Greene Construction

My wife and I have extensive experience renovating houses but the 2 floor addition was more than we could do ourselves. After getting various bids we decided to go with Greg Greene. The work on our 200 year old city house entailed moving the structural back wall out about 10 feet, 2 floors high. In addition we moved an inside staircase and restructured some kitchen cabinets and granite countertops. Without a doubt Greg Green and his crew did an excellent job, taking care about noise, cleanliness and quality of work. His crew was timely and we moved this complicated projects along without mishap and when we needed to make a small change his flexibility was easily given. We have nothing but praise for Greg Greene and have used him for several small jobs since. Do not hesitate to use him for your project.

Having renovated a 2 family house in South Boston I have years of experience with contractors. My experience with Greg Green has been my worst experience with a contractor ever. I hired Greg to dorm out my roof and install sliding glass doors. Upon completion of framing I noticed that the new ceiling height was not framed the same height as the existing ceiling. See photo below. First Greg denied this, then denied it was his fault. After the most painful email exchange in history (available upon request) he finally came on site to see the problem himself, acknowledged the obvious, and fixed it. Greg also ordered the wrong color sliding glass doors, and his guys installed the door handle in the MIDDLE of the door versus the side. When I showed this work to the building inspector and other contractors they were in disbelief. The electrical inspector said "Anybody with a pickup truck can start a contracting company these days". After 5 months of delays, Greg finally just refused to paint the doors. Lastly, there was a flat rubber roof that was not pitched properly and ponds water. Greg initially promised to fix this, but then after cashing my check refused to fix it. They key point to emphasis here is that multiple inspectors and contractors saw this and arrived at the same conclusion: STAY AWAY

Greg and his crews are awesome. I've dealt with them on 2 projects - one larger addition, and a small interior job. Greg followed up with me directly every step of the way. The budget came in exactly as promised, his people were professional, and he gave me great ideas for things I hadn't considered. Great job Greg!
