PlaidFox was an amazing design studio to work with! I can't recommend them enough. Julia (the business director) and Kelly (our lead designer) were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are both super kind and thoughtful and really care that you end up happy with the design work. Kelly did such an incredible job pulling our ideas for our condo renovation together and making our home special in a way that is totally us but that we could never have imagined. Kelly was able to make our little condo feel much bigger, way more functional and oh so beautiful. We will for sure be working further with PlaidFox on other changes to our condo down the line.

We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience with Plaidfox as a whole and, in particular, our designer Maria! Her guidance and clear communication throughout made our total home renovation so much easier! I would highly recommend using a designer so that your project is cohesive and you take advantage of their experience with a variety of products and design ideas. Maria was able to offer solutions to aspects of our home that were dysfunctional or never ‘quite right’. We moved back home recently and I think of her daily as we enjoy every thoughtful, beautiful detail of our home. She is a gem!

I recently worked with Plaidfox Studio for a complete renovation (every square inch) of our 40 year old condo. Plaidfox's new floor plan blew me away. We had to knock down a few walls and move things around, but the new space was transformed into a modern, stunning space. Integrated storage was added, and yet everything looked larger, more spacious, and way more functional. It's even hard to tell we have kids, because Plaidfox designed little toddler-height storage cabinets the kids can put their toys away into. Once those are packed away the place looks totally "adult" again. Something I really need to highlight is Plaidfox's attention to amazing materials and clean lines. Every surface is a visual feast. There are matte surfaces, textured surfaces, organic woods, natural and synthetic tiles and stone work. Inspiring pops of colour in each room, yet it feels completely natural in the space. We sanded and re-stained the hardwood floor to a beautiful, buttery white oak finish, and I honestly can't stop appreciating it. Each bedroom has a slightly different pastel colour scheme that still fits in beautifully with the rest of the condo, so they don't look generic. The sconces and fixtures chosen by Plaidfox are beautiful, modern, and classy. They aren't just lights, but pieces of art themselves. They recommended we reupholster our couch to fit the new design and the fabric they chose is deliciously beautiful (blueberry velvet). I'm absolutely blown away by the finished home!

I could not be happier with my experience with Plaidfox. When it came time to building my dream home, I knew I needed a team that would really help my dream become a reality. Plaidfox did exactly that. They pushed my boundaries, and designed a modern masterpiece that I am in love with. They helped chose exterior finishes, the interior millwork, and all the tiles. The kitchen and bathrooms turned out amazing, and the living space looks like it belongs in a magazine. They paid attention to every little detail, they were excellent at problem solving, and most importantly they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough about head designer Ben’s creativity. He has a wealth of experience and is incredibly talented when it comes to design. From the architectural phase, through to the interior decorating, he had a clear vision. The whole team was extremely professional, and knowledgeable, which made for a wonderful experience overall. PlaidFox helped us decorate our 7,000 sq. Ft., modern and new home and we love the way it turned out!! We had recently completed construction on our new house but needed assistance in making it feel cozy and inviting. The PlaidFox team helped select the furniture and paint colours as well as lighting and decor and the transformation was very impressive. We have since recommended PlaidFox to our daughter who is currently building a new modern home and she has been very happy with them as well. Overall the team is very efficient and creative and took the time to understand what we were looking for. They managed to supersede our expectations and we would recommend them to anyone looking to transform a home through either renovation or decorating.

We are doing a pretty significant Reno. We had a consultation with Marjika and found her to be personable, professional and very knowledgeable. She provided recommendations on color, trim and flooring. All excellent suggestions. When we get to choosing furniture we will no doubt seek her guidance once again.

The Plaidfox team did an amazing job on our bathroom renovation. The project went much quicker than expected but the quality was outstanding. I really appreciated all the suggestion on product, color and hardware that made the bathroom so special and high quality. The friendly contractors were so respectful in our home and always on time. Working with the entire Plaidfox design team, and Abbott construction team has been an absolute pleasure. The Plaidfox team came up with an exceptionally creative design that was out of the box! They were able to incorporate my travels, and life experiences in a design that was personal but still so chic! The project went on to be published and to win Western Living Home of the Year 2019, so they clearly know what they're doing! The construction team, led by Josh, was on top of everything. Any unexpected twists and turns were handled with absolute professionalism. They were excellent at keeping me in the loop on progress throughout the project. In the end, the project was under budget and completed one week early. I couldn't ask for more!

I had the pleasure of working with the PlaidFox team for part of my home renovation (selecting: lighting, tile for my fireplace wall, kitchen tile, countertop material, choosing colours for my walls and island, finalizing the design of the fireplace wall) and my only regret was that I didn't hire them earlier. I've worked with many designers in the past and none of them really understood what I was looking for. It seemed they were designing for themselves, not for me. Even in my initial meeting with PlaidFox, I very quickly realized that they really understood my vibe. Finally! I came to them with some very specific ideas, which they listened to, and then they provided me with selections that included those ideas AND options that were outside my train of thought. Of course, I ended up liking their selections so much more than the ones I initially had in my head! I would also like to note that there were a few times I was in a pinch and needed information immediately as I had the contractors actually in my house looking for answers and direction. Happily, PlaidFox was there on the phone when I needed them, walking me through the work so the contractors could do their job properly. To demonstrate the level of service PlaidFox offers, after my renovation was complete, I realized that one of the fixtures I had purchased was damaged. They went out of their way to have the light replaced. As well, Jc actually walked out on the street to grab a sample from me from my car as I was driving by so I didn't have to park! Above and beyond! I will certainly be using them for my next renovation!

I would 100% recommend PlaidFox to anyone that is looking for a professional design team that is knowledgeable, competent and delivers an amazingly beautiful design to your home. From the get go, my husband and I met with the GM Dave, and two of their designers Kelly and Ben. Dave was very clear about the scope of work that would be provided for our project and I must say he is a man of his words. After our initial meeting, we had quite a few face to face meetings with Kelly and Ben and they were so fun to work with. Kelly is super down to earth and listens very carefully to what we are hoping to achieve and provides beautiful designs that is tailored to our personality and likings. Ben is super cool and fun to work with and his designs are always over the top and it just pops! Our home is nearing the finishing stages now and everything is looking absolutely stunning. From our flooring, tiles, bathroom designs, cabinetry colours to our exterior finishings; everything has fallen into place beautifully and we can not wait to walk into our dream home thanks to the PlaidFox team.

Plaidfox were engaged to perform a design/build for our new law office in downtown Vancouver. Their designers were excellent at listening to the message and image the firm wanted to convey, and taking into account the practical considerations, and translated this into a beautiful, functional design. We were on a very short timeline, and Plaidfox were able to project manage the build to have it ready to be occupied on time. Overall the team at Plaidfox were professional, pleasant to work with, and completed the project successfully. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an experienced design/build firm with a modern and youthful energy to create beautiful spaces.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Ben and Kelly. With only a brief conversation and walkthrough of my untouched 1960’s condo they understood my style and vision for the space – and immediately generated ideas to elevate them! But I never felt like they were pushing for their own style or vision, their great skill was delivering (at budget and on time) the absolute best version of what was floating in my mind. Throughout the process they brought ideas and curated selections which truly made the finished space a loved space. I would highly recommend Plaidfox to friends and family.

I hired the PlaidFox Studio team to help come up with design ideas and to decorate my house. From the first meeting with their designer, I was immediately put at ease as they understood my style and what I wanted right away. I have worked with PlaidFox Studio on a few different projects, both decorating our condo as well as designing our new home which is currently under construction. I am very selective about design, color, and detail when it comes to my home. After working with PlaidFox Studio, I have found them to care as much as I do about the end product being unique and tailored to my tastes. Ben and his talented team have true vision, and have created and implemented a unique design style for our stores that speaks to our brand messaging and is critical in creating the customer experience we aim to provide.
