from a larger home to a condominium and helped pick furniture, fabrics, and fixtures that fit our style and our home. She helped arrange pictures and furniture and accessories. She was respectful of our keeping certain furnishings and accessories because they had sentimental value and helped us find creative ways to use them. I would most definitely use her again!

It was a delight to work with CF Raines Interior Design. Connie not only helped us to bring beautiful pieces into our home, but also was able to find pieces that so distinctly matched our style and the flow of life in our house. We've been working with Connie for over a year now, gradually filling out our home. She quickly understood our visual and working style, and is great about feeding us a small number of quality options. She's worked across our bedroom, dining room, guest room, and patio, all of which look great!

Connie has worked with me on six different projects over the last nine years. The first was our lake house. Connie picked out the interior and exterior paint colors. She also gave good advice and counsel on other details that had already been set into motion before she came on board. A couple of years later she helped judge and decide on the barn red roof color on our boat house....not all reds are the same....subtle, but dramatic differences. It makes me happy every time I look at that beautiful retro boat house. The third project was picking out colors for a bathroom in our home. Maybe simple, but colors you wake up to every day and one of the last you see before you go to bed. The fourth and fifth projects were for commercial build outs of office space. There she worked with my tenants to coordinate carpet and paint color and bathroom tile and granite countertops. The latest project, and one where Connie helped completely, was our post hurricane restoration of our condominium in Florida. She did not have the benefit of an on-site visit, although many years ago she did stop by for dinner when several families converged on a school break. Connie chose....she did give me several good colors to pick....the paint colors. She also backed me up on my decision on a simple slick wall finish, when my Florida general contractor presented me different grades of textured wall finishes. We also went to tile houses on the west side of Atlanta....ones that supplied tile to the tile houses in Crystal River Florida. All good choices, but especially the floor tile that is subtle, but classy, and has a foot pleasing texture. And it is so helpful to have a designer that has an educated opinion on grout color, texture and spacing.....all choices that are critical to the finished project. Connie also helped coordinate the kitchen cabinet color and granite counter tops with the tile floor. And finally she helped with the replacement doors and the door and window trim. No disrespect to the general taste palette in Florida, but with Connie's (and a little help from her husband David) last minute, Saturday night consultation, we picked out a simple door and window trim design that could be built up using the limited resources of central Florida.....there is no Randall Bros. within 100 or more miles. And Connie backed me up on my decision to replace the six panel molded Masonite doors with salvaged wooden "one over one" doors with their original hardware. Just one of the many times that left the contractor scratching his head. And then a last minute decision to add chair rail that was simple, but less than conventional. Connie is a designer/decorator that respects your budget, good design principals, and your own personal taste. She was also good about knowing when to push for what you want, even if there is pushback from others on the project. She has a down to earth approach and takes on no "designer" airs. And when family and friend's eyes glaze over with my obsessions over details, Connie is always there to collaborate.

Connie was referred to me by a friend for whom she designed her screened porch and laundry room. I loved both, so hired Connie to help me with a refresh of my downstairs. This included paint, wood floors, some new pieces of furniture and area rugs. Connie's gift of color is phenomenal. There was one color that I was not too sure about, but it turned out looking rich and classy. She moved me from boring traditional to transitional by incorporating furniture will clean lines and getting me to cut back on the "what knots." Doing this allowed my special pieces to be seen more visibility and gave an impression of more space. AND, she broke my need to be matchy/matchy! I have more pattern in my great room than my whole house combined! And I love it! Connie was very responsive to all my questions. When she felt I might be uncomfortable with a suggestion, she would provide another that was more inline with my style. She kept the project on time and within the approved budget. I would whole heartedly recommend Connie to anyone who wants to refresh or update their home and know they will enjoy the final result.

When I moved from a three bedroom house to a two bedroom condo, Connie was just tremendous. She listened to my needs and worked with my furniture. She found the right colors for the walls (all of which needed painting) giving me choices but not overwhelming me with thousands. Same with counter tops and back splashes. My kitchen is beautiful, She found new bathroom cabinets at a great price.

Connie was great and helped us tremendously as we renovated a porch into a screened in porch. She was vigilant with the construction crew and asked penetrating questions to ensure that the job was done correctly. She saved me hours by searching for things on the web and thought about things, like wall sconces, which I never would have thought about. We were delighted when the porch was finished.

After renovating my house, I wanted a new look. Connie was recommended by a friend. She worked with what furniture I wanted to keep and added rugs, draperies, lamps and new living room furniture. Connie's greatest strengths are creativity, sourcing products and fabrics, scheduling and pricing.

My husband and I started working with Connie Raines more than a year ago to redecorate our living room. We wanted to create a pulled-together look while focusing on functionality that fit our lifestyle with a toddler. Connie really listened and understood the balance between form and function that we wanted to achieve. We love the end result and appreciate that Connie quickly helped us narrow down furniture, fabrics, rugs, etc and found ways to keep us on budget while adding creative and beautiful accents to our home. In addition to her significant talent and experience, Connie is warm and delightful; a pleasure to work with. Her approach is low-pressure and professional. She guided but did not push us on our choices and consistently followed up and kept everything on track. The experience was so positive that we reengaged with Connie a few months ago to redecorate our master bedroom and again we are thrilled with thrilled with the process. I have worked with CF Raines Interior Design on several projects. Connie helped with layout, window treatments, paint colors and fabric selection in several rooms in my home. She researched various window treatment opportunities narrowing the selection to a manageable number. For my latest project, Connie designed a lighting plan for a renovated dining space. I like the flexibility I have with CF Interior Designs. Sometimes I just want advice, such as "what size rug should I get for this space?", so that I can do the shopping. Other times, I need Connie to do the footwork to collect fabric and tile samples. I also appreciate that she is sensitive to the cost of her suggestions.

Connie Raines, my decorator, and now my friend, because she is a delight to work with. She turned my house from an empty shell in to a lovely home! After years of frustration, I finally decided I needed help. I somehow couldn’t put things together out of fear and indecisiveness. Connie figured out what things she could use from my stock of inherited and thrift store items. Then she selected several pieces of furniture to work with them where gaps needed to be filled. This is where her sense of color, coordination and scale come in. She added to that by selecting pieces of art work, as well as framing some of my existing pieces. She also helped to choose fabric, size, and shape for pillows in my three bedrooms and the sofas in my home. My husband and I often sit and think of how she chose different pieces that we love so much, admitting that we could never have done it. Our appreciation of Connie's work and talent only grows as time passes and we continue to admire what she brought to our home.

Connie is knowledgable, has extensive resources, and is very pleasant to work with. She listens carefully, provides information in a timely manner, and works capably within budget parameters. As you would expect from a design professional, she provides expert advice and choices for furniture, fabrics, artwork and accessories. We enjoyed her company and never felt pushed into accepting her recommendations. She promptly followed up with vendors regarding deliveries and problems, and made sure we were happy with the products and installations. Her fees are reasonable and she provides a complete breakdown of dates, hours and fees charged. We highly recommend Connie!
