JWS Technologies

We were looking for Vanguard Windows, so sought out JWS Technologies. We visited their showroom to see the windows in person, then had them out to give us a quote. I knew that I wanted this brand after extensive research, including recommendations from the pros on the Garden Web Windows Forum, now a part of Houzz (but just try to find it! They are hiding their best resource!). We got three double casement windows (for the bedrooms) and an awning window (for the bathroom). All have blinds in the glass. So, with a double pane window and an extra pane, you have a triple pan window going on. We don't hear much of anything from outside when they are closed! The only drawback with this set-up is that the control for the blinds requires that a pulley system be on the inside pane. That means that you must remove the screen to change the blinds's setting. Unfortunately for us, we have a neighbor who burns wood for heat only 60 feet away. His unpredictable lighting up means we can almost never open our windows, anyways, since wood smoke sets of my asthma. So for us, the doofus set-up was worth having the blinds inside the window. The quality of the Vanguard window is obvious. The many details make it look like a real window, not a big plastic replacement. They are solid and very nice. JWS was great with installation, too. They were neat, clean and did a really professional job. We have had the windows for a year now, and have had no problems at all.

We had JWS quote us for a whole house replacement for 20 window openings and a sliding glass door. This was our 3rd quote from area window companies. We decided to go with JWS because the Sunrise Vanguard windows were of a higher quality than Wallside. Additionally, the Sunrise Vanguard windows come with a LIFETIME warranty against anything- i.e. kids hitting baseballs through them, leaks, broken hardware, etc.. We also liked the fact that they would take more care during the installation versus larger companies like Wallside or Hansons that send large teams out to attack your house and finish the installation in 1 day. We are absolutely happy with the work that was performed. The windows look great and definitely make it sound more quiet in the house (we live near the airport). The outdoor temperature has dropped into the 30's a few nights and it feels warmer in our living room (8 large window openings). Our only complaint was really based around scheduling the installation based on weather. There were days that rain was in the forecast, but it only rained in the morning lightly or didn't rain at all so no work was performed, yet we had taken days off work or made arrangements for someone to be at the house to facilitate the installation. I feel if this could be fixed I would give JWS 5/5 stars instead of 4/5.

We recently bought replacement windows from JWS Technologies. They supplied us with Sunrise windows. We selected Sunrise, because of their high quality and price value. We are very satisfied with our new windows and with the installation. The two installers, Al and his son Al, did a terrific job for us. They great with the work they did. In addition they were pleasant to work with. We are happy to recommend JWS Technologies and Sunrise Windows.

JSW replaced two windows and a patio door this year. They offer great products and a good service. I would recommended them and hire them again.

I just had Vanguard windows installed just before Thanksgiving. So far I am very happy with them. My home is almost 100 years old and the old windows were original, so of course, there is a substantial difference. There was a miscommunication between the salesman, John Zook and myself, but that was rectified to my satisfaction. It seems that they are very concerned with making sure I am happy with their service and my windows. So far, so good!

JWS Technologies was the third company our family inquired with about replacement windows and the process involved to replace as many windows as our house needed. Once appointment was made, the president/owner of JWS Technologies, John, showed up at our door and proceeded to show us the differences between window styles and worked with us on what would be best for our window needs. John personally took actual measurements, not "guestimates" until an actual installer had chance to come out to house to perform this task like the last two companies actually did. John’s background as an installer/contractor for many years prior to starting his own company was reassurance we were talking and working with a company that knew how to get things done correctly. Once the windows arrived from the factory, JWS Technologies installed windows in a couple of days. The technicians who performed the install were friendly and courteous even is 90 degree heat and humidity. They completed the install in three days and cleaned up the work site after before leaving. Overall, JWS Technologies meet or exceeded our expectations.

We had 13 Vanguard windows installed by JWS Technologies. I truly like Senior Consultant, John Zook, he's personable, clear in his presentation & explanation of the functionality/benefits of vanguard windows. He answered all questions, we visited the showroom for additional presentations of more products. We also met John Whalen, Owner, he provided further knowledge of the Vanguard, JeldWen Product/Services. We surveyed & reviewed other companies, and we felt JWS pricing was good. The windows were installed as promised. The Installers were great, dialoguing to the fit and finish of each window installation. They cleaned up all materials and asked if we like how they look, and if we had any concerns! The windows are beautiful, its more quiet now and they're easy to clean. I highly recommend JWS Technologies.

We had 36 Vanguard windows and a Jeldwen French door installed by JWS Technologies. John was very easy to work with and patiently met with us several times and answered all our questions. The windows were installed as promised and we are very happy with the results. Our house feels very airtight now and energy savings should be significant. As an added bonus, we can tell a big difference in the level of road noise that we hear. We are very pleased with our new windows and would recommend JWS!

I am so thankful we chose JWS for our windows replacement project. Our 1950 brick colonial had its original wood windows and not only were they drafty, but the wood frames were beginning to show water damage from the years of assault of the rain and snow. Although we received presentations and quotes from several local and national companies, we selected JWS for the quality of the product, the reputation of the company and mostly because of the professionalism of the people. John Zook was extremely personable and knowledgeable, giving us all the information we needed to make an informed decision. The results are undeniable: The Vanguard windows are an incredible product and craftsmanship of the install is second to none, including completely replacing and sealing the window frames. I will continue to recommend JWS to anyone wanting to replace their windows!

I rate JWS Technologies 5 stars. I recently had 16 replacement windows installed in my home in December 2015. John Whalen (owner) is very professional and informative of his product of Vanguard Windows. I would definitely use JWS Technologies for any other home improvement projects in the future. The Vanguard Windows are beautiful. The windows have eliminated the drafts and my house is much quieter living on a busy road. I highly recommend Vanguard Windows.

My wife and I were searching for new windows for our 1969 colonial. We had 27 windows that needed replacing so this was going to be a very expensive project. We received estimates from 6 different window companies. JWS introduced us to the Vanguard windows during their initial presentation. From the first time I saw the windows, I noticed the very good site lines compared to the others. What I mean by this is with replacement windows, you tend to lose a little bit of the viewing area due to the larger frames. The Vanguard windows had the least amount of lost visual area than any of the others. We received two bids that were lower but both were within 12% of our price with Vanguard. I am so glad we chose to go with JWS. The windows look great, the sales team was quite friendly and knowledgeable and the installers were very clean and professional. I highly recommend JWS for your window replacement needs.

John and Glen came out to quote the windows. They measured all the windows, and then listened carefully to what we requested. We had already decided on the Vanguard window by Sunrise, but they brought a sample and went over everything. They entered everything into the computer and were able to price the job completely. When the price was higher than what we wanted, they were very patient as we added and subtracted options to reach our final satisfactory price. We ordered 17 windows. They were ready in 6 weeks, on schedule, and 2 men came out for the installation. They were professional, courteous and neat. They took out one window at a time, and put in the new window. When all the windows were installed they worked on the trim inside and out. It took 2 men a day and a half to install 17 windows on our ranch home. A couple of screens had snags and they send a man out to re-screen the windows. Awhile after installation, we noticed 2 tiny cracks in 2 windows. They sent a man out to measure and order new glass. When the glass was ready, he installed it and you would never know a repair had been done. Great customer service. We have already had complements from friends, family and other contractors who worked on the house later. We are very happy with the windows and very happy with JWS Technologies. We don't hesitate to recommend them to our friends.
