Ginny Burke-Decorative/Faux Painter/Artist

met Ginny several years ago when the owner of a retail store in St. Louis recommended her to do custom painting on some furniture. I was so happy with her work, that when I started my own business of Interior design, I started utilizing her talent on several of my projects. Ginny is a very talented Artisan, she has over 15 years of experience creating beautiful, unique paint techniques and finishes. She can transform the most ordinary space into an extraordinary piece of art. We cannot say enough about the wonderful job Ginny did on our cabinets. Our goal was to keep most of our cabinetry, make some functional additions, and give our kitchen an updated look and feel. From the early, barely a dream, design phase through installation of the doors, panels and hardware, Ginny expertly guided us in the process leaving us with a breathtaking remodel. Her sense for color and selection of crown molding was right on target as she kept our taste and preferences as her focus. Ginny was accommodating when other parts of the remodel strayed from the schedule. Having her assistant, her dad, in house for the install brought an extra level of enjoyment to the project. Ginny's faux finishing talents are extraordinary. I've seen her take a boring cabinet door and turn it into something that looks like it came from a chateau in Provence! She's got some serious paining skills as well. A harlequin pattern in a 2-story foyer is striking in and of itself...but when it's exactly to the right scale and close scrutiny reveals it's measured and laid out perfectly, it's gorgeous! Ginny's help extends beyond painting rooms, She's helped me by doing some treatments on mismatched picture frames, making them match and suggesting better locations for them and helped me re-arrange furniture and other accessories. Ginny's talents extend beyond faux-finishing and home painting. Her original murals are amazing! She designs and paints them with deliberation and care. From the simplest job to elaborate murals, there's no doubt she takes time and pride in everything she does.
