My wife and I recently contracted with Charleene’s House to help renovate a bonus room and convert it into a bar that leads out to our pool. We’ve done a number of renovations over the years with a variety of contractors and had mixed results / experiences; however, this renovation exceeded all our expectations. We were recommended to work with Charleene from a friend, and had closely followed her work on Instagram. The quality of work and craftsmanship of their carpenters is unmatched. They left no nail hole unfilled, no piece of molding unpainted, no small detail over looked, and the cherry on top was they finished ahead of schedule. Workers showed up when they said they would, left the work site clean and were always very respectful. Charleene’s son Jason was our project manager, and I would give his project oversight and communication a 10/10. The all-in pricing for the project felt very fair, and Charleene was respectful of our budgeting and always tried to come up with solutions that would fit the pricing parameters we’d laid out early on. As we told Charleene, we are so thrilled with how this project turned out that we’re already starting to dream up the next renovation to have them come help with. Pictures show the BEFORE and AFTER. Unfortunately we’re still waiting on a lot of furniture and decor, but will have to upload more photos once all that arrives to give the final feel.

We loved working with Charleene and her team on our new addition and patio. We were home improvement newbies and Charleene guided us in making smart choices that helped us keep the historic character of our home while introducing loads of light and modern touches. Both Charleene and Jason are attentive and kind and were quick to problem-solve and keep us on schedule even when weather-related challenges arose. We interviewed several builders and design / build firms before selecting Charleene to renovate our kitchen. When I met her I just felt like I could trust her. She made several suggestions early in the process to help keep us within our intended budget but still get the final product we desired. We had a few things come up during our project but all were handled promptly and in a way that made us feel like she cared about us and our project. This was our first renovation and we learned a ton and appreciate Charleene and her team being patient with us while we learned! Her team went above and beyond when we were down to the wire getting things finished before hosting Thanksgiving. Henser even fixed our table that was damaged moving it back into the space (our fault - not theirs)! We’re so happy with our finished kitchen. I found Charleene’s Houses on the Lutherville Timonium Facebook page, recommended by a member of the community. I met with five contractors before awarding the basement renovation to Charleene and her team. She prepared an amazing drawing complete with dimensions, lighting and furniture placement. She also prepared a very detailed budget I felt comfortable accepting. All of the craftsmen that worked on my job were extremely skillful and kind. The job ran a little long due to inspections being delayed in the county and it came in a little over budget but I think that is to be expected on a job of this magnitude. I will absolutely work with Charleene’s houses on future projects! Highly recommend!

Charleene and her team are wonderful! They recently transformed our first floor into a space our family absolutely loves. I was in need of a small kitchen renovation and had no idea where to start. I was looking for someone to handle the project from the design process all the way through the end. I could not have chosen a better company to handle this project. I met with Charleene and felt like she really asked the right questions to understand what we needed from our kitchen. Her team came up with a design that was absolutely beautiful! I truly cannot believe how much it changed the space. I highly recommend Charleene's Houses. They helped make my modest home in a high-end neighborhood look and feel like it belongs-- while sticking to my modest budget. My desire was to create a house that would look up-to-date (hopefully timeless...), and for the updates to be durable, functional, and able to be lived-in-- not a museum. Charleene and team renovated about 80% of a split-level house including 3 bathrooms, a new kitchen, an updated main bedroom and walk-in closet, and added a side-entry mudroom. Throughout the process Charleene and team were transparent on costs and timing, and communicated with me when I wanted to rethink a design or if something was not turning out according to plans. Her team guided me through selections-- helping me know where I could save on materials and still have a quality end-product, and also redirecting me when they knew that it would matter (i.e. mudroom flooring.) I truly felt cared-about and that they worked in my best interest the whole time. The project was complete in under 7 months and I felt informed and up to date on progress throughout the timeline. The results are stunning and I love walking in the door and feeling that we are HOME.

Charleene and team renovated our kitchen in 2014 and when we decided to do our primary bathroom we knew we wanted to work with her again. Charleene is the most responsive professional I’ve worked with, which in the construction industry is rare. She worked with us on the design through several iterations until we found the perfect layout. They did a phenomenal job bringing our vision to life. We never lived in our home before reno, so we weren’t sure if it was the right move, the right layout, and the best use of the space. Working with Charleen was a first on several levels. First, it was our first time to own a 100 yo old home. All our previous homes were new construction. Second it was our fist time to work with a female builder. Needless to say we had a lot of trepidation going in, but I had a good feeling after meeting with her and I spoke with several who had worked with her company-all giving positive reviews. Charleene and her team of experts made what was a journey into unknown territory, a fun and exciting experience. She and her team were knowledgeable, had great communication skills, were time sensitive, and were responsive to our needs, while always being cognizant of our budget. What I appreciated most was her attention to detail- expecting the highest quality work from her contractors. The old saying “it’s all in the details” certainly applies here. She turned our little historic bungalow into “the prettiest girl on the block”. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience with a wonderful result! Charleene and her team were amazing. I have worked with a number of contractors on different projects and this we easily my best experience. I look at and assess my experience based on three characteristics of anyone I am working with. Are they punctual? Are they prepared? Are they professional? Punctual: From the start of the project, Charleene was punctual. Our initial meeting was set and she and her team showed up on the dot. We discussed different ideas and plans. She took the information and processed it with realistic timelines. She laid out the phases of the project. When project reviews would be done. And, when funds would be drawn. Everything was very detailed which left no room for error. Upon the plan, timelines were hit, and they stayed on track for the project. In the end, she told us it would be 12 weeks and she and her team hit that timeline. Prepared: The team was very prepared throughout every interaction. When questions came up, we were given timely responses. They worked within our budget. They laid out all the costs on a spreadsheet. They had renderings done so we could see the vision and know we were all on the same page. They problem-solved when small challenges came up and made things work but thinking and executing. You could tell that she and her team have been doing this for a long time. The work they executed had a feeling of detail that is often amiss with other contractors. Professional: You expect professionalism. However, professionalism is highlighted by how people handle issues. During any big project, issues are bound to come up. But it is how those issues are handled that highlights the professionals you are working with. During our 12-week project, we had an issue that came up. This issue was regarding the stone cut on our kitchen island, and in particular the size and shape. We brought to her attention that what was installed was not what we had envisioned. Charleene handled the issue with appropriate concern and grace. She did not go back and forth about whose fault the issue was. She just fixed it. And by doing so, she turned what could have been a stressful and frustrating situation into a situation that really highlighted her professionalism. She did not pass blame between us, her, and/or her team. She assessed the issue, and she solved it! IMO, How people handle the unexpected is the best measurement of their professionalism. And Charleene nailed it! In the end, she replaced the stone and provided the cut that we wanted! In the end, my wife and I were and still are SUPER HAPPY with the result and SUPER HAPPY with the process! I have recommended Charleene to my in-laws, close friends, and anyone else who has asked about our beautiful new kitchen! I cannot recommend her more. We highly recommend hiring Charleene & team to remodel your home! We hired her to remodel the entire first floor of our 1980s home, including a major overhaul of our kitchen that included knocking down walls and moving appliances. We wanted an experienced professional who would get to know us and guide us through major decisions based on our family's lifestyle. Charleene, Anne, Jason, and Tristan understood our priorities as a busy family with two small children. Charleene helped us decide where our money would be best spent to bring us the most joy as a family. Anne spent time getting to know us and how we use our space. She was incredibly patient with us as we made our the final decisions on our design plan for the kitchen. Jason took time to explain how and why things were done, so we could understand how one decision would impact others. Tristan has a great eye and a lot of enthusiasm- we ended up selecting most of the options she proposed! They took last minute changes in stride. We now have a huge open kitchen with a large island where we congregate for meals, crafts, and homework. We use our dining space every night for dinner, instead of a few times a year. Our cabinets are drop dead gorgeous. We will definitely hire Charleene & team again for our basement and upstairs remodel!

Charleene’s Houses team is the best! They did an amazing job in our burned-out townhome… in a record time! A job that would have taken one year to complete, they made it happen in only 6 months. All this in the middle of a pandemic! Most importantly, Charlene was receptive of all our opinions and suggestions, and was able to adjust to our design “style” in a blink. Right off the bat, we were impressed with her ideas to reconfigure and create our dream space that we had never considered to be possible with the existing layout. Despite dealing with supply chain issues and all the impacts of COVID, Charleene and her team were able to keep the project on track. My husband and I bought our retirement home a month before Covid hit. We decided to keep our long term house until we could find a professional who could turn the 1951 minuscule master bath into a sleek contemporary space. We interviewed three professionals and Charleene's Houses was a stand out. From the start, when I asked to speak to precious clients, Charleene gave us a list of just bathroom customers and covered every price point. I'm impressed by that since other contractors only want big clients or share clients who did entirely different projects. Charleene and her team were safety focused, creative and meticulous. We were thrilled with how they saw potential in our tiny space and created a wow factor master bath for us. We can't say enough good things from the design process to selecting materials and proposing cabinet ideas to the final finishing touches. I know it was difficult for them since we weren't living in the house and available for minor questions on a daily basis but any time there was a communication glitch, Charleene immediately rectified it...and remember, this was while keeping her team safe each day. We are so happy with the final result. We have convenient extra storage, a contemporary design, great function all within the same footprint. Charleene's Houses has made the new-to-us house we bought into a new home that feels like us.

Charleene was a pleasure to work with right from the start. Very transparent with a detailed breakdown of the cost. She responded to calls, texts and emails right away throughout the project. In addition, her crew refinished all the flooring throughout the house, installed all new windows and doors, painted, and replaced the tile in the foyer and in front of the fireplace. Charlene and her team did a complex and comprehensive remodel of our 100 year old, 3 level townhome. The scope included, but not limited to: moving the kitchen, adding a powder room and mud room, remodeling 2 existing bathrooms, adding 2 walk-in closet spaces, moving laundry to second floor, cutting through a stone wall to add an interior entryway to the garage, replacing all of the wiring and most of plumbing. All of this was done during peak COVID, supply shortages, and with us living 3,000 miles away. Charlene was an excellent problem solver and communicator throughout the whole process. I would hire her again!

Charleene is more than a contractor — though she is certainly a wizard at juggling construction timelines we and costs — she is an artist. We were expecting a baby and had a tight timeline for renovating a kitchen and bathroom that desperately needed to be updated, and she treated our home and our priorities as her own. No detail was too small for her attention, from suggesting period appropriate fixtures to having her subcontractors work around our baby’s naps. And Charleene never comes to you with problems, she comes with solutions and options, and always communicates. More than that, she is the most ethical businesswoman I have ever dealt with: she’s transparent about costs, respects budgets, and doesn’t simply suggest the most expensive materials. Absolutely loved working with Charleene and Tristan! Charleene is incredibly talented and informed about the entire process and I felt comfortable with her team from the moment I talked to her people on the phone. Tristan has an amazing eye for style, and Charleene has the vision to tweak everything and make it absolutely perfect. Even when they did not necessarily agree with what I thought I wanted, they were understanding and open to my ideas which I appreciated! But in the end they were usually right :) I am incredibly satisfied with my entire first floor, my kitchen is now my favorite room in my home and I don't even like to cook. We recently completed a 2nd floor addition with Charleene's Houses and it was a great experience. We already had a floorplan in mind so we didn't need any design services, just structural plans. Before we began we received an expected cost breakdown upfront that was pretty accurate and we could see how materials we choose would affect our overall costs. Charleene and her crew were very responsive to every question and concern. And they started on time and finished on time. We were told that they would be working Monday - Friday with some occasional Saturdays and that's what happened. Charleene had a schedule set up and it was amazing to see how well they stuck to it, even with COVID and snow, so that each step happen one right after the other with either no or very little time waiting for the next crew. Charleene or her assistants came by every day to keep an eye on the job to make sure work was being done to their high standards. Having been through an addition with another company where people and the foreman didn't show up for days and days and we had to keep asking them to correct the same problems over and over, this was a refreshing thing to experience with Charleene's Houses. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We worked with Charleene and her team to do a complete renovation of a home we purchased during the COVID Pandemic. We found Charleene to be responsive, reliable, budget aware and thorough as she worked with us during a challenging time. Our project was not easy and we are very picky clients. From the first consultation, Charleene was up front in setting a realistic budget expectation for what we were envisioning in our complete bathroom remodel. Very happy with our new kitchen! We hired Charleene to remodel our kitchen as well as refinish all of the hardwoods throughout our three level home! Seemed overwhelming at the time but we're so happy we decided to do it all at once. Charleene was very communicative throughout the entire process. The project took longer than expected due to COVID but I was always confident we were going to finish with fabulous results. Charleene immediately knew the style I was going for and she helped build my dream kitchen!

Charleene and her team did a basement renovation for us - created a full bath from a half bath, a kitchen from an unfinished basement corner, a little laundry area, and new floors throughout all the living spaces. I had a relatively short timeline and wanted to keep the budget reasonable, and she came through on both counts. I did not use a designer, and instead communicated what I wanted through Charleene and her project managers. Charleene was great with telling me what was possible/impossible, or reasonable/crazy expensive, and after relatively minimal back and forth, we put together a plan I liked a lot. A few times small things were slightly off what I imagined, but we caught them early and Charleene fixed them without pushback (e.g. exact framing placement, location of lightswitches etc). I thought the electrician, painters, and plumber were all quite good, but would supervise tiling people more next time (there were some slight variations in tile color I thought could have been dealt with in a more aesthetically optimal way). The project managers were great and very good problem solvers. The overall finished basement is really wonderful. I am so so happy, and so impressed with the quality of the work, the fast time line (7-8 weeks despite Covid), the ability to stay within budget, the quick problem-solving that prevented project delays, and my overall positive experience. When it looked like construction may get shut down due to covid-19, Charleene even sent the plumber over that day to hook up my washer and dryer in the middle of the construction zone so that I wouldnt be stuck without laundry if the governor restricted the continuation of construction projects. I originally decided on Charleene based on her positive reputation within my/my husbands work community (a variety of drs in the same subspecialty), and we spoke to several people who had worked with her many times over the years to slowly improve their old homes. We plan to do the same, and hope to work with her again in a few years when we are ready for a major kitchen renovation upstairs. In addition to execution of the finished product (which was great), I think qualities that matter most in a contractor are character, good communication, and ability to stay on schedule/budget. Charleene exhibited all of those qualities, and I recommend her very highly.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new master bathroom! Charleene expertly (and very diplomatically) helped us balance our very different styles in creating a beautiful space that meets our needs. Charleen's Houses is the best company I have ever worked with. I've had a lot of contractors and tradespeople in and out over the years with many problems - not so with this contractor. Generally, I want honesty, timeliness, and quality - I rarely got one of these with others, but I got all 3 with Charleen's Houses. The company redid my bathrooms upstairs this winter, and put an egress fire escape into the basement so we could use it as a bedroom; a downstairs sunroom this spring; and they will do regrading and drainage outdoors this summer. The bathrooms look fantastic and Charleene, the owner, solved plumbing problems we have had for over 5 years that other companies said they fixed but didn't or couldn't figure out the root of the issue. For years, I have also wanted someone to do the egress fire escape and the sun room, but I never trusted the companies that came and did estimates. They gave me dodgy answers about my concerns, for example, and weren't upfront about costs. Charleene's Houses, on the other hand, always gave me fair and honest estimates, answered my questions (even when I had many!), and came and did the work correctly. For the sun room this involved extensive repair to water damage, putting in ventilation and insulation and raising the floor structure, redoing the walls, and installing a new floor. The room looks amazing and I know it was done correctly and now we can enjoy it. By the way, Charleene's Houses was recommended to me by a colleague at work, who had her house done by them, and she told me don't worry - they'll do it properly, knowing how much frustration I've had with my house, and she was right. If you want work done on your house completed properly, with honest answers and prices, so you don't have to worry about anything - then this is the contractor you should use.

43 days Charleene and her incredible team transformed our kitchen. She took the time to get to know my family and what kind of space we needed and helped me choose the perfect coastal white theme with gorgeous details (like painting the barn door track blue match the backsplash). She gave her honest opinion and responded to all calls and texts immediately. Her and her team were here every single week day (and even one Saturday! We will miss them!). She has high expectations for the work thats to be done and shes not satisfied until she knew we were happy. The subcontractors were respectful and cleaned up after the end of each work day. The transition into each step of the project was smooth and organized. The cleaning crew at the end of the job was the cherry on top of this delicious job well done! And she did it all within our budget that other contractors laughed at. We are beyond blessed that Charleene was recommended to us. Now what else can we remodel!!?

We hired Charleene to expand and renovate our master bathroom. She and her team were professional, reliable, and pleasant to work with. We’re truly happy with how the space turned out. To keep within our budget, we selected and ordered our own finishes, and Charleene provided feedback and guidance on our design choices and small decisions that make a space feel high-end (vanity dimensions/backsplash, tile layout, etc.). Charleene is extremely responsive by text and email and hands-on. She or someone from her team stopped by our home every day of the project to monitor progress and quality. All of the subcontractors were gracious and kept the job site extremely clean.

Charleene and her crew did an excellent job on our bathroom/master closet renovation. I found Charleene very easy to work with. She was always available when I needed to get a hold of her, even though she had multiple jobs going on at once. She helped me stick to a reasonable budget by finding beautiful materials at reasonable costs. I also really appreciated that her pricing is very transparent - I've worked with a number of contractors over the years, but none have been as transparent about how the money is being spent as Charleene is. They completed the job on time and on budget, and our new bathroom looks spectacular!

We worked with Charleene to redo our master bathroom. While we know that no one really sees a master bathroom, ours was orange. Very Orange, everything was orange. Charlene helped us create a beautiful open space that is relaxing and peaceful. She is very personable and sets expectations up front. She is honest and transparent with cost and helps to find the best prices and products. We opted for buying most of our fixtures ourselves but we ran every idea past Charlene for her input and guidance. After 25 years, our empty nest was worn out. Utterly overwhelmed, we put the project in Charleene’s capable hands. She and Joy helped us think through what would add value to our home without breaking the bank. Today, the entire first floor is refreshed and so much improved. We’re very happy with the outcome of our kitchen remodel with Charleene. Our project required demolition of an original 1963 kitchen, an extension into an existing sunroom, and new doorways to adjoining rooms. The new kitchen doubled in size and despite the scale and complexity, dust and dirt were contained to the construction zone for the duration of the project. She and her team are incredibly responsive, and she definitely guided us through some value-oriented decisions that left us with a beautiful kitchen. All of her subs were experienced, super friendly, and some of them – especially her trim/punchout guy (Henser) felt like a member of our family by the end of the project. As with any project there were some bumps in the road- many of these likely stemmed from the fact that we used another company for our design concept. In the end our project came in UNDER budget. Would definitely use her again for future projects- next time we will use her for both design and construction to make the process easier for everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Charleene and her team on our Master Bath...in fact we have just started working with them on our next undertaking, the Hall Bath! Our project started and finished in exactly the amount of time she told us and the entire team was very respectful of the impact the remodeling was having on the rest of our home. The entire area was enclosed in "House Protection" to minimize dust and dirt. All of the craftsman she uses are excellent in their field and were very friendly to work with. Collaborating together with Charleene, we were able to keep our project within our budget. The bathroom turned out beautifully and we have received many compliments. She definitely wants you to be satisfied with the end result and it shows!

We hired Charleene for a master bathroom renovation. She is very detail oriented and inspected the work regularly and had any issues corrected as needed. She's great with communication about the project and was easy to get by phone, email or text. The end result is absolutely stunning. Although the project took a little longer than planned due to unexpected findings behind the walls, it did come in under budget. I have no hesitation in recommending her work and will certainly hire her again for any future projects.

Charleene removed everything from our second floor. Walls, Floors and some of the ceiling. She moved a bathroom and built 2 new bedrooms. This included new windows and adding a second zone HVAC. Charleene and her crew did a fantastic job. Project came in on budget and on time. She obviously has many years of relevant experience and managed the project like the professional she is.

Charlene and her team were wonderful to work with. We purchased an older row home in Rogers Forge and Charlene helped us knock down a wall and re model the kitchen, refinish all the floors, move a staircase. She provided excellent design guidance and brought ideas to the table that no other contractor had. Working with Charleene and her team was a pleasure. My home is a sweet little craftsman cottage built in the 1920s with lovely architectural details. Charlene’s team matched trim, wall textures and other details so as to keep the look of the rest of the house. You would never know what was original and what was new, which was exactly what I wanted! She was attentive to detail and in constant communication with me. My husband and I are thrilled with our new kitchen! Charleene was great to work with throughout the entire renovation process. We immediately felt comfortable with Charleene during the initial meeting - she was professional yet casual, and very thorough. It was clear that Charleene had extensive experience in renovations and working with older houses (our house was built in 1930) which can be full of surprises once you "open things up". She was optimistic about being able to reclaim the original wood floors in our kitchen, which other Contractors wrote off as a lost cause when initially meeting with us. Charleene was right, and we absolutely love the look of the refinished original wood floors. The design process was collaborative, and we were able to tweak aspects of the design to suit our taste and provide the functionality we desired. Charleene's eye for design and function was incredibly helpful, especially when she suggested open shelving instead of cabinets along one side of the kitchen; something we had not ourselves considered but are so happy with the results. After design, the estimates provided were detailed, easy to understand, and in hindsight, spot on with the actual cost and timeline. During the demolition, Charleene and her team took special care to contain the dust yet leave us with the space needed to carry on during the messier phases of the project. Finally, as the kitchen began to materialize with the new layout, Charleene was attentive to every detail and very responsive to our questions or concerns. The "concerns" were few, since the work proceeded very smoothly. The crew that worked on the renovation were polite, respectful, and highly skilled in their trades, from the demo crew to the carpenters, electrician, plumber, counter installers, and other trade specialists. They did an awesome job reconstructing the custom woodwork that we have in the Dining Room adjacent to our Kitchen that had to be shifted during the project, all the way down the most minor detail. While using a "budget-friendly" cabinet supplier, Charleene was still able to customize to fit our specific vision for the space. As we neared completion of the project, we gave Charleene our "Hit List" of all the items we wanted to be addressed, which Charleene and her team knocked out in short order. This was a perfect finishing touch to the project. Overall we are extremely pleased with the results and the experience working with Charleene. We highly recommend Charleene's Houses to our friends and anyone who is looking into a Kitchen renovation.

Charleene and her team's work on our kitchen is outstanding. We did a major overhaul, including taking down walls, enlarging windows and moving the overall footprint of the kitchen. The workmanship is beautiful and the final product is better than we had envisioned. Our kitchen was finished ahead of schedule and under the proposed budget. We had her complete a huge renovation of our home - we added a master suite, reconfigured the whole first floor (including a new kitchen), reconfigured part of the second floor, finished the basement (including adding in a bathroom), and added on a new deck. Charleene took the time to get to know us, and what we need in our home. Then, between my vision for my home, and her experience, we worked together to create a home that my family and I absolutely love. While the renovation wasn't without some hurdles, Charleene's greatest strength is how she handles any arising difficulty or problem. Charleene confronts it head-on, and always follows through. She is always available when I have a question or a concern. AND - she finished the job earlier than expected.

Charleene and her team were amazing to work with! We needed to make room for an additional bedroom for our young family and a larger kitchen and we were reluctant to build out on the ground floor and take up any of the yard we love so much. When two of the larger builders in the area came to discuss our needs, one told us we could not do it for less than $300k and the other told us they didn’t see a solution without building out onto the ground floor. We did an addition above the garage and a sunroom behind the garage. With the scale of the project, there were some hiccups because of the original design/measurements (not by Charleene), but she handled them well and we were able to complete the project with a great result. We hired Charleene to renovate our kitchen / dining area. I had initially gotten estimates from two other contractors for more or less the same work. Charleene came in with the best price and had some better ideas on how to resituate the area. She came to the house several times and/or made herself readily available by phone during the design process. We made a couple of minor design changes, but overall we were extremely happy with her initial design. From start to finish, the renovation took 2 months. All of the workers / subcontractors on this project were great to deal with. What impressed me the most was the fact that whenever I was told someone would be here, they were here. From past experiences with other contractors and hearing horror stories from friends, I expected there to be times when they wouldn't show up. But true to her word, there was always someone here working as promised. We ran into a couple hiccups such as matching the new wood floor to the existing in the living room and a lighting and wiring issue. But all problems were ultimately resolved. Anytime we had any issues with anything, they were dealt with promptly and effectively. We are extremely happy with the overall project and would highly recommend Charleene to anyone looking to renovate. In fact, when we are ready to renovate our bathroom, we will be sure to contact her.

We did a major renovation of our first floor that included taking walls down, reconfiguring our kitchen and updating our lighting and flooring throughout the first floor. We also created a mudroom and reconfigured the downstairs layout. Charleene and Joy are great to work with and really want to exceed expectations. From the very beginning of project planning Charleene was extremely patient and helpful. What I loved best was that she listened carefully to our ideas and really wanted to help us accomplish them, within reason. Because the layout of the kitchen was awkward, she suggested we use her architect, Cindy, who was excellent, and worked with Charleene and us on several versions of the plan - for example, we tried different locations for the stove/hood and then decided on the current location. Charleene was on-time and very accommodating - her team started Demo while we were away on summer vacation, so we didn't have to be in the house during the most dusty week. Her teams were efficient, highly skilled and very personable and friendly. We were amazed at Charleene's management - scheduling different worker-teams in/out on different days to keep things moving. We also really like the style of the cabinets (white shaker) we ordered through the company she works with, benefitted from her contacts at the appliance and tile stores, who all raved about the quality of her work. Our now almost-finished kitchen looks amazing, consistent with the original plans, but so much better in person. We love the choices we made, with Charleene's help and being a sounding board. Working with Charleene was a great experience. She is very responsive, honest, caring, and hardworking. We were nervous going into the process because neither my husband nor I had any direct or indirect experience with home renovations, and had only heard the horror stories from friends and coworkers. We had no horror stories! Charleene was definitely the right choice -- the detailed plan was laid out up front, which we greatly appreciated. We did have to debate changes along the way when some structural issues came up, but she was very upfront about all of it, and everything was discussed and signed and she stuck to the budget/plan throughout. As with every home renovation there were still some frustrating and stressful moments, but we would no doubt pick Charleene again for our job. We knocked out two walls, completely gutted and redid the kitchen, and closed off a hallway to create a master suite - including a brand new bathroom + plumbing. They stayed very close to the timeline (even with the major structural changes required), it turned out wonderfully, and we absolutely love it! The planning process with Joy (Charleene's designer) was absolutely fantastic. She is a wonder to work with and is the only person I have met that cares about details and perfection as much as I do. She did an great job at tweaking my thoughts and style preferences to get us to the most beautiful final product. I could not recommend her more highly.

Charleene did a wonderful job on a complete gut and renovation of my kitchen and dining room areas. I cannot recommend her enough! She exceeded my expectations for what could be done within my budget and worked with me to design the kitchen of my dreams by suggesting we remove a wall and switch the kitchen and dining room areas so they are more open to the rest of my house. I chose her based on her experience working in old Baltimore rowhomes, which we were extremely thankful for as she handled the surprises that popped up during the renovation. She is on site every day and great at keeping up communication so I know where the project stood and could get any questions I had answered. She was honest and up front about any possible additional costs and delays in the project when they arose, but still finished on time and within my budget. I loved the amount on input I got to make in my design, so the kitchen had the look I wanted without being overwhelmed by choices for cabinets, countertops and flooring. Her team was awesome to work with and made living through a major renovation as easy as possible by keeping the other areas of my house clean and accessible. I can't wait to update more of my house with Charleene and her team!

We redid our master bath and kitchen with Charleene. Took everything out as both rooms hadn’t been touched since our townhome was built in the 1980’s. We chose Charleene because she is always accessible for questions and comments about what is going on in your house. If any changes need to be made she discusses them fully, gives the different options which helps in making that decision. The best part about the whole project was that Charleene creates an “allowance” for the materials. You can choose to stay in that amount or go above (or even below!). Once the project is done, she will reconcile the project and you MAY even get some money back! We love Charleene and can’t reccoment her enough!

Everything about Charleene and her crew was fantastic. Easy to work with, very accommodating if anything were to come up and required a modification, very timely in getting things done and the craftsmanship was exceptional. I actually provided the plans and concept to Charleene and she made it a spot on reality. It turned out better then we could have hoped for .We came in under budget and finished before the projected date. Great experience with them renovating out kitchen.

Charleene is great to work with. The kitchen renovation is beautiful. She streamlined the process of making decisions on details, such as providing just a few reasonable options for neutral paint colors that would look nice with the other elements we already chose. She provides the right amount of guidance, letting us know a range of choices she would recommend, based on her experience and the nature of the space being renovated. Charleene renovated a bathroom for us earlier; the kitchen is the second project she has done for us.

Charleene and her team renovated our kitchen. She addressed all our concerns by changing the layout slightly and maximizing space. She stayed under budget which was extremely important to us. The final product is beautiful and so much more functional. We are very happy!!

Charleene was amazing to work with from start to finish! She provided us with gorgeous plans for our kitchen, master bathroom, and powder room renovations. We always felt that Charleene was honest and direct with us. She guaranteed that our renovations would be finished within 60 days (which we thought was impossible) and she finished under 60 days. Charleene’s crew was always respectful of our home and left each day without a trace of trash or mess. Charlene has remodeled our residence and rental property. Design and build. She gives you numbers up front, commits to timelines, and hits them. A real marriage saver is Charlene working with you via Houzz to identify styles that you like. Then when it comes time to make selections - tile patterns, flooring, vanities, etc...- she presents you 3-5 options within your price range and aligned with you style choices. Sanity preserved. In addition, for our rental I simply provided a budget, asked that it be done in an historic fashion because the city provides a tax credit, some additional guidelines in terms of making the basement a separate rental unit and an overall budget. I didn't need to do much else. Made life, much, much easier. And tenants have told me the house is beautiful.

Charleene was very friendly and is a professional contractor. She thoughtfully helped me with design chooses, which kept the projects on track. While there were mistakes made by the subcontracts (subfloor guys missing the nailing schedule of the joists and tile person scratching the new countertop) Charleene quickly and professional resolved these issues.

We are very pleased with Charleene's work. We hired her to completely gut and remodel our master bath. I am particular and knew exactly what materials and look I wanted. Undoubtedly we had a difficult project A 100 year old house with many nooks and crannies and old plumbing and electric. This house was not easily converted to a 2017 design. Charleene and Joy came up with a design that removed impractical walls to allow a much better use of space. The kitchen is both functional and beautiful. One of Charleene’s greatest attributes is that she is an excellent listener. She wants to make the final project something that the customer will love for years to come. She was able to create a kitchen that had the function of a modern kitchen but retained the old world charm that we desired. We also had a bathroom gutted and redone. Beautiful results for both projects. No major renovation is fun to live through, but Charleene took great pains to make it tolerable with minimal mess to other areas of the house. Her attention to detail and amenable personality make it easy for me to highly recommend her for projects of any size.

I bought my condo in Mt Vernon last year knowing that the kitchen would need renovation. As an artist, I already had a vision of what the space could become. I dislike cookie cutter Home depo renos that you see so much of these days. I wanted my space unique. I put together a “vision” board and then I researched contractors. I found Charleene’s Houses on Houzz and I admired her work right away. I also was impress with a woman owned business. Charleene was extremely lovely and professional to work with. We began our planning in the late fall, I specifically wanted it done in May when I had my vacation. Charleene’s subcontractors were very professional and understanding especially when it came to dealing with my 2 precocious dogs. She kept to the schedule and the budget and finished the project in 4 weeks. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. The powder room barn door solution is one of my favorite parts, as is the herringbone subway tile back space is a close second. I am thrilled and delighted with my unique and personal space. As with most construction projects there are always bumps in the road, Charleene took care of everything with is extremely professional, I didn’t have to worry about anything. Everyone who sees my new kitchen have remarked how wonderful it is. I have since given out many of her cards. I look forward to many years enjoying my new space.

Charleene and Joy were a literal joy to work with. With a small baby at home and both of us working full time, we wanted a company that would do the design and implementation so we would not have to visit shops every weekend trying to get everything needed for our bathroom. Joy came with several great designs and one was exactly what I wanted, but never would have thought of on my own. She mixed and matched finishes and textures that I did not know could go together and I was so excited about it. For each of the pieces needed, (i.e. vanity, faucets, flooring, etc.) she gave us several options to choose from, which made the whole process quick and easy. Charleene is very organized and detail-oriented. She kept the crews on a well-thought out schedule, and thought of things that we never would have imagined, even though they would likely be considered an afterthought by most other contractors, such as adding beadboard at the last minute because it would look nice. She wasn't trying to get in and out as fast as possible, and you could tell that they really cared about making sure every detail was perfect (even a matching toilet lever!) Plus, the whole job was completed much sooner than expected. Our bathroom is better than we could have ever asked for. We absolutely love it and can't wait to use Charleene again for the rest of our home!

We hired Charleene to do an addition for a new bathroom and mudroom, new siding on the outside of the house, a front portico, new windows, new heating/cooling system, and to refinish the floors through the entire house. The whole project, including securing a 203k loan took about a year. Let me begin and say that Charleene Houses is simply the BEST! I live in a unique custom home that was built in the 1980s. I needed a complete kitchen/living room and dining room renovation- changing from a closed space concept ( Popular in the 1980s) to an open concept. My home is very unique with characteristics that needed a true professional to appreciate. After meeting with Charleene and Joy (Her designer)and presented what they envision for the space, I knew I found the RIGHT TEAM! From start to finish, Charleene was on top of it and was present throughout the project! If there are any issues, Charleene was immediately available to address and fix the problem. What is refreshing is the fact that Charleene is very open , accessible and transparent. Also, if you have a idea that you want in your project, she will get it done for you. ( I wanted LEDs lighting on the staircase-Charleene got it done) Of note, the contract clearly states each break down of the price. She gave us several options to choose from in order to save on costs; yet, still keeping with the high standard that she demands. Finally, Charleene has a team that shows up ( Many contrators dont show up-see below) and does great work...The quality speaks for itself. For this project, I have interviewed 12 contractors/design teams. I was extremely careful and picky for this project because I wanted it done right the first time. The year prior, the main guest bathroom went under full renovation- that contractor and experience was the WORST! From not showing up to the job to actually not remodeling the bathroom to the best quality- tiles are uneven etc- It will need to be done over completely ( Charleene Houses will be doing this bathroom next year) You will not be disappointed with Charleene Houses! Give her call... Lastly, I wish her company was closer to where my parents live- they are looking to do a complete make over of their home- and Charleene Houses would be the best company to do it.

From the beginning at our initial meeting we knew that Charleene was the contractor for us. Extremely honest and realistic about what could be accomplished in the space and the budget. We hired Charleene's Houses for a full home renovation in Canton using a 203K home renovation loan. From the first consultation meeting, we were impressed with Charleene and her designer, Joy. They wanted to understand how we live, and what our collective priorities were in the renovation so they could address it all in a thoughtful renovation design of our home. The outcome is stunning and we are thrilled. From a process perspective, Charleene promised us it would be a 4-month long project and it was 4 months to the day. We had an eye on Charleene's Houses already and knew we wanted to use them for our potential project based on the other work we had seen. Our project included all new plumbing and electrical, HVAC, kitchen taken down to the studs and remodeled with wall removal, full remodel/redesign of two and half baths (including expanding the master bath)....and more. Her communication and experience really shined every step of the way and our house has turned out to be more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Their subcontractors were also extremely reliable and pleasant and neighbors commented on how they would work all day into the evenings and on weekends. Charleene and Joy were also really great with listening to our design ideas and offering suggestions that went with our ideas but made those ideas even better. We were not aware of how many details were involved with a project our size. They were able to narrow down selections and give us a few great choices that made the process much more efficient and less overwhelming. Thinking back on it we can't imagine not having their help picking all the products and finishes because there are just so many choices out there and our time was so limited. We have two very young children and right from the start we always knew they truly had all of our best interests at heart. They would often be thinking of our kids and how certain details in the renovation would benefit them. Overall, their advice, knowledge, creativity, resources, and excellent design ability really made this our dream family home that we will cherish for years to come!

Charleene did a great job with our bathroom. She took our description of our ideas, and made the whole design process much easier than expected, because she gave us a few good options for each component (floor tile, hardware, wall options, etc.). She narrowed things down and the finished product matches really well with the 1920s house. She really cares about getting details right. Excellent quality work, and done ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend working with Charleene’s Houses, LLC. My husband and I contracted Charleene’s Houses, LLC to remodel our 1920s tudor home in Homeland. We bought the house because we liked the outer appearance, yard and neighborhood. The interior of the house was a different story. Charleene and company helped us completely rework the interior to fit our needs. Our changes were extensive and included moving the kitchen from one side of the house to the other, adding a first floor bedroom and full ball, reworking the master bedroom to include a walk in closet and designing the master bathroom of our dreams in a space we never thought we could use. In total, we re-finished or remodeled an office, dining room, kitchen, living space, two bedrooms and three and half bathrooms. I loved the fact that we were in constant communication with Charleene. We met with her nearly weekly, especially during the first couple of months. I never felt like we were left wondering when something was going to be taken care of. Poor Charleene answered all her text messages and emails from us and in a timely fashion. We were hoping for the project to only take three months. It ended up taking four and half months. Charleene admittedly was pretty up-front with us stating our expectations were unrealistic. We had a bit of a hold up when one of the subcontractors had a health issue that delayed any further work but these types of issues just cannot be helped. We cannot say enough great stuff about her subcontractors as well. They were so courteous and helpful. They worked as hard and fast as they could to get our project complete. The only other snafu timing-wise was the unexpected delay with ordering tiles but again this could not be predicted or avoided. Our budget was well defined. Charleene was very on-point with subcontractor costs. It was rare that there was unexpected cost that was not covered. We did go way over with the cost of materials, especially with tiling. We blew that budget out and then some. I would highly recommend Charleene’s Houses, LLC. We were impressed the level of finishes we saw in her other projects. At the end of our project, there were so many other reasons to be impressed by her. She is easy to communicate with and we did not feel like she was avoiding us. Her and her subcontractors’ work ethic was really admirable. Very little about the project was unexpected. Lastly, I loved how she thought “outside” of the box and wanted to create something special in our home. We could not be happier with the final product!!

Charleene and Joy, her assistant, immediately understood my design aesthetic when they visited during initial consultations. As this is my first home and my first renovation, I relied on Charleene's expertise to guide me through the processes. Every single thing went smoothly, far surpassing my expectations. We remained in constant contact; she kept me abreast of every move and consideration. Charleene understood and shared my vision and implemented it with fantastic results. At two points, I changed my mind about the initial plan including investing more in my kitchen and opening a wall. Each were excellent ideas that improved my project. So many friends and family were skeptical that I would move back in on the date we contracted based on their negative experiences with contractors. They never worked with a businesswoman like Charleene. It was a pleasure to work with her. At the outset of our business relationship, I was impressed by her great expertise, common sense, and deep experience in working with rowhouses in Baltimore City. My place, with few right angles and odd floor plan, may have been challenging for her, but she never even mentioned troubles. I never knew it to be too difficult for her subcontractors. Importantly, Charleene understood my emotional attachment to the home that has been in my family for three generations. She respected my opinion and wishes. She listened to my desires and helped me to realize my dream. My new place is simply gorgeous. Every single detail is as I hoped or imagined. She even improved my good ideas, taking them to another level of excellence. I renovated the first two floors of my three story rowhouse. I will definitely hire Charleene to complete my third floor when I figure out fully what I want to do up there. On the first floor, I had several interior walls removed; floors sanded, stained, and refinished; a powder room installed; and a total kitchen renovation. The kitchen includes all new appliances, lovely quartz counter, tiled backsplashes, and custom cabinets. In every room, Charleene's team removed drop ceilings and ancient paneling, replacing with drywall. She redid the original oddly configured staircase, installed stackable washer dryer, redid the second floor bathroom, and made over an office into a suitable proper bedroom with a new closet. The subcontractor were expert, polite, and unobtrusive when I visited the site. It is marvelous. Hire her.

Charleene helped us to renovate the master bathroom in our 1960's dutch colonial. I truly enjoyed working with Charleene and her assistant Joy and believe they did excellent work. They provided me with a few different layout options and really allowed me to take the lead in the design and helped me to refine and create my vision for the space. Charlene was very mindful of our budget and helped come up with solutions to get it as close as possible to our desired number. I felt like the communication throughout the process was amazing and any problems that occurred were handled promptly. I am already trying to save up in hopes of working with Charleene again for a kitchen renovation.

Extremely pleased with the recreation of this two story condo space! Charleene's work is 5 stars in professionalism, creativity, work quality and ability to meet deadlines. The most outstanding part of the experience though was her ability to listen and translate. I knew in my heart what I wanted, the feel, the atmosphere and the function of the finished space. She listened to me and created it. There were only a few unavoidable bumps and she handled them well. By happenstance, in years past I had seen several of her projects in Baltimore at Sunday open houses. I loved the spirit and quality of her work. It was really fortunate to be able to trust her to do what she does very well and relax into it.

I was excited about having Charleene do the remodeling of my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. She came out to evaluate the project and, in spite of several email reminders, never sent an estimate. I waited and waited but to no avail. I'm really disappointed.

I finally decided this past spring it was time to remodel the first floor of my 1920's carriage house. It was a very unique project because I was adding a third bedroom/bath attached to my garage with a glass wall separating the two. Knowing that it was going to be a difficult space and having a very specific look I was going for I knew an average contractor would not fit the bill. Once meeting with Charleene I knew right away that she was the person for the job. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and creative. Whenever I was stuck on one aspect of the project she would come up with great ideas. Her enthusiasm definitely stood out and made this project very fun. The quality, fit, and finish were outstanding. Couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome. Ended up very close to budget even though I changed/added a few things during the process. Will definitely use Charleene and her crew again when I'm ready to remodel the upstairs. (see The Garage in her Projects for photos)

Charleene's Houses did a major first floor renovation for us. She opened the kitchen and dining rooms and added significant storage to both rooms. In addition, she renovated a side porch and made it a very functional mudroom with laundry. UPDATE: We have had to redo much of the work that was done. Most significantly, we had to pay to move all laundry back down into the basement because the plumbing was not done properly and froze. We have had leaks in kitchen cabinets, and the reclaimed flooring used in the kitchen/family room has significant gaps/splinters.

When I began my home remodel, which was basically a complete top to bottom renovation. I didn't know where to start. Charleene and her team were awesome at driving the project forward and creating my dream home. They knew all the right questions to ask and delivered exactly what I wanted. I was extremely confident hiring her to do the work because of her extensive experience working in the area which would enable her to address any challenge that might come up. We had three bathrooms completely remodeled, carpet replaced, master closet remodeled, new paint through the whole house and some smaller projects (e.g. light fixture installed) completed. Charleene did a great job. She offered great suggestions for material (e.g. tile, fixtures) and provided guidance for the decisions where I needed help. She finished everything within the timelines agreed upon which rarely happens in this industry. She was very attentive to the details and was very responsive to my questions and changes needed. There were a few surprises that popped up and she handled them quickly to keep everything on track. For example, they discovered that my floor was not level and had to add reinforcement beams to resolve the issue. The only area of improvement is that she could provide upfront a list of decisions that need to be made along with dates so that I could better plan. Often times, I had to make decisions very quickly (same day) which was sometimes difficult while I was working.

We hired Charleene's Houses to replace our raised deck with a sunroom. We had contemplated this project for some time, but had been reluctant to undertake it, partly fearing the hassles we thought inherent in dealing with a contractor (delays, disputes over the plan'so execution, etc.). We finally moved ahead, based on a friend's very positive experience having Charleene rehab her entire house. We cannot say enough about our experience with Charleene: 1. Work began on time and was completed ahead of schedule 2. Planning, design, engineering, and permit work were carried out seamlessly 3. Work crew was amazing--arrived on time, worked continuously, and were courteous, clean, and quiet (and were terrific craftsman) 4. Charleene communicated to us on a regular basis and always reachable and responsive 5. Charleene's attention to detail was remarkable--from her selection of perfectly sized ceiling fan, to her installation of window moulding which exactly matched all of the other trim in our 60 year old house. This was a first rate experience which yielded a first rate outcome. The sunroom is well constructed and beautiful, and was achieved with no drama, no headaches. Charleene is the perfect contractor. If you are fortunate enough to have Charleene as your contractor, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Charleene treats every home as if it were her own. We recently bought a row home in Fells Point which was a total gut. Because we live in Miami, this was a challenging job and could have been disastrous. It was instead, a very pleasant experience. Charlene redid the kitchen, relocated a bathroom, created a new bathroom, installed central air and electric, sanded and repaired the floors and much more. In short she rebuilt the whole house without destroying the feel and integrity of the older home. Charleene is timely and competent as well as conscientious. She is able to translate ideas into reality. She is tireless in her search for the perfect materials and experienced in every facet of construction. Her crew is also very competent. I was ecstatic with her results and would welcome the opportunity to do another project with her. I cannot praise her enough for the fantastic job she did.

Charleene is wonderful to work with. We hired her to help us with a complete kitchen renovation after she redid a kitchen for a friend. She guided us through the entire renovation, helped us incorporate our ideas into a cohesive narrative, and was kind throughout the process. She is great with design as well as construction. We hired Charleene to design and remodel our basement in the Fall of 2015. The project included gutting the 70s style wood paneling that was down there and building us a modern multi-purpose space. We are very pleased with the results. Charleene listened to our ideas at our initial meeting and really understood what we wanted. The completed basement now includes a full-sized bedroom, full spa-like bath, a laundry closet, and large familyroom/playroom. Our favorite feature is the custom-made sliding barndoor that allows us to maximize our natural lighting during the day (something that is hard to do in a basement). Charleene was pleasant to work with. We had a very hard deadline (our baby's due date) that she always stayed conscious of. She even put extra people on our project when I started having pre-term contractions just to make sure things would be ready for baby. We would definitely use Charleene and her crew again in the future.

We hired Charleene to do a complete gut and remodel of our kitchen after meeting with several contractors. Charleene was responsive and organized and excited about our project. Charleene and her crew did a wonderful job on our kitchen and bathroom renovation. The kitchen renovation involved removing a wall separating the kitchen from the dining room, installing an eat-at bar and new cabinets. Our kitchen-dining room were completely transformed and we could not be happier with the result. We increased the size of the bathroom by pushing it out into one of the existing bedrooms and reformatting it into a Jack and Jill. The shower was moved and rebuilt to increase its size and a new double sink vanity was installed. The creative reworking of the bathroom has made our bedroom area 10 times more functional. Charleene is also a pleasure to work with. Besides doing top-notch work, she is also exremely responsive, personable and respectful. We highly recommend her.

Charleene's Houses LLC completed our kitchen and master bathroom renovation two weeks ahead of schedule even after we added additional services and items to the overall renovation. We decided right away that we needed the hardwoods refinished and other rooms and features enhanced. She was able to add the additional items into the overall project and still finish ahead of schedule. The quality of our renovation is fantastic. She was able to match the original woodworking and look and feel of the house. We were given multiple options in terms of finish along with the price of each option to ensure that we were meeting our budget goals. Fantastic job! Working with Charleene was awesome. She was able to transform our dated 1980's kitchen into an updated space that transform the entire house. The original layout was awkward and she was able to square off the room and give us the peninsula that I really wanted. She made the decisions easy and her crew was professional, courteous, and punctual. She stayed on budget- the only increases were from upgrades that I requested. This is the 3d project we have done with Charleen. I cannot truly capture the words to describe her patience, thoughtfulness, honesty and integrity in her work. I initially learned of Charleen through a friend on our block who remodeled their home. It was such a good job, I asked her to come look at one of my rental houses. After working on that small project together, we worked on my wife's home redoing the basement, adding HVAC, and a half bath. When we moved back into the area we purchased another, larger row home back in Baltimore specifically set on remodeling it with Charleen. She came to the prospective house with us and gave us an idea of what we could do with the space. We agreed and set to work. As usual, Charleene drew up her contract details and stays ON BUDGET unless the occasional unforseen happens which is typical in older homes. But only this time, we had to ask her to speed up the completion date by a month because I was leaving and my wife would be home alone with the baby and we needed a space in the basement for an au pair who was arriving earlier that the scheduled completion date. I know this was incredibly difficult and stressful on her. Charleen was overly gracious and did a wonderful job despite having to deal with an accelerated timeline. If you are considering a home remodel, you have to meet Charleen. There is no one I trust more than her. I can't thank you enough for all you've done for us (3 times over now).

Charleene recently designed and performed a full house demo and renovation for our 1,700 s.f. Federal Hill townhome. We were familiar with Charleene's work for the past 15+ years and did not bother to get bids from any other builder. Charleene is the master at design when it comes to maximizing space and light. She is a great listener and spends as much time as necessary in the design stage to make sure you are happy. She and her subs work very well together. Her design skills and knowledge of construction and code make her second to none. By being both designer and builder, she saved us significant time, money and aggrivation. Charleene is on site daily and makes herself available all the time. With so much experience she was able to guide us through the surprises behind the walls and elsewhere. She saved us money everywhere she could and really took care of everything. She and her staff ordered all fixtures and stored them for us. We changed some things along the way and that was no problem for her. Our only cost overruns resulted from upgrades we chose to make. We are thrilled with the finished product. This was actually my second go-round with a total home renovation and having been through the process twice, I can recommend Charleene’s Homes, LLC without hesitation or reservation. In this case, Charleene and Tammy designed and oversaw the transformation of a circa 1963 brick rancher with original electric, original plumbing—original everything. It’s hard to decide which to say was the best part of working with Charleene—her commitment and sincere desire for my biggest asset in life to be the home of my dreams—my forever home; Charleene’s impeccable sense of design; or, her mastery of construction management and oversite of a project, all of which exceeded my expectations. She is cost conscious, but knows when to recommend where and when a little extra might be in order. Charleene is very demanding and present on site a great deal of time overseeing the subcontractors. If it is not done right—it will be. I definitely felt that I was working with a partner throughout the whole process and my home is just wonderful—one in which I will enjoy the rest of my life. I am a real estate agent and have been one for 17 years. I have seen Charleen Doverspike's work through the years and have always admired her artist eye and attention to design. When it came time to renovate my 1940's townhome, she was the first and only contractor considered. Charleen was professional from beginning to end.
