About Us

Eric graduated from West Virginia University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. He began his professional career in South Florida designing high-end residential properties from South Beach to Key West and overseeing the construction of these projects. A native of Northeast Ohio, Eric returned to Cleveland in 1997 to work for the City of Cleveland’s Parks Department. Eric enjoyed designing park and recreation facilities and working as a project manager on these projects. Eric’s passion for Residential Landscape Architecture and Garden Design eventually led him into design/build work in 2006. Since then, Eric has worked for some of Cleveland’s premier Landscape Development Firms. Eric brings outstanding design and graphic skills along with a solid knowledge of plant material and construction methods. Eric has been providing professional design services for over 30 years and offers unique and creative design solutions to all of his projects.

I have worked with Eric for the past 3 years. His design services have helped me sell pergolas, patios, extensive gardens, and a multitude of other projects. Several in excess of $100,000 in value. Currently working on a swimming pool, and planting projects together. Eric is very easy to work with and adapts styles very well. Eric was great to work with. He is very professional and good at what he does. We love the beautifully designed landscaping he created. He was very knowledgeable about what kinds of plants are deer resistant as well as what would work well in different parts of our yard. He did a great job of picking things that are constantly booming from early spring through late fall so I always have color. We also have a enough evergreen varieties to have to yard look good during the winter months as well.

Eric did a full landscape and patio re-design plan for my home and did a great job. The design was very creative but also very flexible to our desires and budget. Not only was Eric's design excellent, but he also recommended a great landscape contractor to execute the plan and helped project manage the installation for me. I would definitely recommend Eric and Brubeck Design Studio and would definitely hire him again in the future.

As a Unilock representative, I have the opportunity to visit numerous projects on a weekly basis throughout the landscape season. I am continually amazed when I have the opportunity to work with Eric on some of his beautiful projects! Not only are his designs spectacular, he also has the ability to lead an experienced group of contractors that can complete any project, of any size. Whether designing a small Unilock walkway as part of a front yard renovation project or creating a master plan for a large outdoor living space that can be implemented over multiple phases, Eric and his experienced team are the best in the business!

Eric designed our dream outdoor space and we couldn’t be happier. He listened to what our goals were with our balcony/deck and patio and developed a botanical garden for us to enjoy. We have received tons of compliments on its design and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! He is extremely talented and great to work with.
