I hired J. JACKSON AIA for several large scale home remodeling projects over the past few years (2009-2012), including the addition of a covered and screened porch complete with columns, flagstone, and stone fireplace; a basement remodel that involved clever solutions for eliminating duct work and unsightly pipe supports and included a new kitchen, massive stone fireplace mantel, revised stairwell, bookcases, cabinetry, etc; and lastly a complete makeover of my kitchen/mudroom and master bath and office -- all of which turned out to be absolutely fabulous, very tasteful, upgrades to our home. One of the best aspects of the various designs was how seamlessly each new area was integrated into the original parts of the house, but made it so much more beautiful and functional. Suddenly rooms opened up, light was let in, materials were beautiful, transitions between rooms smooth, work spaces useful. The things that bothered you about living in your original home (ex. narrow doorways, low ceilings, poor circulation, low grade materials) were all addressed and revised with precision, artistry, and attention to budget. Even my builder loved the plans! The detail made his job so much easier. I appreciated the firm's attention to every facet of the project, from the very beginning of the design phase through the construction phase, assuring the successful completion of each project. Jennifer Jackson's front elevation plan for our home transformed it from a bland synthetic stucco house to a warm and inviting character filled home. New windows and extensive detailed Azek molding added that extra layer of detail. Her vision and professional skills enhanced our home not only visually but also financially. She was wonderful to work with and was very familiar with current building materials made to withstand our mid-Atlantic weather.

Jennifer Jackson has worked on several projects for my husband and me. She designed our home, designed our basement when we decided to finish it, designed our pool area and pavilion, and has worked with us on various remodeling projects for our second home. She is a talented, knowledgeable professional, and a pleasure to work with. There is a traditional, classic, yet "clean" aesthetic to her work, which I find very appealing. She is great at taking a client's needs and ideas and pulling together a beautiful design, and she is effective at communicating that design and working with contractors to see it to its fruition.
