Howard Butler Furniture

This man is a gifted cabinet maker and a delight to work with. We have an amazing cabinet that the photos don't do justice to. Superb quality and unique.

After hearing about Howard Butler through a mutual Friend and then eventually meeting him in person, we decided to ask him to create a very special toy box for our godchild. As with any special gift for someone close we wanted it to be perfect. It is safe to say that Howard didn't disappoint on any level and produced something that can be truely treasured for many years to come. Communication throughout was perfect, made more difficult due to us living abroad. From his initial designs through to completion and delivery we really couldn't be more happy. A real craftsman in an age where unfortunately many things are mass produced. Many thanks Howard and we look forward to discussing any future projects with you. Thomas Harvey

The brief to Howard was a bookcase with a difference , something special. Howard's design skills and technical abilities are outstanding. The materials used were Cherry and Maple ,the curves on the bookcase are so beautiful its hard not to keep stroking them . The inlay work is stunning .He truly is an exceptional craftsman. We are now the proud owners of the first HB illuminating bookcase.

Last year i was given a project in where I was going to need something truly unique for a jewellery collection. We needed a character recreating from the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett which was going to be given to his family and shown at his memorial. I contacted Howard and we met not long after, instantly me and Beth (the woman making this collection with me) liked Howard and knew he was the guy we'd been looking for; he understood what we were asking for and even gave us ideas on our very first meeting. Over the next 7 or so months we had long meetings where we would throw ideas around and nothing seem to be out of his capabilities. We finished our project and the chest that Howard had made was so good it almost put our jewellery to shame! his attention to detail is fantastic. That project has been the biggest commission of my life and I honestly couldn't be more pleased with Howard's skill, work ethic, and communication throughout the project. I'm also pleased to say Howard's "Luggage" chest is now in the offices where Terry wrote his books. I'm also having something made by howard for myself now too. 10/10 - If i could give 11/10 i would.

I was privledged to be able to commission a Memorial bench from HB. My family and I couldn't be more delighted with what we received. The journey from initial brainstorm and sketches through to unveiling was personal, exciting and inspiring. HB work celebrates real cabinet making tradition and technique with a contemporary approach. Extremely fairly priced considering the attention to client, quality and detail. Highly recommended.

What a pleasure to deal with such a professional. The bookcase was a combination of my needs and Howard's artistic input. The result was an outstanding piece of furniture.
