I cannot say enough in praise of James and his team. From the beginning of our project, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with his work and work ethic. He is honest, knowledgeable, highly responsive, and runs a tight ship. It’s not easy to find a contractor who takes such pride in their work while making the project work well within the confines of a budget. We hired him, initially, for bathroom renovations (including conversion of a tub to walk-in shower and custom vanity build), tile and wood floor install, and some exterior work, and I already plan to use his services again for future building and renovations.

James and his crew recently completed our master bath remodel. It took a little longer than expected, but it was worth the wait, and we are extremely pleased with the end result. We have other projects planned and will definitely use them again.

Josh and James have done several projects for me and my wife from adding crown molding, flooring to a whole house remodel. They get it! They can take your vision and make it reality. Great attention to detail with a keen eye on budget and timelines.

We originally met with James to do a tub to master shower conversion in our bathroom, but ended up doing almost a whole house renovation in addition to our bath remodel ... popcorn ceiling removal, sheetrock repairs, some new lighting fixtures and hardware, and new floors through most of the house. We are loving our “new” home! James and his crew were great to work with. He was very responsive during the project and the workmanship was great. We would definitely recommend and work with him again!

James and his crew really did an amazing job redoing my downstairs floors! He really worked with me to keep costs down while still doing things the right way. The quote given was very reasonably priced, there was thorough communication, and everything was very up front. They had some creative solutions and really went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the end product. I would recommend them to anyone doing a remodel!

My final product in 2 bathrooms was wonderful. Quality was great and my only complaint was that it took longer than I expected.

My wife and I hired Joshua James Builders to paint and put other finishing touches on our master bathroom. When James came to our house to assess and quote the project he said, “It will look like a new bathroom.” We had other quotes for the project but theirs was the lowest (& most reasonable) AND James was right; it looks like a new bathroom and we couldn’t be more pleased.

James and his crew have performed projects for us for several years. They are always upfront about costs before they begin the job, and they’re always timely with their work. James inspects everything and won’t wrap up the job until he feels that every detail is taken care of and the work is done perfectly. We are always very satisfied, which is why we keep hiring them!

James Wells and his crew converted an old shower stall into a linen closet and did an excellent job for us. They were very polite and professional and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Also i would highly recommend them if anyone needs remodeling work done,

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found HRR. I live in Colorado and unexpectedly inherited a house in the Baton Rouge area that was falling apart at the seams. The HVAC unit in the attic had been leaking for several months; the ceilings in the bedrooms were saggy and the fan blades drooped down like banana peels from the water damage. All of the walls were stained yellow with nicotine build-up and the whole house smelled like an ashtray from years of smoking inside. There were literal holes in the ceilings where the light fixtures used to be, the gas lines were leaking from three different places, the carport columns had completely rotted out at the bottoms, and I don't believe there was a single bathroom fixture that wasn't leaking from at least one place. I called dozens of contractors in the area, screened them over the phone, and flew in to meet with the five that made the cut, including James with HRR. He was by far the most impressive. He was punctual, knowledgeable, honest, and patient. He took the time to walk through the entire house with me, inside and out, answering all of my questions and making great suggestions. He was very upfront with me; he didn't make wild promises that he obviously couldn't keep and he also let me know when I asked him for things that didn't actually need to be done. He didn't rush me the entire time even though, as I found out while he was leaving, it was his birthday and he had a party to go to. When I later called James to tell him that I decided to go with HRR, he quickly emailed me a copy of their license, proof of insurance, a detailed scope of work, and pricing to look over. He again answered all of my questions and rewrote the scope multiple times until I was happy with it. I had a friend who is a contractor where I live look over everything and he told me that HRR's pricing was more than fair and the deposit they were asking for was much less than he would have asked for. Once the scope was finalized, HRR started on the work immediately and the neighbors reported to me that HRR was over there all the time, working tirelessly. James was fantastic about keeping me informed on their progress and would send me photos and text updates regularly. If I had questions on anything, he would always text or call back within an hour. When he had questions, he would wait for my answer before moving forward. For example, when he found that the ceiling insulation didn't need to be replaced as was stipulated in the contract, he asked if I wanted to just leave it. I said yes and he gave me a credit back for what it would have cost to do the work. When it comes to property repairs and contractor performance, I am not an easy person to impress. I've worked in Commercial Property Management for years and a large part of my job is dealing with vendors and pointing out flaws with their work. However, HRR exceeded my expectations in every way and were able to completely transform my dilapidated house into the most beautiful home in the neighborhood. I cannot say enough about how great they were. James has an incredible eye for detail and they fixed everything, right down to the pull cords on the lights in the closets. They even took it upon themselves to correct some dangerous electrical wiring, even though it wasn't in the contract and they had no obligation to do so. In fact, even after all of the work was completed and they were paid in full, James followed up and asked if there was anything else I needed or if I wanted him to mop the floor again! I am honestly blown away by how amazing HRR is and cannot recommend them highly enough! I wish they were in Colorado so that I could hire them for all of my projects. They take a tremendous amount of pride in their work and it shows! They work quickly, are priced fairly, and their quality is second-to-none. If you're looking for the absolute best, HRR is it!

We had hired James and Josh to do my husband's shop and they were so great that there was no question about who we would call to rebuild our house after the big flood. My husband called James while the water was still in the house. Within three days after the water had receded they were there to do the tear out and mitigation. Within two weeks we had walls and a toilet and bathtub so we moved back in. They worked around us from then on. They were very reasonably priced when friends and neighbors have been having to pay twice the money for half the work. And even though I upgraded in several areas, stayed pretty close to within the budget that was given us by the insurance company. And now 5 months later, not only is our house finished but I have the kitchen of my dreams and a beautiful home where I go from room to room admiring the exquisite work of these intelligent, creative and hardworking men. And this with all of the many many other homes they were rebuilding. They have been working 6 and 7 days a week even though their own or family member's homes were also flooded. Our poor neighbors on both sides still have not moved back in. I cannot recommend them highly enough
