Purcellville's Prominent Architecture Firm Creating Cohesive Designs
Longhouse Architects, established in 2019, is a firm of three licensed architects, each with over 15 years of experience. We approach each design project with the desire to knit together the needs and means of the client, the parameters of the building site, and respect for our environment into a cohesive architectural design. We believe that good buildings can enrich lives, build community, and create strong connections between inhabitants and the land they inhabit.

We had what I thought was an easy kitchen facelift planned. As it turned out, there was a lot I didn’t consider when planning our renovation. Longhouse Architects developed plans that modernized our ideas for the kitchen and provided practical solutions. I am so pleased with how the kitchen turned out. Longhouse Architects was so easy to work with and quickly responded to questions as they came up. I would definitely recommend Longhouse Architects for projects, big or small!

Working with Longhouse Architects was a perfect match for our home project restoring our 150 year old farmhouse. Laura listened to our needs and our wishes and was able to deliver a design that not only meets our desires for functionality but is accurate to our homes history and absolutely beautiful. Above and beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend.

We purchased a great house in Wardensville, WV. We love the house as is, but wanted to have a larger kitchen area and also to make better use of some areas that we didn't use much. The design options offered by Longhouse were not only ones that we specified, but they put extra effort into suggesting alternatives that we hadn't considered. (We actually chose one of their suggestions). Designs were completed before the due date and the architects were always available for questions or thoughts. Further, our contractors were very impressed at the precision of the plans which made their job easier.
