The bamboo fence that graces the corner lot at the intersection of two Parkways, is the vision, design, and work product— from start, to finish— of Mr. Bill Plummer, and has resulted in a uniquely beautiful bamboo fence that I (as homeowner) quickly came to refer to as "Zen Magic." Lighting, also designed and placed by Mr. Plummer, accents various sections of the beautifully striated natural bamboo; most notably, the inset gate of the fence, [also, Mr. Plummer's design inspiration] bringing the gate to a lighted coloration, at darkness, that is of complementary hue to the rest of the fence. At night, the gate is visible from a distance along the Parkway, glowing as if carrying the light from within the bamboo itself. In the daytime, the complementary colorations are reversed, wherein the gate appears dark and the fence, light. While in process of building, and with completion, the fence drew much interest and continual positive comments, regarding its beauty, originality, and contemporariness as well as timelessness. This particular fence has an added, optional feature of natural wood pieces placed between the two sections of bamboo fencing, to provide sound barrier to any traffic sounds of the nearby Parkway. This, again, was Mr. Plummer's idea. The bamboo of the fence catches light and shadows of the tree leaves in a mesmerizing patterning, always in motion. I highly recommend the talents and workmanship of Mr. Bill Plummer. I could not be happier with the results! I look at the fence many times daily, from within the house, and without., making it my intention to see the lighted gate at nightfall. I continue to have many compliments on the beautiful art that is this bamboo fence, from those who pass by, neighbors and strangers alike . . .
