About Us

The company name “Designed with Grace & Joy,” is not just a tribute to my two precious daughters -- Kaylee Grace and Izabel Joy -- it’s a testament to how I will work to help you create a beautiful space of your own! Whether you’re simply wanting to give your current home a little “facelift” or getting ready to list it and needing the most effective return on investment ideas, Designed with Grace & Joy will use the art of design. color theory and decorating techniques (always with function in mind) to create an environment where a new or existing homeowner can truly feel “home.” Operating since 2016, we take pride in equipping you with everything you need to fulfill your design goals, always with budget in mind. In addition, our unique pricing tier completely takes the intimidation out of hiring a designer! I am a Certified Interior Decorator, certified in Home Staging and Redesign, a Certified Color Expert as well as a Certified Short-Term Rental Stylist, and a certified International Landscape Designer. Lindsey is AMAZING! We originally contacted her for a color consultation. She was so knowledgeable and we enjoyed working with her through that process, so we decided to hire her for interior design, and we are so thankful that we did. She listened to the feel we were wanting in our home and made it happen, from furniture, rugs and decor, to color schemes. She is attentive to detail, extremely knowledgeable (as I mentioned), organized, and reasonably priced. All around, she is honestly great to work with and you won't be disappointed hiring her.

It was such a pleasure working with Lindsey. She is a true professional, yet fun and super personable! She made a very stressful time enjoyable and stress-free. I loved taking her phone calls and emails because I knew she was two steps ahead of the project and was keeping me posted on the scheduling. I really can't recommend her enough! She was very effective and has amazing taste! Everything turned out better than we expected.

I hired Lindsey with Designed by Grace and Joy to update the paint color inside the home and help redecorate the dining room, kitchen, and family area. She is amazing and did such a phenomenal job with everything. She is so easy to work with and talk to and very responsive with any questions. I love love love the transformation of my home and would use her again for any future needs. She’s the best!

This was our first experience working with a designer and it could not have been better! We did a kitchen remodel with new countertops/backsplash, an island expansion, pendant lights and new appliances. Lindsey listened and helped us find colors/designs that fit our style and vision. She helped us every step of the way and we are thrilled with our new kitchen! She also helped us choose paint color for our interior walls and it made our whole house feel new! I highly recommend Lindsey for her professionalism, how easy she is to work with, and her expertise as a designer!

I had a wonderful experience with Lindsey, and I'm even more impressed by it because our entire consult was done virtually. She does a really great job listening/reading between the lines in order to identify what your style is, which is really hard to do when you don't even know what it is yourself. She is very responsive, professional, patient - and does a really good job of gently steering you elsewhere when something you thought might work from a sample just wouldn't work in your space. Conversely, she also recognizes when something a client might fall in love with is "workable" with her overall vision, and ensures that all the elements are so cohesive! She's definitely worth the investment and I'm soooo glad she graced my home with her expertise. I honestly cook and clean so much more cheerfully now just because i love how my kitchen looks!

Lindsey was wonderful in helping me transform my kids’ bathroom and my laundry room into refreshed, beautiful new spaces. The kids’ bathroom went from a very dated and ugly space to a tranquil haven. The laundry room is now a place I actually enjoy spending time in. Lindsey was extremely responsive and helpful with all her suggestions. Her team of contractors were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Lindsey and her design services!

We owe Lindsey a THANK YOU x a million!! She has brought so so so so much joy, genuine love, and function into our kitchen, the heart of our home, exactly what we had hoped for and dreamed of for our family when we bought the house. We came to Lindsey with a unique request - take the kitchen in the home we had just moved in to, and expand it, without tearing down the currently existing portion. The galley kitchen was flanked on both sides by eating areas- one a breakfast nook, and the other a larger dining room with room to spare (the kitchen previously ended at the refrigerator). She had a vision and absolutely transformed the space (all through digital design!!), into a mini-entry way, a pantry, countertop seating, and more counter workspace and cabinets than we could have dreamed of. It truly feels so natural, like it was meant to be exactly this way - she really, really, really nailed it. This actually doubled the size of our kitchen and made it possible for us to all be in there together, just as we envisioned. Above all, Lindsey was an absolute pleasure to work with - her enthusiasm and patience are truly remarkable.

I have worked with Lindsay on several projects around my home. I first met her when I needed a little advice on which paint color to choose (who knew there were so many shades of white and gray). I was so overwhelmed and she immediately put me at ease. After our first project went so well, she has helped me with other bigger projects. She is responsive and very easy to work with. I appreciate that she respects my budget can help source things of all budgets and styles. She knows exactly how to pull together my vision. Highly recommend!

Lindsey has become the go to person for our family, whether that be design help needed for our primary home or for our Airbnb cabin in Big Bear Lake. We first used Lindsey for helping with exterior paint selection for our primary home, and most recently, had her help with the interior design of the Airbnb cabin we recently purchased. Lindsey’s responsiveness, and her ability to make quick recommendations has been the highlight of our experience. We love that she is able to help with every aspect, from picking paint colors to sourcing out materials such as flooring, kitchen countertop, furniture, and styling details that is needed to make our Airbnb cabin. With her brilliant décor ideas, we were able to get our Airbnb listing sold out during all major holidays in 1 week from going live. Her design eye really makes the jaw drop moments come to life. She was conscious of our goals and budget needs and would always provide a variety of choices and recommendations.

If you’re looking for some inspiration for your home design look no further. Lindsey is the best there is! From our initial consultation Lindsey has blown me away with her design ideas and her ability to see these concepts through to completion. For me, she took the intimidation factor out of high design and made the process fun! She is an astute listener who takes your ideas, concerns, and dreams and turns them into beautiful and functional reality! Always communicative, she has kept my projects within a very reasonable timeframe and she has stayed on budget. I made the decision to work with a couple of her recommended vendors. They did not disappoint! All of them are extremely professional and talented. I plan on consulting with Lindsey for all of my future home projects. So far she has transformed my kitchen, living room, laundry room, and master bedroom into magazine worthy spaces. Anyone who sees her work immediately wants her contact information! I’ll add some pics of Lindsey’s work soon…

Lindsay is amazing. She listens, understands your needs, works within your budget and can pull everything together for you better than you ever thought it could be. She helped us with the things she thought we could handle and referred (and helped manage) really fantastic contractors that you can tell she's cultivated strong relationships and exceptional vetting over the years. She was a true joy to work with and the value of what she brings to the table whether large or small project is priceless. In addition to that she is a good human, warm, kind, caring and takes great pride in her work and having happy customers. Wouldn't have had the bathrooms we do without her help and plan to continue to utilize her services for our other projects as well!

Hiring Designed With Grace & Joy was one of the best decisions I've made in 2020. I thought I was pretty good with interior design, that is until Lindsey came along! That girl KNOWS design. The project was to remodel my very small powder room. I initially just wanted her help with a few minor things but I loved all of her ideas and suggestions so much that I let her have control and haven't regretted it since. She made sure to run everything by me first and really took my concerns, likes/dislikes, and design style into consideration. She created multiple design boards for me making it sooo much easier to envision the finished space. I know I am not the easiest client to work with but she never made me feel that way. Lindsey was so patient with me and my never-ending questions and changes and always made me feel like I was her top priority (even though I knew she was booked solid). The project turned out beautifully and I can honestly say it is one of my favorite rooms in the house! I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to work with Lindsey and Designed With Grace & Joy! I am already thinking about the other spaces I want her to work her magic on!

Commented: How do you turn the shower on without getting hit with cold water?Hi Mara! Because of the stationary door, you would have to angle the showerhead away to avoid being sprayed. :)
