Level Ground Enterprise, LLC

Our experience with Level Ground has been a very Jekyll and Hyde whiplash. We selected LG for an addition and mostly full gut of our 1915 Park Hill bungalow in the spring of 2021, for a project bid at around $300,000. To start with the good, we’re really happy with the finished product, and our foreman Jason was an excellent carpenter and a really good person. We genuinely enjoyed seeing him daily, and have hired him for another smaller project. Everyone compliments our kitchen and addition. The tile subcontractor, the hardwood floor folks at Milan, and the painters did a particularly nice job and were lovely to work with (we lived in our basement during the majority of the project). The reason that we wouldn’t recommend LG is because of price gouging, terrible project management, and poor communication. LG forgot several large elements from their bid, despite being in the architectural plans (a back deck, the heated bathroom floor), and expected us to pay for them out of pocket at very high prices (I’m not sure how a heat mat is supposed to cost $2k). This was despite the fact that our contract explicitly stated that it was a flat fee for everything set out in the architect’s plans. We even expressed concerns they had underbid before signing the contract, but Luke looked us in the eye and said they were very confident in the bidding based on the plans, and would not come to use for change orders we did not initiate. Luke inflated the price on materials that he purchased for the project to an extent that made it impossible to work though him. We ended up ordering our own countertops and light switches, for example, because had we gone through LG, we would have paid several thousand more dollars for the same or lesser quality products. LG offered little in terms of project management, despite collecting >$50,000 in project management fees. There was no proactive guidance, either in terms of when we needed to order finishes or troubleshooting future issues. This led to numerous questions to us from the foreman and subs per day, and we were left constantly scrambling to order finishes or to make rushed decisions on important elements because LG didn't give us adequate notice. We are a doctor and a lawyer and we had to spend our weekends troubleshooting some of what the electricians had done. The plumbers were rude and a complete mess. Despite the flat fee contract and their verbal guarantees, we received numerous change orders for changes we did not initiate. This is simply not how one should do business and completely shot any trust we had with LG. Proceed with caution if you hire them and have a budget.

I have worked with Level Ground on a number of projects (I am an interior designer) along with my own home. I recommend them over and over because they are easy to work with, they have fair pricing, and they have excellent design ideas. They're truly artists. I can't recommend them enough.

We couldn't be happier with our mid-century modern Hilltop remodel. Luke and team are great to work with and delivered very high quality results. They also had helpful ideas and suggestions. We completely remodeled our 1950s kitchen and other main living areas including the dining room, living room, and family room after taking out two major walls. We highly recommend Level Ground.

Professional custom contractor who will work alongside you to provide you with the end product you want. Honest, hard working and timely. Best remodel experience I have ever had with the highest level of craftsmanship as the end product.

We hired Level ground for our kitchen remodel at our new place in Centennial. Luke and his team (especially John) were great from the start. Luke really worked with us up front on the re-design of our kitchen and walked us through the entire process. He really helped us decide on a design and materials that fit our ideas and budget. Then John came is and took it from design to reality. I recommend them to anyone I can. They did our kitchen at are previous house as well, and both times we were extremely satisfied. We'll have future bathroom and basement projects, and will definately hire Level Ground for both.

We couldn't be happier with Luke and his team's work on our basement remodel. We contacted him in October 2015, started work at the end of December 2016, and finished the project in March 2016, all on plan with our originally agreed-upon timeline. All along they way Luke not only communicated clearly and proactively with regards to timing and progress, he helped with suggestions to make our original plans even better. Level Ground's price wasn't the lowest, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was second to none. I would hire them again for any other remodeling projects, they are the best!!

Basement remodel was a success! LGE designed great built ins after a couple of consultations and the project was orderly and timely. Definitely recommend LGE.

Everything about Level Ground was excellent. Our project was completed on time and changes to the budget (which were minimal) were clearly discussed and laid out before the work was done. Everyone who worked on our remodel was courteous, professional and did excellent work. After working with Level Ground on this remodel we are ready to take on the next phase of our project with them.

Level Ground remodeled my 1952 year old house both inside and out! Not only did they do a phenomenal job, they were organized, communicative and had highest level of integrity I've experienced with a contracting company. They listened to my needs, as well as my wants, shared their thoughts and helped things come to fruition. The finished project was exactly what I had envisione(as well as exactly what they bid it out to be)! In the end, Luke, John and Phil became like family...can't wait to have them work on my next future project!

We recently completed a remodel of two bathrooms with Level Ground, after having a kitchen remodel almost 6 years ago. We have found Luke and his team to be easy to work with, conscientious about keeping to deadlines and reasonable estimates, and providing excellent workmanship. We get frequent compliments - someone called our kitchen a "showplace". We will work with them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality remodelling or construction.

Luke with Level Ground surpassed our expectations! Luke and his entire crew were very professional and respectful. We had a large project so they were with us for a few months and we really enjoyed having them around! They were willing to meet with us at convenient times for us and were very helpful at meetings with ideas and suggestions. Both our indoor and outdoor projects are stunning and their perfection and attention to detail shows. Whether your project is big or small, I would have complete confidence with Level Ground!
