Eggersmann Design

We do not recommend Eggersmann. We were initially excited to work with them, based on their reputation for design and quality, and paid Eggersmann $20K to get started. Unfortunately, we feel that we have not received the expected value or results. Our experience with Evan Soltoff at the Dallas branch was challenging, as it seemed to us that prices and positions changed frequently, leading to confusion and unmet expectations on our end. If you work with them be warned to have a contracts lawyer review any agreements and make sure all details are spelled out before you sign them, expect issues if you decide to change the scope of the project, and expect that their prices may increase massively from their initial estimates - we saw 300%. Ultimately, we feel that our $20K investment did not yield the results or products we anticipated. We had high hopes, which makes this situation all the more disappointing. The long story: My wife engaged them in late 2021 for a condo renovation project. She asked for a quote for 5 rooms and, based on that budgetary estimate, agreed to to pay $20K which she understood was to be applied to a cabinet order. Unfortunately the project was delayed due to health & logistics issues. When we picked up the project this year we were told that the contract had expired. Evan stated the payment was a design retainer, applicable to cabinets only within a year, resulting in the loss of our $20K investment. After some discussion Evan said we could apply some of the deposit if we proceeded. That was not great, as we would lose part of the original payment if we proceeded with a smaller scope, but we thought the designer did good work and we decided to continue with a few rooms. We were surprised the new quotes for these rooms were significantly higher, approximately 300% more than the initial estimates. There were minimal changes from the original specs so it appeared that they were inflating the prices to more than account for any value they would apply from the original payment. It didn't make any sense to even do a few rooms at those costs. There also appeared to be several changes in the amount of our initial payment that could be applied to the project. Evan said they attributed the value across the number of rooms in the original proposal, although that division was not spelled out in the contract. Thus when we went to down scope the project further we saw the offered value of the credit also decrease substantially. At one point we finally thought they would honor $5K of the original payment for the work associated with one bathroom. We worked with Gabriela to get the cost of one simple cabinet down to $6K plus $3K of shipping and delivery. We were willing to swallow that, to get something out of all but just as we thought we were done Evan reduced the amount they'd honor to $3K. This experience was very disheartening for us.

After a through search of the luxury kitchen installation market we choose Eggersmann , in the first instance for their creativity and design in using our space so well. All went to plan and the date of the installation came - firstly the cabinetry was superb in design - smooth as silk - the installers were meticulous to perfection - arriving on time , neat in their work , professional in all aspects of the installation to a fine T. We had a delay with the delivery of our freezer and a panel which had a scratch had to be replaced - but in the scheme of things these days we were very lucky and now have a most amazingly ergonomic and beautiful kitchen. We both are quite creative and are extremely pleased with our beautiful kitchen - could not ask for better - and would highly recommend Joshua , one of their designers. Their whole team is great - and we wish Eggersmann all the best for their continued success.

NV Integration worked on an international project with Eggersmann in 2016. We collaborated on several pieces of high-end joinery which included hidden TVs. These pieces required precise technical drawings that Eggersmann produced, as the motors had to be concealed into the design during manufacture. Working with Gary and the team was a pleasure and nothing was too much trouble, both companies sent UK based staff to co-install which worked extremely well, and saw a swift successful completion. 10/10 wouldn't hesitate to recommend for their kitchens or joinery.
