Be Careful: Lawns of the West left us with such a mess that I filed a law suit against them for $18,000 in Jefferson County Court, Golden, CO. You can look at Case 19C2136 to VERIFY that after a trial to the Court, the judge found in my favor for the full $18,000 plus costs. He denied any judgment to them in their counter suit for $8,943.35 which also blocked them from going ahead with their threat to file a lien on our home. Testimony by an expert witness at trial established that our job was not done correctly. For example, Darryl, the owner, used "Quick Fix Window and Door Sealer" paper to make all the seams in our front yard. After catching him doing that, he promised to redo those seams but never did. He agreed to use glue as required by the manufacturer on the back yard seams but they seams were so bad it looked like a kid or other amateur had done them. Darryl also promised an extended factory warranty but Easy Turf, the factory, said that he was never qualified to offer that extended warranty and said he knew that. So many broken promises, broken down equipment, poorly trained employees, job delays, and flagrant disregard for doing the job right. And even now, flagrant disregard for the Court's $18,000 judgment: He has never paid a cent. I regret having disregarded some of his other bad reviews. Good or bad, most reviews can't be verified. This one can be. If you hire him, hold back 40% of the job to completion and he agrees to do the work correctly.
