7/11/2017 Previous review BUYERS BEWARE!!! I am not one to post reviews online as I believe everybody has rough times, but in this case I felt it was necessary to let the public know what kind of experience I had with these people.
My wife and I ordered custom furniture through "Furniture by Brad", a custom furniture business out of Nashville, TN. Brad is the owner and the ordering, payments and scheduling are done through his office manager, Misty. We ordered through them Nov, 2016 and were promised delivery in Jan, 2017. They both were very quick to respond to emails and take our money.
After that, there was very little communication on their part. They missed appointment times, completion dates...one after another. Of course when they did actually respond, it was one excuse after another.
After nearly 5 months, multiple attempts to contact them Brad finally delivered the furniture in April, 2017. The quality of the furniture was sub-par at best. He promised he would come back out and fix the issues, but that never happened. I personally feel like the only reason he came out to deliver the furniture was to get the final payment.
One of the items we ordered was a custom kitchen table and chairs. The table was not level so he put washers underneath to level it instead of fixing it the right way. Even then I had to put cardboard underneath the legs to keep the table from wobbling. There was also chipped wood, dings and in some spots sharp edges where you could cut yourself. There were blemishes on the top surface from where the stain wasn't done correctly as well.
For the chairs, none of them had leg pegs and were wobbly. I didn't notice this stuff initially because he had them saran wrapped at delivery. Also, two chairs actually cracked and fell through the bottom when I sat in them. I weigh 180 lbs folks...this shouldn't have happened considering it cost 4800 dollars for this.
After multiple attempts to contact them to come back out and fix the issues, Brad said he would come out. Of course, as expected, this never happened.....more delays, excuses and missed appointments. Eventually I simply asked for a refund and he could come pick up his furniture or better yet, I would bring to him to make it easier. After arguing with him on this and him stating "it was my opinion versus his" and "to get in line with the rest", he finally agreed and said he would issue me a refund by June 1, 2017. Again as expected, this day came and went.
After multiple phone calls he did finally answer and told me he was busy and would call me the next day, then hung up in my face. As you can expect, he never called the next day.
It's now June 14, 2017 and after multiple phone calls for which he nor Misty would answer, I sent an email asking if this refund was ever going to happen.
Well, I just got an email back from Brad stating he was cutting off all communication with me and to "take care". It appears my phone number is now blocked and goes straight to voicemail.
Is this how you treat all your customers? Apparently so.
These people are very good on the front-end with email communication and taking your money, then after a few months of excuses, delays, no-shows, etc, that is when you finally realize you've been duped.
I work with people every day and this is not how you do business. If you are thinking about ordering from these people, don't be fooled by their website, pictures or their quick communication on the front-end. This is just a facade to lure you in. Once they have your money your experience will change.
PLEASE do your research if you're thinking of doing business with them.
