She captured well the right balance of providing expert advice while at the same time affirming our preferences. She was patient with our many changes and flexible throughout the whole process. We would highly recommend Coleen and Cowichan Woodwork. They just this week completed designing and installing our kitchen and we love it. Coleen did an amazing job listening to us and then making a unique design meeting all of our requests, even the whimsical odd requests such as to recreate an Quebecois antique hutch with rattail hinges. She had great suggestions and designed a really cool island with many very helpful design features.She then followed up is a extremely timely way to get it all ordered and miraculously made and installed on our island home without a single problem. The work was excellent by the cabinet makers and the installers working with Coleen were extremely competent and friendly. it was from start to finish an excellent experience working with Coleen and we would love to work with her again.

Coleen was such a valuable help in selecting and designing the cabinetry for my new build. She worked with me to create a design in a budget that I was comfortable with and made numerous, helpful recommendations that I never would have thought of. Aside from being such an awesome professional resource, she was also very patient and friendly to work with. I highly recommend her! The installation crew did a fantastic job with such attention to detail and ensuring that everything fit perfectly. They really made it clear that their goal was to provide a top notch product. We just completed a new build and it was such a pleasure to work with Coleen and Cowichan Woodwork. They did the cabinetry for our kitchen, bathrooms, mud room and a built in for the living room. My contractor recommended Coleen Walters at CW to work with me to design kitchen and bath cabinets for my new house. She helped me match my budget to materials and met that budget exactly! I used some of her suggestions (instead of what I first had in mind) and was extremely happy I'd done so; the final product looks amazing. She tactfully gave us ideas and direction, was up front eith costs and options, and ensured that the most minute of details were covered. My husband and I worked with Coleen and the team from Cowichan Woodwork for our kitchen, laundry/mudroom, bathroom vanities and a bespoke front entrance built-in closet for our new house. It's a process to create so many custom pieces for a home and Coleen (our designer) went over the details with us in minute detail to make sure that we got the look that we were looking for.
