On November 21, 2022 a deposit amount of $25,000 was given to the owner of the company. They originally wanted 90k but I refused because they couldn't justify it. From the time they started we had 2-3 good days of work out of them. Then they stopped showing up consistently. They were supposed to provide a schedule at the start but after repeated requests for 2 months they never could provide. It got to the point that they would not work for a week or two. There was little to no communication from them. Much of the work done was improperly installed and not per the building code. When I questioned it they said it was fine. Electrical junction boxes left hanging in the walls to be covered with drywall. Wires in the attic twisted together and wrapped with electrical tape. Water lines capped below the slab cutting the water supply off to the master shower and exterior hose bibs. Drain lines installed improperly. Electrical, plumbing and gas not installed per appliance manufacturer specs. For over a month I tried to get them to correct their shoddy work. They would not make corrections and disappeared for two weeks. The owner told me originally that they would probably be able to complete everything in 3 months. After 13 weeks they had not even completed the rough plumbing or electrical. I sent them an email terminating them from the job. I included pictures and a description of their work that I had been trying to get them to correct. I also provided them an accounting of how much of my unused deposit I expected back. The owner told me that he doesn't return any deposits after 3 days even though it doesn't say that anywhere in the paperwork. Now they have stopped responding to me. Since firing them I've had to spend thousands of dollars having their shoddy electrical, plumbing and framing corrected. Do not use these people if you want a smooth renovation project!
