We are very happy we chose Candel Homes. We selected the lot and plan and style of Villa, and left it in their reliable hands! They were always professional and easy to deal with, flexible in changes and proactive with helpful suggestions. Every person, including all the trades, were friendly, reliable and tidy. After almost two years we are still thrilled and the few deficiencies were dealt with as promised within a year of moving in. There is a reason they are Tommie award recipients.

I would like to personally thank Randy and his crew from Candel Custom Homes for working through a very exciting journey in building our new home. I knew from the minute I met Randy he was the person I wanted to work with. When we entered the decision to build, I knew a little about what to expect other than having had friends who have built. One thing I did know for sure thought was that I needed to work with someone who cared about the process, what myself as an owner would encounter, and be willing and open to work with me through the process in full. Randy and his crew did just that. He and his team were more than knowledgeable and answered any questions I had along the way (and at times I had many questions!!). Candel Custom Homes was recommended to us by a well known local designer. We met Randy Therrien to discuss construction of our “Forever Dream House.” Randy was direct, honest, confident, and we immediately felt a connection. Candel Custom Homes began construction on schedule. From the foundation, with the carpenters, framers to the painters, electricians and all the trades, they were professional and their work was superb. Our son, who is an engineer working in construction, kept telling us how well he thought things were being done. All through the build, Randy was there to supervise and our meetings were regular to discuss progress. Randy was always able to offer alternatives and would discuss the pros and cons of construction materials. He gave recommendations and would often suggest less expensive yet equally durable and aesthetic products. He seemed there for us, and was even more “visible” as the build came to the end. From obtaining permits, to scheduling and procuring the best tradesmen in the business, he stayed within budget. All was handled with ease and a smile! We have remained friends after the build. We would highly recommend Randy Therrien and Candel Custom Homes as a credible, responsible builder in luxurious,yet affordable homes.

We hired Candel Custom Homes to do a complete renovation of the main floor of our house. Having dealt with contractors for many years in commercial venues, I was very happy that Candel was not only reliable but also trustworthy, professional, honest and delivered on excellent workmanship and customer service. Candel’s employees cleaned up the house every day, both Kevin and Randy are excellent communicators in that they addressed issues that needed to be addressed right away and were upfront about the costs during the project. In my experiences, contractors don’t always tell you the full costs of a renovation in order to get the job. With Randy and Kevin, they were upfront with these estimated and potential costs at the beginning of the project and so there were no surprises. This is a very rare and good quality that Candel has that sets them above and beyond the competition. We are very proud of our home and we are consistently told by our guests what a beautiful house we have.
