Working with JoAnn Lyles was a a total pleasure from start to finish. As a CKD, she immediately and accurately interpreted what we wanted in a kitchen renovation and guided us through all the steps from design to choice of cabinets, countertops, backsplash and hardware. She kept us informed of delivery timetables and responded promptly to questions we had along the way. One key element to a quick and satisfying turnaround time is that she connected us with an excellent contractor, Glen Rozzi who oversaw the project in a meticulous way, addressing every detail and effectively problem-solving when necessary. This synchronized coordination definitely enhanced the execution, craftsmanship and final product. In summary, JoAnn Lyles is the consummate professional and an extremely nice and competent person. I highly recommend her without reservation for any project u might wish to undertake.

Working with JoAnn was like handing your baby over to your trusted friend who already has a dozen children of her own. I totally trusted her! And with my design taste and her expertise in what is possible we were able to create a dream WOW kitchen that was on budget and on time. I've now employed JoAnn twice to design my kitchens, the last time after recently moving house. I cannot speak highly enough of her. She listens and delivers exactly what you envisage, has no problem staying within your budget, and has a million bright ideas you might not have thought of to improve your envisioned design. She's an absolute delight to work with and doesn't try to guide you into something you don't want or can't afford, and does it all in the most pleasant manner. I cannot recommend her highly enough whether you're about to spend a fortune or working on a tight budget.

JoAnn Lyles was a pleasure to work with in the renovation of my beach cottage. We had limited and difficult space, but unlimited desires and needs. JoAnn managed to help me create my dream Kitchen with everything I hoped for, in budget, while having lots of fun. I would definitely use her again on another project.

JoAnn knows what she is doing. We renovated a 40-year-old kitchen in a 70-year-old oceanfront cottage in Amagansett from floor to ceiling. She helped us choose countertops, cabinets, appliances, and hardware. The result is stunning! Every single person who has seen it (or a picture) is thrilled with the result. She also managed to move up an etched-in-stone delivery date so all of us--two families and their children's families--could be included in the final decisions and assembly. She worked with our contractor and architect as well as with all the members of our family; it was truly a group effort, but she was the one who had to guide our taste as we merged our opinions, and then negotiate with the companies to get deliveries synched. She also kept the project within budget, no small task considering all the parties concerned. She made herself available to us for every little thing. We are grateful for her expertise and professionalism.

It was a lifetime goal for us to build our dream house. For me, the most important part of that home was to be my newly designed and constructed kitchen. When we asked our architect who would best help fulfill that dream, he recommended JoAnn Lyles at Riverhead Building. Over the course of our project, JoAnn proved to be an incomparable resource. From the first time we sat down together, to the very last facet of our installation, JoAnn's scope of knowledge and attention to detail made everything about our project the success it became. Her questions allowed me to consider aspects of the design that incorporated every nuance of the accommodations to be included in my floor plan and workspace. The selections she recommended always reflected her understanding of my expressed needs, wants and preferences. Our completed kitchen is magnificent. It is truly the showcase and center of our new home. JoAnn was always available throughout the long planning process and on-sight during the building experience and installation. What a difference it made to work with such a positive and pleasant kitchen professional!

JoAnn Lyles was most helpful during our kitchen renovation. Although we basically kept our original layout JoAnn had many great ideas to tweak our layout to create a space that seems totally new. JoAnn guided us through the current trends so were able to incorporate some of them in our design. Communication is very important in a kitchen renovation and JoAnn met with us, returned emails and phones calls in a timely manner. We are thrilled with out new kitchen and JoAnn was a pleasure to work with.

JoAnn is a knowledgable and thoughtful designer. We gave her our ideas, and she designed a kitchen for us that was more than we could have hoped for. Our kitchen now has more storage and ease of movement because of her insightful design plan. She knows the products available to her, and her plans reflect a knowledge of space and "eye appeal." We, also, appreciated her kindness and patience with us during the stressful planning process.

JoAnn is a skilled and experienced designer, with all the personal traits you could ask for in the person helping you create your dream kitchen or bathroom. She is warm and caring, easygoing and patient, a great listener (with a fantastic memory!), and very generous with her time and her knowledge. She is professional at all times, and yet has a great sense of humor and the ability to transform the stressful decision-making process into a more relaxed, enjoyable experience. She is sensitive and thoughtful when it comes to each client’s specific wants/needs (or their limitations in terms of space or finances), and she has the smarts and creativity to find happy compromises when a couple has differing styles. From the start of our job, my boyfriend and I had planned to perform some of the work ourselves, and JoAnn helped us figure out what made sense (from both a practical and financial standpoint) at each step. Her measurements and estimates were consistently accurate, and she kept us – and our contractors – informed of our project’s progress at regular intervals. She was supremely conscientious about our budgetary and scheduling requirements, and she always delivered on time – or even ahead of deadlines. It was a joy to collaborate with JoAnn on our new kitchen and master bathroom, and we will absolutely seek her out again, if we ever take on another project.
