We hired Peter and his team to complete a bathroom reno, as well as install new flooring, doors, and windows for our outdated house. We found Craig (our primary contact) to be reliable, knowledgeable, professional, and easy to communicate with, and he was responsive to our many questions throughout the project. Our bathroom has now been completely transformed and the entire process was less stressful than we had expected. We would recommend Kingswood and would consider them again for future renovation projects.

We had our flooring installed by Kingswood. The work was sub par. The floors were not properly prepared and we ended up with air pockets below several places in the floor. The baseboards were not nicely joined leaving some rough joints. Two doors were left scraping the thresholds but later fixed even though the installer told us to do it. They did not mitigate the dust created by installing plastic to protect some rooms like the kitchen or bathrooms. It took 2 1/2 days for 2 of us to clean after they left. They were supposed to clean but did very little. Considering they were very expensive I cannot recommend them.

Last year, we hired Peter to take on the task of redoing our home's exteriors, which included the siding, windows and deck. The entire process has been a pleasure as Peter and his team succeeded in completing nearly everything before winter arrived. Peter's team worked well and were very thorough. Although there are a few outstanding items left because of the weather, Peter made us aware that they will be completed come spring. We are very happy with the renovations and would most definitely recommend Peter to anyone who is looking into home renovations.

After speaking to many contractors for our home renovation, we selected Peter and Kingswood Builders because of their experience, their follow through on providing an estimate in a timely manner and the recommendations made. This initial experience with the company extended throughout our five week renovation. The renovation involved replacing the majority of the flooring throughout the house, opening up the living space, electrical work and removing the popcorn ceiling - all messy work. I can't speak highly enough of the person responsible for the project - Craig who was there on a daily basis. He kept the worksite clean and safe, moved the subcontractors along when necessary and his construction work was impeccable. He was easy to deal with and tactful, especially when my husband and I had different visions on some of the projects. The subcontractors that Peter introduced us to, were all of very high quality. They took pride in their work and worked very hard to complete their work in a timely manner. We appreciated Peter's responsiveness to our calls and questions and his frequent check ins to see how the project was progressing. If we had another major renovation, we would definitely contact Kingswood Builders again

After 28 yrs in our home, it was time to update. We had driven past Kingswood Builders' office many times over the years and decided to give them a call to see what they could do for us. After meeting with Peter, we knew immediately that he was the right man for the job. Our renovation included tearing down walls to create an open concept in the main living area, redoing the ceilings, a complete renovation of two bathrooms and a kitchen, new flooring throughout the main floor, new railings on the staircase, and the re-facing of our fireplace. Peter and his crew did a fabulous job. We were very impressed by the quality of the workmanship. Everyone involved was very approachable and accommodating. The entire renovation was completed in a timely manner and on budget. Many thanks to Peter and his site foreman, Craig, for their expertise and professionalism.

Peter was recommended to us by a family member who was very happy with a renovation project Peter coordinated for them a few years ago. Our project included the kitchen, main bathroom renovation, replacement of lights throughout, replacement of interior railing and interior/exterior paint. We were very impressed by the quality of the workmanship in most aspects of the job. Like with all renovations, there were ups and downs but Peter and his crew were very approachable and accommodating. They were ready and willing to tackle any problems that arose. Peter has high expectations of his crew and they in turn are ready to go above and beyond. We are very happy with our renovations and felt well taken care of throughout the process.

Kingswood Builders is a company we hired on three separate occasions to complete major renovations. Several good friends highly recommended them and we were not disappointed. First we completely renovated two full bathrooms and replaced old water pipes throughout the house; then we had half of our basement including laundry room finished; and finally we had our kitchen completely gutted, removed walls, and now have a fabulous open area! We have had so many compliments from people who have seen our renovations and want to know who did the work. All work has been completed, with a high degree of skill and precision, by ticketed trades in all areas: carpenters, plumbers, tiler, and electrician. The people we dealt with are excellent - everyone is hard-working and honest and easy to get along with – we felt very comfortable having them in our home every day! The company partner who we worked with, Peter McArthur, was a pleasure to do business with. He gave reasonable quotes (that didn’t change unless we added additional jobs), excellent advise, and he was always willing to listen to what we wanted to do with our home. We know people who tried to save money and do their own sub-contracting for major renovations and the results were a disaster! You can’t go wrong with Kingswood – “You get what you pay for!” Kingswood has a storefront office and has been in business for many years. They stand behind their work!

We contracted with Kingswood Builders Group Ltd. from the Spring to early Fall of 2014 to add a family room and covered deck to our Coquitlam home. Overall we are very happy with the results and are pleased with the service we received. All the people who we came in contact with who were a pat of, or associated with, Kingswood Builders were courteous and professional. However, we were most impressed with the Master builder assigned, Peter; and the Architect, Natasha. Peter was experienced and a genuine pleasure to deal with. He answered our questions in a way that we understood, accommodated changes or upgrades that we added, and took care of any problems that arose. For example, when there was a problem during the installation of the new roof, what could have become a nightmare was averted as he showed up early the next morning and quickly had the problem fixed. Natasha had wonderful ideas for the project, several of which we incorporated and which made the addition even better than we had hoped. She was patient with us and generous with her time and even came back at the end to help us choose colours for the interior space. We are looking at renovating the front of our home in a year or so and we will definitely look at having Kingswood Builders do the work, especially if Peter and Natasha are assigned to our project!

Kingswood Builders Group carried out a renovation of the interior of our 39 year old house. The project included removal of interior walls and closets, reconstruction of the main stairway, construction of a theatre wall with a gas fireplace, conversion of a family room into a hobby room and a gym, refinishing various rooms, installation of wood and tile flooring and complete rewiring including the installation of LED pot lights throughout. Kingswood coordinated all architectural drawings, Engineering, Permit Applications and inspections. Peter McArthur is a well-experienced, professional General Contractor. He provided a reliable and complete estimate which he did not exceed. The need for any extra work was fully discussed and estimated before commencing. His crews and subcontractors were reliable and completed the work in a reasonable time. I would definitely consider Kingswood Builders Group for any future renovations.
