New custom home construction project. Took nine months longer than estimated. Builder was very defensive when red flags were raised. Punch list items have yet to be addressed four months after closing. Builder failed to provide the promised weekly updates. In many cases, weeks would go by with no activity with little or no communication from builder.

It has always been a delight to work with Kent and his team at Collinas Design. On all of our projects, he has displayed vast professional knowledge plus a wonderful creativity that enhanced our working together. Kent was able to offer project design advice on a new house under construction. He has also helped us out in our present home. Even the smaller projects that he has helped us with have been done in a timely manner with professional contractors. I would never hesitate to recommend Kent and Collinas to anyone.

Collinas Design and Construction is a phenomenal remodel/construction firm that has always been a pleasure to work with.....their attention to detail and exacting standards puts them a notch above the rest!

Loved the final outcome of our patio renovation in our new home...BUT their trades were very messy, they had to keep coming back to fix grout "misses" and "messes" and painting/staining problems. One of the tradesmen brought their children with them on several occasions and left them in the car in the heat of summer. One of our neighbors took the children from the car and brought them to our front door trying to find the parents. We told them of issues prior to them completing an area (ie: there is speaker wire right here, be sure to pull it out before putting up the new ceiling, but they didn't do it, causing them to come back and redo the ceiling) but they would go forward and then have to come back to fix it. They would always work a half day and typically show up from 3-7 when we wanted to be in our backyard. Love Kent, but he sold us the job and then never bothered to come back again or check in with us to see how the progress was going - as far as I know, he never even saw his final product. We had them quote a wine grotto - the price came back at double the actual cost we paid from a company who only does wine grottos. Now we can fill it for the same cost!!!! We had him quote a reno on our son's room and it was crazy pricey as well so we didn't proceed. Considering how it started out, we were disappointed with the service provided. The final product, after much stress, is beautiful but not worth it for the headache. To their defense, they did always listen to our complaints and fix whatever we didn't like or whatever was messed up.

Collinas Design and Construction is a fantastic builder.....they do top notch work and their customer service is second to none.

We contacted Kent to discuss a kitchen and utility remodel, including new appliances. He was quick to grasp our view, respected our budget, and had creative suggestions that enhanced our project. The job included plumbing rerouting. His orchestration of the work crews was amazing and the job was completed earlier than expected. Quality work, professional, and a pleasure to work with, we are very pleased, and will hire him for next home redo.

Collinas Design and Construction remodeled my kitchen. They built me a new island and an oven cabinet. They installed new counter tops, appliances, ceiling fans, and crown molding. They also installed a new backsplash and under counter lighting. I am very pleased with their work. They were conscientious and efficient. My kitchen is beautiful and I highly recommend them. I've received many compliments on my kitchen and the quality of work that was done.

the folks running Collinas are dependable, trustworthy, and conscientious. have used them to do major remodeling of two houses (floors, ceilings, cabinets, counter tops, room addition, roofing, etc), along with minor renovation work (outdoor deck, pavers, summer kitchen, electrical retro-fit, landscaping, etc). they are getting ready to begin construction of a house up in the Hill Country, for us. all-in-all, Collinas has the customer's best interest at heart.
