We can certainly understand your frustration with this. Especially when it comes down to an initial miscommunication. There is a process in place when ordering. As a customer places an order, they are asked if they agree to the terms and services to proceed with the order. We were in contact via phone and email throughout the process, including directly after you had placed your order at the end of March. You received emails that included a detail invoice stating what products you ordered with links to our website with the product description. As well, you picked up the order from our warehouse the first week of April and signed off that it was the correct one, accepting the responsibility from that point. It was a week later, according to our records, that you realized it was the wrong product.
As we have stated in our communication with you, the product that you did order was made to order and it is clear in our terms and services which you initially accepted when you made the order, that products that are made to order are non-refundable and non-returnable. We did offer to waive 50% of the cost of your next order for the proper product that you wanted. Your response was this review. We are sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused you. Make no mistake, we will strive to improve and ensure that our sales people are exceedingly clear when recommending product to our clients. We do apologize again that you were unhappy and we’re sorry we could not come to an arrangement despite our efforts.
As for the product itself, it is a covered wrap for a 4x4 post. As you can see on the pictures of the site and in the description of the product, it is not as thick as our larger columns are, as the shaft is made from ½” PVC. We will certainly take your words into consideration and update the site in the necessary places to ensure that the measurements are clear. We do apologize again that you were unhappy and we’re sorry we could not come to an arrangement despite our efforts.
We have policies in place to ensure that we can provide the best and most efficient service and products - that includes having policies in place when it comes to inspection prior to accepting the material. When you received the material, you sign to agree to it. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused, however without a name or order number, it cannot be looked into further. We will continue to improve ourselves and our customer service and communication. Thank you.
Our customer service is constantly working to improve itself. Unfortunately, in regards to the shipping delays, there are still numerous shortages in this field alongside many orders and that in turn causes delays. This is a very real and very problematic issue with regard to manufacturing, product availability and lead times. We work hard to ensure that you do receive what you ordered, but that can take time and we warn about that on our site. I am sorry you are upset about that, though you did receive notice from our customer service team that they tried to speed it up for you. I believe you did mention you appreciated the effort they had made in that area.
As for the description, the piece I believe that you are complaining about is listed as a decorative piece in the name. While I can certainly understand the frustration and we will take your advice on updating the description, the term decorative also means ornamental. That generally means non-functional. As for the policy, the item was made to order. This means that it was made specifically as you ordered it. It cannot be returned according to our terms because of that. These terms can be found on our policy throughout our website and are agreed upon prior to checkout.
