Kelly Johnson Design

We hired Kelly Johnson to be our designer for the building of our new home without totally realizing what we were getting. Kelly was involved, and thankful so, in all aspects of the design and the build. Kelly's ideas for the way the outside and the inside of the house would ultimately look took us in a direction we would never have considered. We could not be more thrilled with the final outcome. Kelly has a high degree of professionalism, knowledge and work quality that make her a pleasure to work with. She consistently meets deadlines and stays within the budget as set. I can not imagine the project going as smoothly as it did without Kelly's involvement. I would - and have on numerous occasions - recommend her.

Kelly did an amazing job in helping me furnish my home. She has a great eye for quality and detail and was able to take my vision and find pieces that reflected exactly what I wanted in terms of quality, comfort and look. I would highly recommend Johnson Design.

I have known and worked with Kelly Johnson for 16 plus years. When I first met Kelly she was the selections coordinator for high end custom inventory homes as well as the designer for the soon to be future homeowners. I see many of these homes to this day, they continue to be timeless. Over the last several years Kelly has been unstoppable, she has - from start to finish created some of the most beautiful homes I have ever been blessed enough to work on. Kelly is very open to new ideas, she loves motorized window treatments and innovative ways of concealing audio/video equipment that most find unsightly - I very munch enjoy working with Kelly.

Kelly Johnson helped me with decorating a new kitchen and family room edition. She always comes prepared, never wastes your time and has wonderful ideas. She listens so she understands your taste and can steer you in the right direction. She was so good we ended up redoing our dining room and even took it to the outdoors with new patio furniture. My husband and I love Kelly and would highly recommend her for any project.

So, after buying an existing home in St. Louis county, my husband and I agreed that we would need to redecorate the kitchen and living room areas. My husband and I do not agree on anything. The only thing that we could immediately agree upon was to contract an expert to make these decisions for us. Enter Kelly Johnson. We hired Kelly and described what we were looking for in a general way and told her how much money we had to spend. Within a week she had a plan and, wow, what great ideas. My husband and I couldn't wait to get started. Needless to say, the kitchen and living room look fabulous and we are still married! Thanks Kelly!

My husband and I finally bought our "Dream House". Built in 1922 it had everything we were looking for but my main requirement was that it was "old". I had visions of restoring it to its glory days! I had carried around a file titled "Old House" for years with pictures of ideas and furniture that I knew I wanted to incorporate into our house. We were only going to redo one bathroom, well maybe two. But as we admired our beautiful old girl, we knew she was worthy of an entire renovation. We had a few rules: update but respect the period in which she was built. And we had to keep the original floors and windows! I needed a decorator/designer who could incorporate my ideas and dreams, in a very tight timeframe, without it losing our ideas and influence. I interviewed several: some could not work within the timeframe, one thought I was too strong-willed and bossy, one didn't think I knew what I was doing. Kelly Johnson said "When do we get started?". It was a fabulous project and experience and became a wonderful friendship. She reined me in when I wanted too much glitz and had just as much respect for the house as I did. It was a perfect match! And it is, no doubt, the prettiest house in Saint Louis/Clayton area. After all, we have couples who leave their picture, name and number several times a month with a letter that says, "if you ever think of selling your house, please call us."
