She helped us create a new sunroom which we absolutely love. She helped us realize our vision and stayed within our budget. We really appreciated her attention to detail and her ability to pull it all together.

We discovered Karen Herrick Design from a search on Houzz.com. From the moment we met with Karen she started to observe and pick up on our style and taste. Karen helped us to think outside of our comfort zone which is the key to the beauty of our finished product. She 'gently nudged' us to different directions and I can honestly say there is not one suggestion she made from paint color to art work to tile to fabric choices that we didn't agree with her suggestion. She went above and beyond in searching for just the right item, color, fabric for our home. Our home is stunning and yet comfortable, warm and homey. I cannot recommend Karen enough and thank Houzz.com for introducing Karen Herrick Design to us.

We hired Karen to help transform our itty bitty horrible main floor bathroom, horrible to the degree that I didn't even want people over, to the most beautiful small bathroom I have ever seen-I cannot even believe it's mine!! It's a showcase now. She knew exactly how to keep the integrity of our 1950s ranch home with a classic, elegant and very functional design. We have a house full of boys so every detail was done to ensure durability yet it is so beautiful you would never even notice that the countertop is indestructible. All you see is a spectacular countertop. Her ideas on taking the tile up farther behind the toilet with a house full of boys was spot on, not only for cleaning purposes but it is beautiful! She also helped us with lighting in our dining room and an update in our kitchen. Our kitchen was bad, bad, bad, updated about 10 years ago by a friend who was a hack. Karen was able to help us update it without redoing the whole thing and now it is just so beautiful I cannot even believe it. I love having people over now! I am so proud! Karen was pretty much spot on with her estimates, the contractor she recommended is amazing (his tile work is meticulous), and the way she worked with him took all the pressure off of us when it came to anything we wanted changed or tweaked. She was absolutely open to and worked with us to come up with a fixed price that included all her services-all we had to do was ask and she happily worked with us. I cannot wait until we are able to move to the next project with her. Having her in charge of the design, I know my house is in the best hands. Thank you Karen for making my house beautiful!

We hired Karen to help us with a very big project- helping us design our dream house. After 2 months we realized that this is a too big of a project for her. She knew places and sent us to some great stores for tiles/ bathroom, however was not able at all to help with the design. Also it was disappointing to know that Karen charged us for EVERY text messages we ever exchanged, including address to places she had recommended (in addition of course, to her hourly rate). She is really NOT the designer you see at HGTV.. maybe if you have smaller projects. We understand much better now, after we completed our project and built our dream house. We had a wonderful designer who helped us so much! So - if you have a big project- keep on looking.

Karen helped me with a master bath tear-out and remodel. She found the hard-working and capable contractor, and communicated with him daily. Fantastic, thorough, great eye for style choices, made it happen from start to finish! Would use her again in a heart-beat for the next home project! Like most major home construction projects it cost more and took longer than planned. But it was worth it!

Karen help us with our backyard remodel and I can not thank her enough for her ideas, dedication and involvement in the project. She has a great vision on what is going to look great, so the process of selecting what to do where was really easy with her. You also need to add that she is a fantastic project manager who is on top of all contractors without much need of your involvement, we could have gone crazy with slow, non performancing contractors if she was not there every single day checking their progress and quality. We will highly recomend Karen and we will hire her again for any project that we might have in the future.

Karen was great to work with and was extremely patient with me. She was able to work with some existing furnishings along with newly-purchased items. The end result looks great and is both comfortable and functional. Definitely recommended!

Karen worked on a home built in entertainment center/kitchen book banquet project for me. She helped in the design, procurement of major items, hiring of contractors, and general overview of the project. Karen was very conscious of my design requirements, cost constraints and overall needs. When contractors were delayed with some items, Karen made sure I was up to date on timing. Karen checked In regularly with the contractors on site and made sure things kept flowing. Overall I was very satisfied with Karen and her colleagues. She is as professional as they come.
