We live in an old house with a number of challenging issues. We were at the point where we either had to sell, or decide to stay and renovate the deteriorating features. After viewing our neighbors’ whole-house renovation done by Gesang Inc., we decided to get some quotes. Elliot’s quote was by far the best and most detailed. I have to say, before we met with Elliot we were overwhelmed and doubtful that this work could even be possible, but he was able to answer all of our questions with knowledge, professionalism and past experience. The beauty and quality of the outcome exceeded our expectations! We created a new laundry room out of a small, underused bedroom, and renovated the adjacent bathroom. Michael and crew worked fast and efficiently in a tight and difficult space, solving problems along the way. The finished work is beautiful and we now have two fully functional and attractive spaces that we will enjoy for many years. Elliot also refinished and refurbished our antique exterior wood doors, giving us a new sense of pride every time we enter our home. We absolutely love it!

I contacted Gesang Remodeling for a major remodel of my kitchen. Consulting with Elliot Gesang was fabulous; he listened to what I wanted and gave wonderful advice. The work commenced as agreed and was completed timely. Michael Gesang and his crew were professional, pleasant and clearly experienced. My kitchen is absolutely beautiful and I am beyond thrilled with it. Michale told me to call with any issues that come up but it has been a month and everything is beautiful and works perfectly. In the future I will call with any projects I have-- and I am calling the person who recommended them and buying her lunch.

It’s been over 2 years since we hired Gesang Remodeling. The reason we chose this contractor is because he had many experts to help us with our selections for our remodel. These folks were all professional and helpful. His crew of contractors was another story entirely. His painters were the worst we’d ever seen. Not only did they do a terrible job, they shoved our plants and furniture together, damaging some of these items. They left their garbage and didn’t clean up at the end of the day. They were extremely disrespectful and we nearly fired them and should have. The contractor who laid the carpet did not stretch it properly and it’s rolled in every room to the point of tripping over the carpet. We are now selling our home and must get the carpet professionally stretched. I will say the contractors who laid our wood floors did an outstanding job as well as the tile company who put in our quartz countertops. Mr. Gesang was supposed to provide us a simple fireplace mantle free of charge for all the headache, but never did. When we complained about any workmanship, he basically dismissed our concerns. It’s taken a long time to write this review as we wanted time to consider our review. For the above reasons, we would not recommend this contractor unless he’s gotten professionals to do the job.

We hired Elliot and his crew to do a bathroom addition and bedroom remodel in our house. This was four years ago. The grout in our shower is now coming out and looks terrible as well as some of the tiles popping up. We have had two other contractors look at his work and they say it was done poorly and much of it not even done correctly . We called Elliot to have him come out and look at it; he refused to even come out and look at it and said it was not under warranty. The other contractors who looked at it said it was unprofessional of him to not even give us the courtesy of coming out to look at it . We now need another project done but we would never have Elliot do another job or recommend him!

Elliot, Michael and the rest of the team with Gesang Remodeling are exceptional. We did a large scale master bathroom remodel and the project turned out beautifully. Working with Elliot and Michael is a pleasure. They are focused on high quality work and pay attention to all of the details. He is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of construction and coordinated several large side projects that arose during our remodel. He even added his own personal touch by making a custom stair railing and matching mantel over our stone fireplace as well as shelves for our home bar. We had the best experience working with Elliot. He is a true professional from the bidding process all the way through to the finishing touch ups. We had him remodel our entire basement down to the studs, install new Hardwoods, all new doors, trim and railings upstairs along with some exterior siding work. Every detail was taken care of and completed to our liking. The crew was wonderful, always on time and worked hard. I found out about Gesang Inc through my realtor. I needed to have my kitchen and bath remodeled, so I asked Elliot to come out and bid it for me. He was extremely professional, very thorough, and left me with a very detailed bid. I got a bid from another company that had previously installed new windows in my house, and the salesman was very high pressure and wrote up the most vague quote you've ever seen, and wanted me to sign my money away right there. His crew did an excellent job making sure everything was prepped, and over the course of a little over 3 weeks, I saw my home transform into an amazing, upscale space. Elliot Gesang and his crew have helped us on several projects. We added a master bath and the work and craftsmanship was excellent. We got a lot of bang for our buck! Much less than we expected. Even our kids want to use our shower instead of theirs! We also added a new front entry which looks awesome! I get compliments on it all the time. Then we re-sided the entire home, painted and put up all new seamless gutters. His crew did an excellent job on this as well. Finally they are just finishing our new huge patio and cover, the patio is exposed aggregate and looks great and the new patio cover will give us needed shade during the summer, cover from the rain and safety from the snow (our old cover nearly collapsed under the weight of the snow last winter. All in all they have done fantastic work. Gesang Inc. is a small company but works with you on everything from concept, to design to finish! Their prices are reasonable, they are responsive in all matters concerning the project, the employees are polite and respectful, they clean up after themselves and are just good hard working people! I would absolutely recommend Gesang, Inc. to anybody in Pierce County.
