John Harrison Jones, AIA Architect

I am late on my recommendation for Midcentury 2016 and 2018. John was wonderful to work with on the renovation of my 1961 mid century home. He really listened to my ideas and turned them into reality. He worked very well with the rest of the renovation team. He was so honest about expectations of how the renovation would evolve including design ideas, time frame and price point. I highly recommend him for your next home design. I love this firm's work! John and his team have designed a home for me; construction to begin soon...a great group of folks. All of them are great listeners and very professional. Since I first reached out to John a couple of years ago to see if we could work on this project together, I have been impressed John's artistic sense and architectural ability. During a couple of our design reviews, it was amazing to watch John sketch solutions to issues/concerns on the fly; a great talent. John gave a me a very real assessment the space requirements and potential project costs and produced a design very consistent. I'm truly pleased with the design and looking forward to getting the house built. A great experience; very happy to have had them doing my design. Absolutely no regrets! We used John Jones for a large scale remodel of our lake house on Greer's Ferry Lake, including adding a large family room, complete kitchen and master bath redo, and adding a laundry room and full guest bath. He and his team were always professional and a true pleasure to work with. Our contractor noted that his plans very thorough and exacting, and John was always available for questions. He was very conscientious of our budget and completed plans in a very timely manner. His plans for our addition and remodel transformed our previously choppy floor plan into a spacious and comfortable living area that optimizes the gorgeous view from throughout the house.

John is a joy to work with! He helped us with our kitchen remodel a few years ago and I couldn't be happier with the results. He has a great eye for what will work with your home and lifestyle and is incredibly professional in offering his opinions. I would love to work with him again in the future should we decide to remodel any other part of our home.

Dreaming of a family farmhouse! Having never built from the ground up, my husband and I chose John, after meeting with several architects, and immediately knew we would enjoy relaying our desires and working thru it with him. John quickly grasped our wandering thoughts and gave us several options for ( areas of activity and living). I am a big picture girl and my husband digs into details so John had his hands full. We loved every meeting and minute as our dream creation came to life. I can be stubborn at times and he kept me in line for my poor husbands sake. The finished result is far beyond our wildest dreams and expectations and our entire family will enjoy our farmhouse for years to come and will be passed down to our children. We would go down the exact same trail again!!!

My husband and I bought a 1950's ranch in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2014. Initially, we wanted to just replace the kitchen cabinets and maybe remove a wall. One wall led to many walls and we then realized that we needed an architect to help with a simple kitchen remodel. We interviewed several architects but chose John Harrison Jones because from our first meeting, he listened, asked questions and sketched what is now our dream home. (We liked his Houzz pictures and website as well.) It was important to us that our house stayed true to its character, and we felt John could do that. And boy, were we correct! Working with John and Binu was honestly the best experience we had throughout the process. They were organized, on time with dates and deadlines, on budget, and provided such amazing guidance to our entire project, which ended up being the WHOLE HOUSE. The kitchen remodel turned into a massive home renovation, and we would not change a thing. Each decision was made with precision, forethought and great design. We had such a lovely experience with John Jones. He became completely caught up in our project and did his best to capture the aesthetic of the local community and environment. We went through many design iterations and John and his team were so patient with us. His visit to the site in Canada was instrumental in getting the whole project 'just right'. Everyone who has seen the cottage says it is amazing and perfectly positioned on the property and I couldn't agree more.

John and his team are fantastic! He spearheaded a group with very strong opinions and gently and wisely guided us to create our family and friend retreat. His attention to the details....superb! What a pleasure to work with and learn from.

We gave John a list of things we wanted and what we wanted it to look like and within a few sessions we had exactly what we dreamed about only better. John is different than some architects who are all ego and won't listen. Have worked with him on many projects in the past. He is practical and understands family and has a great sense of scale. His biggest gift is placement. He has an innate ability to look at a piece of property and perfectly place the project.

The Lawrence Group has contracted with John Jones to design all of the town of Wilson, AR. new houses and apartments. His work has been exceptional. His houses feature attention to detail and abundance of natural light. I can not think of a better qualified architect to design for an individual or city. John Faulkner Town Manager
