About Us

CAA, established in 1980 in Greenwich CT, is a multi disciplined firm specializing in single and multi family housing and small commercial projects. Vincent Colangelo is an NCARB certified Architect, licensed in 40 of the United States. Our projects have included interiors, small house additions, single family homes ranging from 2500 sf up to 14000 sf in size. Using parametric software, CAA models every project in 3D form, giving the client an opportunity to visualize the design evolution in a step by step process. These preliminary designs are then discussed with the contractor(s) or construction manager(s) to solicit rough overall budget numbers thereby giving the client an opportunity to adjust the design accordingly. Subsequently, the design is converted to a bidding and permit document and final digital renderings of the exterior and interiors is done for the client.

Vince and team did a phenomenal job on our recent new build project! Vince draws from his experience as a past contractor to maximize cost efficiency, time, and to provide tons of input to aid tough decision making. The final product that the team came up with far surpassed our expectations, and it was a pleasure working with the team!

We've worked with Vince for about 10 or so years now. He's easy to get along with and has a ton of experience in the industry. He so relaxed, he has even often let me come in the office and sit with his architects to go over floor plans with them in detail! I'm decisive and I know I can trust Vince to translate my thoughts into architectural plans. We've not only worked with Vince on planning for developments but he has helped us with our own home. When we bought it, it had a very weird layout with no flow. One of the worst layouts I have seen actually. Vince helped us make sense of it to unleash its full potential and create a wonderful home built for entertaining which we do all the time. I think the greatest compliment to Vince is when people come over they always compliment how much they love our home and how nice and flexible the layout is. Vince really helped us achieve everything we were looking for when we took the project on. Thanks, Vince!

Vince is a gifted architect who designed a beautiful home for me. I bought an old ranch house with the intent to do a gut renovation and possible expansion of the footprint. Vince patiently listened to my ideas and objectives and talked through the various approaches before going off to develop plans. He came back with a stunning design that I never would have been able to visualize on my own—a two-story wonder with an open catwalk connecting a vaulted loft on one side of the upstairs level to a vast master suite on the other. Vince thoughtfully worked through refinements with me as construction proceeded. He was proactive, attentive and always had good ideas. I feel like I now live in a work of art, and his architectural design is fundamental to it all. Collaborating with Vince was a true pleasure, and I could not be more pleased with his work.

Vincent Colangelo is one of the best architects in Fairfield county that I have worked with in the past ten years. He has designed the majority of my residential developments. When you sit down with him you see the actual house, and he goes over it with you. His architectural talent is spectacular, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

It was a pleasure working with Vince. Extremely professional with great ideas. We completely gutted a house built in the 1920s and reconfigured the entire interior layout. No detail was overlooked and the project turned out even better than expected. Vince came in under budget and was always very responsive. I look forward to working with Vince again in the future.

Working with Colangelo Associates, one gets an immediate sense that there is a strong collaborative effort that is cordial and flexible. We've hired them to design the entire house from ground-up. Vince was great to work with. He was responsive to every call/email in a timely manner and remained patient and professional through countless revisions we asked of him. We would work with them again in a heartbeat.

We used Colangelo Associates to build a custom home and then used them again for a complete gut-rehab of another home. They are great. Very in tune with the customer's needs and add great value to the process. They come highly recommended.

We hired Vince to design our new build in Greenwich, CT in 2011. He walked us through the entire build process, listened to our needs and wants in our new home, and offered many recommendations and suggestions along the way. His design gets so much positive feedback from family and friends, and we still love our home!

Vince evaluated a house for us for the addition of a second story. Unfortunately, the deal fell through for other reasons. Vince refused to take any money and immediately returned our deposit in full. I have found honesty and integrity quite often to be the exception in construction, but with Vince it appears to be the rule.
