I met Maggie in 1999 when she did her first project for me....paint colors for my house and window treatments for my kitchen. I knew right away she was the decorator for me. Since then she has worked on several major projects in my home. But, it was time for some serious re-freshening of my bedroom, kitchen and family room. I LOVE everything she did. She was respectful of my budget, my desire to keep some furniture and held my hand as we let go of décor she did 20 years ago. These rooms look amazing. They are so much more contemporary and make me smile daily. But more than that, Maggie is great to work with. She has an enthusiasm for her profession that comes through with each aspect of a project. I trust her and have never been disappointed. The trades people she uses are excellent and she monitors every step of their work. I highly recommend her.

I met with Maggie for a color consultation, mostly regarding my family room. She confirmed that one wall should be a bolder color and the others, a warm neutral. Would highly recommend her. She is incredibly creative and has a great eye for color and patterns.

I have worked with Maggie on two major projects in the last twelve years and have been extremely happy with the results! Maggie is great at pulling together bland or otherwise dated rooms with updated but livable color choices, interesting fabrics and window treatments, and anything else that gives the room more character. When we first moved into our house, she transformed our 1970s kitchen simply with paint and window treatments. We recently completed a major renovation and Maggie was so helpful! We have gotten so many compliments on our color choices, decorative painting, lighting, and other updates that Maggie put together that have made the house so much more interesting and fun than it could have been!

Years ago, Maggie was helping me to redesign my family room. She had the vision and foresight to predict trends long before they became popular. We talked about a wraparound leather couch, shag carpeting and fur throw pillows. I ended up getting divorced and the room never got finished. Now, several years later, I live in a great apartment in Houston, with a chocolate brown leather wraparound couch and a cream shag throw rug. Since there is no need to wear my mink coat in Houston, Maggie's vision prompted me to make the coat into four throw pillows. Everyone thinks I'm an interior design genius, but I am quick to give Maggie all of the credit. She is creative, smart and fresh in her thinking. Every design I have seen (including in her own house) shows terrific imagination. She is one of a kind! Next time I have a home to decorate, I know who I will call!!! Marjorie K.

I have worked w/ Maggie Hudson Blau for several years and on several rooms. I am always 100% pleased, if not thrilled. Maggie has a great sense of color. She mixes fabrics and textures to create sophisticated, but fun, spaces. She is also charming and easy to work with. I have recommended her to many friends and will continue to do so.

Maggie of Hudson Blau Designs decorated our entire house. We loved working with her and have recommended her to family and friends. She spent the time to really get to know us and our wants/likes/dislikes with regard to style and color. Each room is a gem by itself but she was wonderful at bringing the house together as a whole from a design and style perspective. We are thrilled with Maggie's work. Her sense of design, style, and willingness to include pieces we loved and wanted to keep, were all key to the project being so successful. We hired her more recently to redo my daughter's bedroom. That more recent project was successful as well. I highly recommend Hudson Blau Designs!
