About Us

FlowerKittle Architects was founded in 2014 by David Flower and Paul Kittle. Our Surrey based studio designs buildings and spaces predominantly across the south of England with a handful of projects stretching further across the country. Professionalism and attention to detail underpins our approach to each project, and the practice prides itself on the design service it provides to its clients. The studio focuses on the process of design and how the inherent qualities of existing spaces and places can influence a designed response. Each project follows a fundamental approach to design, where an understanding of context and the needs of the users results in architecture that offers a specific design solution. We look to understand the exact relationship a person has with a space and work with our clients to develop a brief that is focused on their needs and aspirations. Our approach is holistic and multi-faceted with each project incorporating elements of sustainability, material expression and environmental design technology amongst others that all contribute and influence the design output. We work at all stages of a design project from the inception of an idea, through the construction stages to completion. Each client will have a different ambition for their project with varying levels of experience. The studio therefore responds to and guides our clients through the process in respect of these factors. We are always interested to hear about new projects and how our practice can assist you with your building project.
