Peter Murphy did such professional work reupholstering my two wing chairs and bench and seat cushions. We used him 20 years ago and he had all our info/yardage handy. His job from 2002 held up on the wing chairs. We just wanted a more contemporary look! He gave great advice on fabrics, which I bought myself separately. He responded promptly to emails and my job was completed in the timeframe he gave me. He was amazing and I would definitely use him again for my next project.

Even though I bought my blinds some time ago, Peter was able to recommend a company to clean them. Then had his men come down to re-hang them.

Peter Murphy is the nicest guy and runs a good business. He returns calls promptly, comes when he says he is coming, knows his products and his installer is Top Notch. I have done business with Dominic's Decorating for about thirty years, as have a number of my friends, who gave me the recommendation. I have had dining room chairs recovered, furniture reupholstered, draperies made and hung with new hardware, and most recently, ordered some Hunter Douglas blinds. Peter is steady, even-headed, and thoughtful. He provides a valuable service here in Fairfield County. I've never felt like he's trying to up-sale me. I've seen his work in my friend Helen's house, where he installed custom Hunter Douglas blinds with an electronic remote control, and reupholstered all the furniture in her family room. When he was done, it looked like a new house, and my friend was delighted!

If you care what your final reupholstered product looks like, then Dominick’s is the right place for you! The plaids will match, the stripes will all go in the right direction, the cording will fit and the innards and cushions will be completely refurbished. It is workmanship of the highest quality, and I am not a first time customer. The fact that I keep returning is in itself a high recommendation!

I had Dominic help me with new shade and valence installations in my bedroom and studio/office when I moved into a new home. Suggestions about product choices were great and I am happy with results. Recently when I needed new shades in the LR/DR/Kitchen Peter and his team were knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them.

We have worked with Peter over the last 10 +years and have always been very happy with the results. Whether it's drapes or upholstery Peter has been very creative and responsive in helping choose colors, fabrics,etc. His installation team has been with him for a while and that says a lot about his work ethic and supportive style. Most recently we did some significant renovation of the dining room, living room, and kitchen. The living room drapes were done by Dominics years ago and did not need to change. The dining room, however, was a completely new style and colors so Peter helped us to determine drape fabric and chair upholstery. We have the new drapes and awaiting the upholstered chairs which are due soon. Over the years we have always been impressed with his responsiveness---he has always met or beat the schedules for completion and installation.
