I cannot say enough about Catherine and her Grande Interiors Team. From the start to finish they were attentive, listened to our desires and their attention to detail during execution of our new home build was amazing. Their ability to collaborate with all the trades to keep the project on a tight timeline while exceeding our expectations was priceless. Cathy’s eye for bringing in color and interest to our living space as well as her knowledge of spatial relationships, mass and scale left us with a new home that is family friendly and allows us to entertain both casually and formally. This is the second project we did with the Grande Interiors Team and they will certainly be retained on the next one. Thank you for making our dream house a reality.

Catherine is the consummate professional. She has helped me build 4 homes (one home was out of the country) from plans, to construction materials, kitchens/baths, flooring, and all furniture design. Whenever I decided to veer from her advice, it would become the one item I always regretted doing. She is amazing, elegant, and designs with endless looks. She is simply the best!

Cathy was very hands-on throughout our entire process of designing and building our summer cottage in Branford. She worked closely with architect, contractor and us to help us decide what would work well in our small space. She was instrumental in designing and coordinating kitchen cabinets, she took the lead in coordinating all finishes, i.e., Lighting, switches, outlets, etc., with contractor and electricians. She was very thorough and detailed providing a punchlist for contractor and subs as she was our eyes on the project as we were in Florida throughout the building process. She went above and beyond many times assisting us, even lending us her microwave when ours had not arrived. We would highly recommend Cathy both as a professional and as a kind, congenial person.

Grande Interiors has helped with many spaces throughout our home. Cathy O'Brien created wonderful bedrooms for my children and teenager that really suited their needs and style. She helped us complete many of our windows and french doors with the right treatments. She and her team also designed our lower level space which now includes a fitness area, play area with a fun wood framed chalkboard wall, guest bed/bath and family movie room and cabinetry with sink, appliances and our very own popcorn/snack bar next to a custom inviting dining booth. We love all of it from the pillows, furniture and carpets. She listened closely to our vision and concerns and turned an empty space into a stunning first floor for our family and friends. Her attention to detail, expertise, effort, respect and kindness is rare and we're so happy we chose Grande Interiors to improve our home.

This fall, My husband and I wanted a professional to design 2 bathrooms out of 1 existing bathroom and 2 adjacent closets. Cathy O'Brien was able to do that as well as work with us on finding/suggesting all of the materials we needed to fill these rooms. She was extremely helpful, organized, knowledgeable and professional. She listened to our wants and budget. She often visited the remodeling site throughout the process. She also worked with all the contractors, etc. she gave us a notebook containing all of the specs, the budget and design. We would not have been able to do this without her.

We worked with Grande Interiors on the full renovation of a condo. Catherine O'Brian was not put off by the fact that we live overseas which could have made things quite complicated. Throughout the project she sent us large boards for each room of the house with suggestions for the layout and fabric samples for carpets, curtains, furniture etc. It was a brilliant idea because we could visualize what the space would look like. All we had to do was to let her know what we liked and what we didn't like. She was always very clear about cost and gave good advice on where we could save some money and where it was worth to spend a bit more. Once the work started we received weekly updates. Catherine always responded promptly to any query and we felt we always knew what was happening at every stage of the project. She clearly has a very good relationship with the people she works with, there were never any problems with timing and sequencing. Catherine made every effort to understand what we like and to get it right for us. She has an eye for detail which I really appreciate and the work was done to a very high standard.

I was referred to Cathy by an associate. After our first meeing I knew immediately that she had the team for the project. Her vision and attention to detail transformed an outdated house into a modernized beachy feeling which was my goal. He attention to deatil and overall vision was amazing and the execution was flawless. Walls were removed, windows installed, new floors, complete new kitchen and layout. The placement of the pool and surrounding area worked out perfect. The outdoor kitchen was placed perfectly to be close to the house, but in a spot where it did not interfere with guest flow. She even researched the prevailing winds for placement to minimize smoke from the BBQ bothering guests. The project was brought in on time, and more importantly on budget. Her team was professional, efficent, and respectful. I look forward to working with Cathy and her team on our next project.

I have worked with Catherine O'Brien at Grande Interiors on several projects within my home for many years. She makes sure every i is dotted and t is crossed and hires profession contractors and oversees every aspect of the job. She is engaged with the client, goes over everything, is creative but always keeps in mind the client's tastes and handles all details. I have worked with Grande Interiors on several projects. The first project was updating our condo while we spent the winter out of state. The renovation went smoothly and we were thrilled with the results when we returned. I was excited and confident with Catherine O'Brien's recommendations and her attention to detail. Cathy O'Brien is a creative genius! She transformed a 70's family room into a stunning library that is both comfortable and pleasing to the eye. The next project was updating the general bath while incorporating the existing avocado tub and toilet. She also had a vision that would exchange a rather small dining room with a much larger and seldom-used living room - we couldn't be more pleased with outcome of this move. Ms O'Brien's use of color, texture, and design is absolutely brilliant; furthermore she goes to considerable lengths to find the right product or service.

I've worked with Catherine O'Brien on several home projects over the last five years and have always had wonderful experiences. Our most recent and largest scaled project was finishing my basement this past year. Whether designing a powder room, my kids' bedrooms or decorating a pool house, or creating the perfect basement space, Ms. O'Brien is a joy to work with. She's able to take the customer's ideas and make creative suggestions while staying within budget. She's extremely trustworthy and responsible and it's obvious she puts 100% effort into every job she undertakes. Prior to finding Grande Interiors, I had my share of awful experiences with designers. I always felt I was getting ripped-off, and/or pressured into buying furniture that really didn't fit my tastes. I can honestly say that this has never been the case with Ms. O'Brien. I would highly recommend Grande Interiors to anyone looking for a designer for any home project, large or small.
