Jenny did a great job helping us design our new kitchen area!! She came up with some great ideas and was very flexible in changing things to suit what we wanted. She is professional and did a great job working with our unusual space and making a great, functional kitchen.

Jenny Volk created a timeless kitchen for my home. The kitchen is as fresh today as it was when it was first installed in the Fall of 1998. She knew that I wanted to create a space that was reminiscent of my Grandmother's farmhouse kitchen, a gathering place. I have a love of all things old and had found (3) antique cupboards at an country auction. Jenny worked on incorporating these cabinets into the design. I then found a wonderful vintage cast iron sink at a salvage house, no matter what I threw into the mix Jenny was able to accommodate my whimsies as she built upon a final design. I believe that her flexibility and willingness to collaborate with me created astounding results. She is talented beyond words and her creativity is endless.

From start to finish, our experience working with Dovetail Designs was superb. Jenny and Randy Volk are thoughtful, innovative, meticulous, and very experienced. They design and build functional and beautiful spaces, they produce accurate budgets and schedules and they stick to them, and they know how to communicate and to collaborate. Our experience with Dovetail began with a complete kitchen renovation. Thereafter, and based on the dazzling success of that project, we remodeled our master suite and then moved on to other significant modifications to our main and second floors. Each of these projects ended with the same result-- dark, awkward, and inefficient spaces transformed into open, light-filled, and inviting rooms that provided abundant storage and, above all, served their intended purpose. We recently built a new home and our contractor recommended Jenny as a kitchen designer and boy am I happy he did. Jenny is wonderful, patient, talented and has an eye for detail. Jenny spent a huge amount of time with me and was always calm even with changes I wanted to make. She walked me through all aspects of kitchen design, listened to what I wanted and made sure I got a beautiful kitchen. I liked her and her kitchen design so much I used her for all our bathrooms too. Jenny and Randy worked through an issue we had during countertop installation and never let me worry about a thing. I couldn't have gotten a better more beautiful kitchen. They are fabulous.

During 2013-2014 we initiated a full scale remodel of our Stowe,VT home. After several frustrating attempts to develop an acceptable plan to renovate our kitchen we contacted Dovetail Designs. Jenny Volk invested considerable time getting to know what our particular needs were regarding our style of cooking and entertaining. Jenny did a thorough assessment of our work habits, storage needs and our general lifestyle. We were presented with a series of options for the kitchen layout which were further refined with Jenny's help. She then guided us through the selection of cabinet styles and finishes. Jenny's husband, Randy, did a wonderful job with the installation of the kitchen cabinets. Throughout the entire process Jenny and Randy worked cooperatively with our general contractor, Patterson and Smith, to jointly create a stylish, functional kitchen which we thoroughly enjoy. We highly recommend Jenny Volk and Dovetail Design.

Jenny and Randy were amazing to work with! They worked closely with us and spent countless hours customizing a kitchen that suited our family's needs. They were meticulous in the design and measurements of everything. Even a year later...if we have problems they are at the house immediately to see what is going on and to fix it - GREAT customer service! We thoroughly enjoyed working with Jenny and her husband Randy. From the very first moment we met, I felt like Jenny understood what I was looking for in the way of my dream kitchen. Jenny has a great deal of knowledge and experience and moved us through design phase into construction seamlessly. The cabinets and style she recommended for us, melded the modern industrial style we were going for throughout the house with a transitional style wood cabinet in red birch, both a nod to the past and a look to the future. Jenny's attention to detail and her overall excitement about our project, made this such a pleasant experience. By introducing ribbed glass to some of the upper cabinet doors, Jenny truly made our kitchen unique and contemporary. As a design professional myself, I really appreciated her sense of style, her willingness to guide us through the process, along with her integrity and honesty. Jenny Volk is a delight to work with. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skills from her many many years of design and remodeling. Our kitchen zoomed straight from 1966 to the 21st Century — and stayed on schedule and within budget. In terms of design style, Jenny will take a design where ever you want it to go; she can come up with a complete look or let you take the reins and help you achieve whatever style you're going for, from rustic country to ultra modern. But no matter what size or style you end up with, you can be assured that your kitchen will be the most well-put-together, most functional kitchen possible. She analyzes usage, traffic flow, storage needs, lighting — without her firm guidance we would have made some very unfortunate errors. Instead, every day we notice how well the space works. Can't thank her enough!!
