Eastern Village, Scarborough Maine

My husband and I hired KDA to build our home in Eastern Village. We could not be happier with the craftsmanship and the quality of materials that were used. We had a lot of say in the design and could not be happier with the results! Our home is custom to us and absolutely gorgeous. The neighborhood is fantastic and we consider ourselves lucky to be here, in a wonderful and welcoming community.

Simply, we were blown away after visiting Eastern Village in Scarborough. We lived in the area and had some long term plans to downsize and remain in the area. What we found there called out to us: "Now, Now, Now." We found a wonderful small village of beautifully built homes, green spaces, and a development plan that was aiming to maximize the spirit of community, in all its good aspects. There were narrow streets, front porches, high quality custom homes..... and now, get this: all the homes have exterior plans that would have been found in Maine between 1870-1920!! Because we were living in an authentic 1820 home, this was a very appealing feature of Eastern Village.. We have been welcomed into this community, even before our home is finished (a 1915 styled Craftsman bungalow, by the way), by a group of people already living there: singles, families, retirees, newly marrieds....... a varied group interested in creating something special. It is supported, if I may use that term, by KDA Development, led by Kerry and Rhonda Anderson, who are meticulous in carrying out their vision. They have been exceptionally helpful and giving in our process of building our first new home. Oh, did I mention the incredible location in a quiet area, but near Portland, many natural features of Southern Maine, and sitting right next to the Eastern Trail? We are very excited to be a part of this wonderful new "village"....
