Jerome is amazing! We moved into new construction so we just had a pile of dirt in the backyard and we were not sure what to do with it. Jerome worked with us from concept through installation. He had great ideas and incorporated our feedback into the design. His crew is great too. Really hard workers and friendly. Highly recommend going with Jerome!

In June 2020, our family moved into a new home in Escondido, California and the HOA required approval of a landscape design for any exterior improvements. We were very fortunate that a sales person from a water filtration company stopped by to provide us with their company information. Towards the end of our conversation, she highly recommended Jerome Hymes, Sanifu Landscape Design. We met with Jerome several times and finalized our design plan to submit to the HOA, During our conversations, he was very attentive to my wife's romantic garden concept and provided helpful suggestions. Also, we needed to have our design done in phases and he was very understanding. We were very pleased with the completion of the first phase. His staff did excellent work and finished by deadline. And then COVID. Finally, February 2022, we contacted Jerome to begin the next and largest design phase, with some changes from the original design, As always, Jerome was accommodating and helpful. On March 13, 2022 we signed the revised design with completion deadline March 26, 2022. My father-in-laws birthday celebration with large family gathering. Work started March 14 and deadline was met. Our family was so impressed with the new yard and craftsmanship, and will be spending more time enjoying. The planning, material deliveries, execution, attention to detail, accommodating changes, and extremely hard work by Jerome and his staff is worthy of the highest rating possible. We love our new romantic garden! In addition, we already have another project for Jerome and his exceptional staff. We appreciate Jerome and his staff for making our romantic backyard a reality!

I could not be happier with my landscape project. Jerome met with me and took my ideas and come up with a design that was exactly what I was looking for. He and his team worked to turn that idea and design into reality. This was a fairly large project and involved removing my front yard, walk way and replacing it with front steps, patio, wall and a natural landscape. It really is a dramatic transformation.

We used Sanufi for our hardscaping project in our new home and could not be happier. Jerome followed up very professionally, others did not. Jerome and his crew exceeded our expectations with a project that was perfect and early to finish. I could not be happier and recommend them for any project big or small.

Five stars without hesitation. My wife and I bought one of forty-eight newly developed homes in Carlsbad and we we're one of last to get our landscaping done. We've waited to see how our neighbors were doing theirs, and we wanted make sure to be different and unique and also took our time to find the right Landscape designer. After meeting several potential contractors we settled with Jerome with Sanifu Landscape for several reasons. One, was going through their portfolio, we liked mostly everything they've designed and executed. Two, the first meeting we had with Jerome, he took down every wish item we asked for and didn't give us any push back on what was possible or not and was willing to take the challenge on some unique requests. Three, Jerome was readily available to almost every time we've reached out to him during the initial design phase- day and evening. Lastly, may not be the case for everyone, but shortly after our meeting, we got back our landscape design plan and we're very happy with it and only made a few changes to keep it within budget. Although, things did take a bit longer to finish, it was understandable with some of the things we've asked for that we both had to work though to get what my wife and I wanted. Overall very satisfied, highly recommended.

We are still waiting for our revised plans. We gave this guy $1000 good faith deposit for designs and future work on our new home. The HOA deemed his plans 'unacceptable,' and we asked him to make a change before we resubmitted, i.e. move the fence line, but Jerome stated he'd need an additional $500 on the spot before he would provide them. Because of the headaches with the HOA, we reluctantly agreed and asked him to invoice us; this was over a week ago and still no plans. The problems began when we refused to sign his 'service agreement' locking us into outrageous stipulations. So we're out $1000, we have no plans to submit and he's no longer returning our texts.

We had talked to a few landscape companies before we decided to go with Jerome Hines at Sanifu. He impressed us from the start with the level of professionalism and knowledge he demonstrated. We provided Jerome with a very rough idea of what we wanted, and he came up with a beautiful design for our backyard. Jerome took the time to understand what it was we were looking for by asking us our stylistic preferences and likes and dislikes. He was open suggestions and changes in his design, but also provided sound recommendations and alternatives if what we wanted was not the best option, which we greatly appreciated. The professionalism and knowledge that he demonstrated helped us to really trust him with the entire process. He also made sure to stay within budget. We could also tell that Jerome really cared about his design and work, and that it was not just another project for him. He took his time to make sure that everything was just right, down to the placement of every single plant. We could tell that he really cared that our yard was what we really wanted. In the end, he transformed our dirt lot into a beautiful and serene place, and we couldn't be happier with the way our yard turned out. We would definitely work with Jerome again should the opportunity arise, and I would highly recommend Jerome to anyone looking to get beautiful and quality work with a landscape architect you can trust.

Landscape project included design and installation of front yard on a slope. We are new to Southern California and needed guidance on plants that work in full sun in our area. The design required working with us as a couple that have differing opinions and design sensibilities. We couldn't have picked a better person to sort out all our requirements and come up with a result that is so beautiful and pleasing to us both. Jerome was conscious of our budget throughout the whole project. He was great to work with as were the people he hired to work on the job. A great crew! We have a front yard that is admired by friends, neighbors and passers-by. Some of our neighbors have tried to emulate the designs we implemented. Some have commented on how expensive they thought our job must have been. Everyone says it is the best landscape on the block!! We couldn't have picked a better company to work with. As the plants have matured everyone keeps marveling at how great the elements of the design are coming together. It is a rarity to find great people with the talent to get along with the homeowner, listen to our likes and dislikes and come up with solutions that have exceeded our expectations. Not only that, the price was fair and reasonable. Jerome really made a difference in this project. Every day we admire the beauty he has created for us.

I had my front yard put into zero scape. Not only was the design great but the attention to detail and communication was wonderful. Jerome is a great person to work with. Jerome has good men working for him and things went very smoothly and on time. The cost was kept at what we agreed up on. I would hire this company again!!!

We live in the back side of a cul de sac and had grass for a long time until the wild rabbits made an ongoing salad out of it and killed it off. Since then, we have wanted to have our backyard have an interesting and creative design. We hired Jerome Hymes to put together a design for us. And an amazing and creative design he did. He showed us the design plans and it looked interesting and creative, but when I came home after the first day of them excavating the backyard, I just stood there and was so excited about how our backyard was going to look. It was far beyond what I had imagined. They installed a winding paved walkway, arranged boulders, built a bridge, put in a watering system, and planted drought sensitive plants. His guys showed up every day when they said they would until the project was complete. Jerome or his foreman then came back several times over the next few months to check on the plants and make sure the watering system is working as it should. Jerome and his crew were very enjoyable to work with and Jerome is of the highest integrity. He worked very hard to stay within our budget. Months later, when we had the drenching rains, I was so glad that I had someone to call to put in drains on another area of my yard where I hadn't had him work as yet. They came out just a few days later and spent a week grading the ground and installing the necessary pipes and drains. I was actually looking forward to our next rainstorm after that. Jerome is an incredibly nice guy and we are so glad to have met him and have him to call whenever we have a project that needs a creative high integrity hard working guy on our side. Debbie Severn

I met Jerome Hymes at a Home Expo Show and hired him to create a design for my backyard. I found Jerome to be attentive and professional and captured my scattered thoughts into a beautiful design that I plan to use to create a backyard oasis. Jerome took the time to get to know me and what I wanted and produced a great concept. Due to personal circumstances I am not able to use Jerome and his team to do the work but plan to in the near future.
