Saw a project in a magazine that I thought Kevin had designed. Was hoping that he would bring a high level of creativity to solve a certain set of design problems within my budget. I was very disappointed and ended up basically doing the layout and even switching things with the builder to make the spaces more functional and aesthetically pleasing. I had to track him down more than once to return my calls and emails. Not responsive enough on a timely basis.

DK was wonderful to work with on our new home project. They provided great insight and came up with fantastic ideas that greatly improved our project, not just in form, but especially in function where we were focused on this project. DK Architects developed home plans for me during late 2012 and early 2013. The home plans were for a joint home to be built for two families to share. I was impressed with how Kevin could listen to the four different voices and come up with plans that filled all of our needs. He tirelessly drew and redrew as we honed in our ideals and helped us to make sense of what we really wanted and needed. He helped us make true sense of what was possible and lead us to make great decisions regarding our options.

Kevin has been the lead architect on two of my projects. His scope has included design of structure, building details, cabinet design and review, window/door design and review, weekly meetings with notes, and general construction administration. He is excellent in meetings with owners , and is thorough and timely in his follow up. He is quick to come up with solutions for problems that come up in custom construction, and flexible in his solutions. I would recommend dk for any large or small project.

Kevin made the process of designing a home such a great experience. We were overwhelmed and didn't really know where to start but he guided us through the whole process. He listened to what we wanted and also gave us suggestions for new ways at looking at things. Since it is a vacation home and shared with another family there were different issues than a typical single-family home build. Kevin Heath of DK architects was the primary architect on building our house in Aspen. It was a challenging project given that the site was positioned on the side of the mountain. Kevin always had creative ideas and solutions to the issues that arrose. He was fun and easy to work with, he was available and worked well with our general contractor. He worked quickly and was on time. He followed through to make sure everything was done correctly to the end of the project. Kevin was highly professional and did a comprehensive and creative job of designing a total "gut" remodel of our condo. He was very responsive to our requests and suggestions, and was a joy to work with. He set up a bidding/selection process to help us select a contractor. He worked closely with our decorator and all the sub-contractors. We feel Kevin did a lot of work for us for a very reasonable fee. He was often on site to check the progress of the job. We are delighted with the finished project.

Kevin Heath at dk architects did the plans for our addition, which included a 3 car garage, master suite, exercise room and spare bedroom and bath. Kevin took the time to discuss with us the way we wanted to use each space. Throughout the planning/design process he challenged us and discussed the pros and cons of different design ideas for the rooms. We also chose all the fixtures and finishes in this step. As a result our plans were very complete. All the contractors we interviewed were very impressed with the quality and completeness of the plan set. This also allowed the build phase to go much smoother. You (as a homeowner) are not always going to be on-site when a contractor or sub has a question about something-for us we just said 'What do the plans say!' We give dk architects our highest recommendation!
