Kate Reynolds Interior Design

I was overwhelmed and a bit lost trying to remodel our entire house. Luckily I found Kate who helped me step back from making the big decisions and helped to create a room concept and mood board. She was really fun and easy to work with. It really helped creating this with her as it laid the foundation of all the decisions we made with decorating our bedroom and made it much easier creating a calm and peaceful bedroom we love! We asked Kate to help us tie together a multi-functional kitchen/dining/living space in a Georgian period building which was open plan, but had very clear distinct areas. She listened to what we wanted from the space, what inspired us, came to see how we use the space, understood our tastes and took inspiration from some of our artwork. Her enthusiasm for the project was contagious. The designs she came back with perfectly met the brief and we love them! We've decided to do a small bit of building work to create a new area in the space so have put the plans on hold for the time being, but are looking forward to putting her suggestions in place in the next twelve months. Would hugely recommend her.

Kate worked on the renovation and redecoration of our Georgian home in London. Specifically, she created lighting plans and concept boards at the planning stage of the project, and offered advice during the later phases. The project involved an extension, total rewiring, replumbing, redecoration, and furnishing of a 2,000sq ft property. Kate’s assistance was enormously valuable and led to a demonstrably better finished project than we would have managed without her, and indeed better than we would have achieved if we had worked with other designers we have used previously. Kate was especially good at understanding our requirements and our personal preferences, at interpreting our (often rather vague) ideas and combining all of these into implementable design elements - all whilst managing to add valuable suggestions and steer us away from possible pitfalls. We never felt that we were being forced towards what Kate would necessarily choose for her own home (which has often been the case when working with other designers), rather that she was guiding us towards the decisions that would work best in ours, whilst remaining representative of our own tastes. The outcome is a house that reflects us, that feels like our home, but is aesthetically worlds away from anything we would have achieved without Kate’s help - this was exactly what we hoped for. It was a pleasure to work with Kate and we would certainly do so again.
