I agree with others that communication was a bit of an issue but ultimately a very nice custom door was installed. When I needed adjustments made to the hardware they followed up, and although the stain did not match the door frame as expected they offered to try to improve that.

If you like missed appointments and being ignored, then this is the company for you. We had a leaky patio door that was rotting our wood floors and DFW Door Repair seemed suited for the job. And, honestly, they might well be suited for the job, but we'd never know since Billy and team have displayed nothing but indifference and poor communication at pretty much every turn. First, they missed our scheduled appointment altogether. I took off work to accommodate him and had to call them when they didn't show up. Billy profusely apologized and I gave him the benefit of the doubt—these things happen. Eventually, they came out and pinpointed the door frame as the issue. $800 later, the door frame is replaced. Problem solved. Until the next heavy rain came and, lo and behold, the leak persisted. Darn it. You'd think that if someone failed to fix the issue for which they were hired, they'd work quickly to remedy it. The opposite has been the case. When I texted Billy, he cited a heavy holiday workload as a reason for not being able to take a look. That's fine. We all get busy. But he didn't even offer us a timeframe for when he'd be able to fix it. Again, (foolishly) I gave him the benefit of the doubt. So, I called him to get things moving and his receptionist assured he'd return my call within five minutes. He didn't. A day later, I texted him to see if he could at the very least let us know when he could help us. No response. In a last-ditch effort to calmly communicate with them, my wife left them a voicemail. You guessed it, no response. Finally, this morning, I texted him and called this entire process into question and asked him one simple thing: just respond to let us know whether or not this is something you're going to address. Surprise, surprise. No response. We all get busy. We all make mistakes. But in this day and age, there's no excuse for a lack of communication. Returning a phone call or responding to a text with a quick "yep" is base-level customer service; sadly something this company is incapable of providing.

DFW Door Repair was WONDERFUL! They were always so quick to respond to my text messages and answer my questions. When I went to design my door they gave me a piece of wood with a bunch of different stain samples on it to take home and decide which stain I would like. This was very helpful since it was the exact wood they were using to make my door. They installed it in a very timely manner and were very kind. Two of my neighbors LOVED my door. One ended up getting my exact some door. I will recommend anyone who is looking for a custom made door to come here!

I had a busted door jam and some rot and needed repair. I contacted DFW Door repair and was asked to send some photos of the door. Billy Cline responded stating they would recommend a new door as there was just too much damage and they wouldn't be comfortable patching a bigger problem. The price quoted for a new door was very competitive, but just a month prior my 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer and with the new year came new deductibles and I just couldn't do it. I informed DFW Door Repair of this and they agreed to fix my door jam only to save me some money. Upon arrival they let me know they are replacing entire my door and frame for the quoted fix only price and that I need to focus on getting my kid healthy and not home repairs. I was blown away from their generosity. I waited six months to type out any reviews, because I wanted to be honest about their work and not review on emotions. I am 100% happy with the work done, no leaks and the temps in that room are much more stable now the elements can't seep in. I'll be in the market for a new front door soon and I have zero doubt who I'll be using.

A beautiful front door built and installed at a fair price. It's hard to find companies who do business like this. Billy the owner was involved the entire process and insured the door was built to compliment our home. The crew that did the installation was courteous, professional, and tidy. We could not be happier and we are very proud of the quality door we now have showcasing our home.

DFW Door Repair installed our custom stained front door with custom glass and it looks beautiful. The stained frame was installed wonderfully and it included a new threshold. Billy even sent me a picture of the new door while it was in the staining process. They also installed the hardware which we had purchased for the door. Caulking was completed and the door was cleaned up. They even replaced a doorbell I had and caulked around it as well. I bought a bathroom door when we moved in to replace one with a cat door. The bathroom door did not exactly fit as expected, but these guys were able to get it installed fine. They cut and installed a cat door on a closet door at our request. They easily fixed 2 doors which were swinging shut on their own. I recommended these guys to a friend who has had doors installed and they were happy as well. These guys showed up on time, communicated well, were very friendly and respectful, and fulfilled what they said they would do. They provided us with an accurate quote up front and when the work was completed, they cleaned up the area. I highly recommend this company!

Billie was very quick to respond to an emergency and replace an odd-sized front door. However, he never followed up on concerns we had about the installation or even with quotes for other jobs we had asked about prior to our installation concerns. Maybe they are just overwhelmed or disorganized...but I would not use this company again.
