We finally pulled the trigger to upgrade our outdoor space (like everyone else these days!). At the end of February 2021, I reached out to a few landscape design companies around Chicago; Ed from Cityscape was the first to respond. He took the time to understand our goal to create a space with more privacy, plenty of greenery and clever use of available space with a contemporary design elements. He co-developed a plan with me and after a few iterations had a solid proposal covering irrigation, gas & electric, plants, turf, fiberglass and a lot of aluminum and steel! This probably took longer than I had anticipated, but in hindsight it was likely also a good thing because there were plenty of details I hadn’t initially thought through. During the project, I enjoyed his easy-going and pragmatic work style; he checked in regularly to discuss key decisions and also had a great crew that really seemed to enjoy working with him. To me that’s important, because it will reflect in the quality and attention to detail of the final product; it takes a whole team to pull it together. By labor day the project was complete and we were able to enjoy our awesome outdoor space (including a lower level play area for the kids) into late summer. I would highly recommend Cityscape for your next outdoor project.

I would avoid this place at all costs. I wish I had read their reviews before spending thousands of dollars here. Bad product that they don't stand behind and horrible, horrible customer service - dismissive and rude! They'll do anything to sell you stuff but won't stand behind their product if anything goes wrong. No returns, no support. AVOID!! There are so many better garden centers and landscapers to do business with in Chicago

We hired Cityscape to design and install new landscaping at our single family home in the city. We worked with landscape designer James. From the outset, he was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and responsive. He worked within our budget and collaborated with our builder to design a beautiful garden with many features including a stone patio and pergola. All of his plant choices were appropriate for the climate & sun exposure. He also made sure to pick trees and plants that created seasonal beauty. We are very happy with our garden and would recommend Cityscape without reservation.

Beginning in June 2018, Ryan, the designer from Cityscape, transformed the appearance of our large and very visible historic condo building in downtown Oak Park, IL He, as well as his team, was professional and patient. It is a challenge to design a plan that meets the wishes of a relatively large condo association. We are all so pleased with his choice of plants and we are thrilled with the design and so is our community. I would highly recommend Cityscape Landscape.

We hired Cityscape to do all the landscaping on a new construction in Lincoln Park. I dealt with Ryan the entire time, and I can not say enough good words about this company. Amazing quality, punctual, all at a reasonable price. The recommendations are spot on, and Ryan never tries to upsell, jut listened and delivered a great project. Highly recommended!

Cityscape does an incredible job landscaping my home. They take care of flower boxes, deck containers, and green roof for us and all end up stunning every season. They are the best landscaper that I have ever used. I have been so impressed with the quality of the work and the visual elegance of their designs. They are the best.

I worked with Brian at Cityscape Landscape and we had a great experience. I am a design professional and work with lots of different design businesses (both interior and exterior) and I was very impressed with how considerate and professional both Brian and everyone at Cityscape was. His presence was known during our three day front patio demolition/installation throughout the entire project. He was on hand to answer questions, help me assess the final layout and placement of the patio and was very patient with me. We are so happy with our end result and will be using Cityscape again.

I have worked with Cityscape Landscape for tow years and am exceptionally pleased with their work. Overall very happy with their landscaping job, which for our property included new paved patios, a wood deck, synthetic lawn and plantings - a complete overhaul both in the front and back yards. They were able to incorporate the various elements we had asked for into our standard city lot, all within budget and in a short time frame. For us, the deciding factors were that they were a small, local company but still could handle all aspects of the project without us having to find subcontractors or pay a separate design fee. It was nice having Ryan as our single, go-to contact throughout - from initial design to installation and follow up on warranties. The process went smoothly, though the team worked almost too fast. Our understanding of the timeline was that we could provide feedback following each phase. But these were completed so quickly, maybe because of their tight schedules, there was not much opportunity to review or make adjustments to the layout after seeing it in person, not just on paper. In the end, we are happy with the finished product. Especially considering the many other estimates we were quoted, it was a good value. We would definitely recommend Cityscape for affordable and simple residential designs.
