Windy Hill Associates

10 + years later I still look at my house and don't get it. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I live in this mistake. Seriously think twice about what you want, and talk to many other architects. Perhaps onea with vision.

We decided we wanted to purchase a house to renovate for energy-efficiency as well as aesthetics and "livability." David worked with us every step of the way - from looking at the house with us before we purchased it, to listening and understanding our needs and wants, to drawing up plans, connecting us with a great builder and vendors, and making sure we stayed on track. Even though our "new" house is 1000 sq feet smaller than our previous house, it lives large and works well for our busy family. In addition to being very comfortable year-round, we reduced our heating/cooling costs by about 80%. We are immensely happy with our home and highly recommend Windy Hill Associates.

My wife and I used David Ely at Windy Hill for a complicated Kitchen Renovation which included re-arranging some roof-lines and more. He has an excellent process he sticks to throughout from concept to design and construction document phases. He even interviewed potential building contractors with us to help us choose one. He was also very responsive during the project if there were any details the contractor needed clarification on, of which there were very few.

My wife and I worked with Windy Hill Associates to design and build our home. They helped us understand the full process and provided us with invaluable feedback throughout. They fostered a team atmosphere and identified the best professionals in the area to help us realize our vision of a complete home. David and Ellen helped us make decisions on everything from colors and surfaces to layout and appliances. They shepherded us through the construction phase with well thought out feedback and solutions when things were most hectic to keep the project moving forward and within budget. They helped us design a home that has kept up with our lives for the last 16 years. I strongly recommend Windy Hill Associates. I would work with them again, but our house is perfect the way it is.
