Chelsea and Jill from Jilzart were incredibly easy to work with. We had a relatively small grass backyard that we wanted to make draught tolerant and more functional. Through the planning process Chelsea did a great job of incorporating our style and needs into the final proposal. She has a great eye for design, and was able to create two livable paces that are both functional and beautiful out of our old boring, rectangular grass yard that quite frankly we would never have thought of on our own. As impressed as we were with the design, we were even more impressed with Chelsea during the construction and installation phase. She has a great crew that did topnotch efficient work while keeping the worksite clean and tidy each night, which was much appreciated during this Spring's especially rainy season. Chelsea really excelled as a project manager, showing up every day to problem solve implementation details or make design tweaks to insure that the finished project met or exceeded the proposed plan and our expectations. We are absolutely thrilled with our new backyard, which now has a comfortable seating area around a fireplace and a dining and BBQ section both surrounded by beautiful draught tolerant plants and great lighting. I highly recommend Chelsea and Jilzart to anyone who is looking for a top quality, professional and talented landscape architect.

Chelsea from Jilzart did an amazing job on our small townhouse garden project. She redesigned our back patio planting bed and rooftop planter garden, and was intimately involved in the project from initial design to installation. I loved how responsive she was to both our needs and our questions. When the initial design estimate came in at a number that was higher than we budgeted for, she worked closely with us to get the number to something we were comfortable with. The plants, hardscape and rooftop planters all look wonderful and we are very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommended.

My husband and I moved to our dream house a year ago and it had everything we wanted except a patio. There was a built in barbecue area, a pool and then just grass. To make matters worse, the grass by the barbecue was always like a swamp and looked horrible. We really wanted to get a concrete patio to go with the look of our house and make our backyard more usable. I got quotes from 3 different landscapers, including Jilzart. Not only was Jilzart the most affordable, but it also came with an added bonus: someone with an amazing eye for design. They didn't just quote us on a slab of concrete. They gave us the idea to create squares of concrete with artificial grass in between to make this area flow into the greenery of the rest of our yard. The artificial grass truly blends in with the real grass in the rest of our yard. They also helped us plant beautiful succulent arrangements in planters to make the patio feel like a true oasis. I loved their design aesthetic so much that I also had them help me with the interior of my home. Creative, affordable, reliable and on schedule!! I highly recommend!

We hired Jilzart to creat a drought tolerant front yard for us, after admiring their work around the Palisades. They went far beyond landscaping, completely reimagining and improveing the hardscape, style and functionality of our home. We now have a new 'outdoor room' patio overlooking a lovely landscaped garden that we use daily to relax, dine and enjoy the California sunsets. Jilzart Design redesigned and worked on the front and back yard from 2010 to 2013. As a result, I have a beautiful and unique garden with a custom designed wood fence. Jilzart started the low maintenance, low water garden idea long before it was popular. They incorporate a design element taking into account the whole house and are able to transform a simple space into something spectacular by raising a planter, introducing rocks or a simple stone fountain. Jilzart Design is incredibly knowledgeable about the plants they use and very particular about sourcing and using the best plant for the space. The team combines real artistry and business. I cannot say enough good things about this women owned landscape company.

I worked with Jilzart in my last house to redo three baths and a kitchen. When I bought a new house I didn’t hesitated to call again to redo my master bath.
