We hired Decorating Den after a horrendous experience with a self appointed "designer". We started small due to our desire to not get taken again. We were beyond pleased with the outcome. Dawn Taylor and her team from Decorating Den transformed our kids' rooms into magazine worthy hangouts. We then hired Dawn to design the rest of our home. We asked that she use as much of our existing furniture and artwork as possible. Dawn spent time with us to find out which pieces had a story or some special meaning to us. The final product was fabulous!! We have used Decorating Den for several smaller projects and have been extremely happy with their work. I would not hesitate to use Decorating Den in the future!

They were great at choosing paint colors throughout the house, almost magical with the different flowing shades. They overcharge significantly (3-4X more than the store) on rug, lights, decorative items, & labor. She didn't change the layout of the furniture, but brought 3 people to redo our just our living room & charged us $150/hour. The outcome was nice mainly because they cleaned up the clutter & put up the wall decor nicely.

Thank you for posting a review, and we appreciate your business. I'm glad you're enjoying your "new" space with the help of our design team. I'm sorry you felt the pricing was not in line with what you might find at the store. We actually buy direct from manufacturers around the world at a wholesale price, and sell at retail, just like the stores do. However, there are some stores that carry "close-out" items, and those items can be marked down significantly from the original retail. As we order all new products, from the newest collections, we don't end up offering reduce-priced merchandise, but many of our customers tell us that they like that they're getting the most up-to-date collections. But we can certainly understand the market for the marked-down items as well.
